Jobs/Vacancies / Npower Please Pay Our Stipends by champman(m): 9:35pm On Dec 30, 2018
I want to use this medium to remind the national coordinator of the Npower,Mr Afolabi Imoukhuede, his promise, which has not been redeemed,as well as implore him to pay us(the nhealth volunteers of Owan West LGA of Edo) our long overdue stipends.
First of all,I thank the president, his vice and the national coordinator, for the engagement which the program has provided for thousands of our youths across the nation currently.
We have severally sent messages to the scheme's official Facebook and twitter accounts but no reply(s) to any of the messages,so we feel you can be reached via this medium
We are batch B beneficiaries of the scheme and this is the 5th month of our diligent and punctual discharge of duties at our respective PPAs without payment of our stipends.
We all have been duly cleared and 'enrolled'(as it is called) by the npower officials much long ago-which means we do not have any problem with our profiles. Why now delay the payment, when others(who even initially had problems with their profiles) have all received their payment?
Earlier this month, the national coordinator, while monitoring the program across the country, visited the above mentioned local government. That was when he was first notified of this issue, which he quickly responded to by promising that the backlogs would be cleared before Christmas-today is 30th! He even said that he had the list of the affected persons.
Sir,the situation now is very much daunting as we keep spending daily on transportation and other things to attend our PPAs-how do we cope with this-the 5th month?
We initially thought when the matter gets to your desk,it will be solved right away but now that you are even aware, made a promise and nothing done! What is now our fate?
Sir we hope to get a quick positive response from you as the situation is worse than discouraging right now.Thank you.

OLAADEGBU:

What does the Bible say?

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).
leave him alone,he is so naive and devoid of biblical tenets that he may perpetually remain an ignoramus(that's my fear).in line with what you said, they WORSHIP Mary more than they worship God(i pity thier souls and where they are heading for).in addition to your soul-saving write-up/post for which they(catholics)should be thanking you is the fact that they are IDOLATERS(no judging).this is because they mold frightening statutes of either Mary or Jesus(most often Mary) which they either kneel before or bow to.whereas the bible says in Exodus 20:3-5. “You shall have no other gods before me.
“You shall not make for yourself a carved
image, or any likeness of anything that is in
heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath,
or that is in the water under the earth. You
shall not bow down to them or serve them,
for I the Lord your God am a jealous God,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the
children to the third and the fourth generation
of those who hate me, but showing steadfast
love to thousands of those who love me and
keep my commandments.i bet you(catholics) to deny that the content of the verses above is obtainable in your misleading doctrine.THE STUBBORN FLY GOES WITH THE CORPSE INTO THE GRAVE.a word is enough for the wise, change from your perverse and heretic ways of worship simple.

Religion / Re: The Air Force Will Now Allow Airmen To Omit ‘so Help Me God’ by champman(m): 1:47pm On Sep 18, 2014
Apatheist: After an airman was unable to complete his reenlistment because he omitted the part of a required oath that states “so help me God,” the Air Force changed its instructions for the oath .

Following a review of the policy by the Department of Defense General Counsel, the Air Force will now permit airmen to omit the phrase, should they so choose. That change is effective immediately, according to an Air Force statement.

“We take any instance in which Airmen report concerns regarding religious freedom seriously,” Secretary of the Air Force Deborah Lee James said in the statement. “We are making the appropriate adjustments to ensure our Airmen’s rights are protected.

“The Air Force will be updating the instructions for both enlisted and commissioned Airmen to reflect these changes in the coming weeks, but the policy change is effective now. Airmen who choose to omit the words ‘So help me God’ from enlistment and officer appointment oaths may do so.”

The issue gained national attention in early September after a letter from the American Humanist Association outlined the case of an airman stationed at Creech Air Force Base in Nevada who was unable to complete his reenlistment after striking out the phrase in question on a form. The AHA said it was prepared to sue on religious freedom grounds unless the airman was allowed to reenlist without saying the phrase.
The requirement, the AHA argued, violated the Establishment Clause of the U.S. Constitution.

The issue drew attention to a previously unnoticed rule change: The rules governing the Air Force’s enlistment oaths used to include a note stating that “Airmen may omit the words ‘so help me God,’ if desired for personal reasons.” That exception quietly disappeared in October 2013, after which the Air Force required the inclusion of the full oath for any enlistment or reenlistment.

Now, the airman’s paperwork “will be processed to completion,” the Air Force statement said.
“We are pleased that the U.S. Department of Defense has confirmed our client has a First Amendment right to omit the reference to a supreme being in his reenlistment oath,” Monica Miller, an attorney with the American Humanist Association’s Appignani Humanist Legal Center, said in an emailed statement.
