Perhaps it would be better if you found a former SENIOR colleague, even a peer or former owner's relatives that worked there, to help write the ref letter, adding company ID, business card etc you could also add any docs that show company actually existed e.g. employment letter, your ID and maybe an LOE to explain company is defunct.

With a JUNIOUR colleague may VO not wonder how competent the person is to comment on your duties?

Maybe colleague is colleague and it doesn't matter though.....#JustMyView

Thank you so much. It is just the late MD, I and the junior worker (receptionist).

Please I have a question and I need your help.

My previous place of work is closed down and the company does not exist anymore (the owner died and the family closed the business) can I still use the year spent there as a work experience?

The company had a very small staff strength but I have a junior colleague that can help with reference letter (not on a company letter head). I am concerned that IRCC may not be able to get feedback if they want to do employment verification and backgound check.

Thank you.
