Politics / The Government Of Niger State Explains The Report Of The Islamic Cleric Being Sl by Charleyuchechuk(m): 11:29pm On Jul 16
The viral video showing state governor Mohammed Bago telling security guards to slap a man at the Fidua prayer for the late deputy governor Zainab Yakubu's wife has been explained by the Niger State Government.

In the now-viral video from Saturday, Bago was heard yelling in Hausa while directing a security guard to slap and arrest the man.

The cleric was merely an impostor who tried to pass for an imam, according to a statement made on Tuesday by Aisha Wakaso, the governor's special adviser on print media.

According to Wakaso, the guy later apologized to the governor and the Forum of Imams for his misbehavior and claimed that the security personnel had not physically assaulted or detained him.

The editorial "Bago: Let Temperance Reign" in the Daily Trust Newspaper dated July 15, 2024, has caught the attention of the Niger State Government. The incident that occurred during the three days of Fidau prayers for the late Deputy Governor's wife, Hajiya Zainab Garba, during which the Governor ordered security personnel to remove a person attempting to assume the spiritual duties of the Imams gathered at the Deputy Governor's residence, was misrepresented in this editorial and many other reports. In addition, some fictitious claims were made.

Fashion / How To Maintain The Cleanliness Of Your Shoes by Charleyuchechuk(m): 10:49pm On Jul 16
A Men's Guide
Shoes express your style and individuality, not just a means of transportation. Poorly maintained shoes can ruin even the most well-chosen ensemble, while well-managed shoes can boost your overall look. Alright guys, let's talk about how to take care of your shoes so they look great for years to come.

Enhance Your Brushing Skills:

Make it a practice to brush your shoes every day. Try to brush your boots a few times a week or after every wear. This gets rid of surface grime, dust, and other impurities that over time can harm the leather.
Purchase a high-quality brush for horsehair. The bristles will clean the leather softly and without causing any damage.

Give Your Shoes Some Gentle Loving Care (TLC):

Cleaning: Apply a leather cleaner created especially for the kind of leather your shoes are composed of. Steer clear of abrasive soaps or detergents as they may dry out the leather and produce cracks.

Conditioning: Use a high-quality leather conditioner regularly to maintain the leather in your shoes. By doing this, you can keep the leather supple and prevent cracks by replenishing its natural oils.
Honor the Others:

Rotation is Key: Vary up your shoe game by wearing different pairs each day. Allow them to breathe and air out in between uses. This will lessen the chance of moisture and odor accumulation.

Storage Recommendations: Keep your shoes out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry location. Give them space to breathe; don't stuff them all into a closet.

The Secret to Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur

The spirit of entrepreneurship is strong in many people. It's an amazing prospect to be your own boss, build something from the ground up, and make your ideas a reality. What does it take, though, to succeed as an entrepreneur? It is a rewarding and challenging adventure that calls for a certain combination of abilities and tactics.

An entrepreneur's heart: grit and passion

Passion is at the center. Your concept, an issue you're solving, or a service you're offering must truly thrill you. Your energy and motivation to overcome the inevitable obstacles are fueled by this desire. But passion on its own is insufficient. You'll need to be persistent to see your goals through and bounce back.

The Entrepreneur's Mind: Creativity and Leadership

Innovative problem solvers make for great entrepreneurs. They locate holes in the market and create creative fixes. They are also quite capable of being leaders. Entrepreneurs motivate staff, guide groups, and clearly convey their ideas. Building a strong corporate culture and attracting investment both depend on your ability to clearly communicate your goals and strategies.

The Flexible Business Owner: Accepting Shift

The business world operates at a rapid pace. Economic environments change, new technology appears, and customer preferences change. Successful entrepreneurs are flexible. They can shift course, accept change, and always learn how to stay one step ahead of the competition.

Politics / Imports Of Manufactured Goods Rise 139% To N5.74 Trillion Due To Naira Depreciat by Charleyuchechuk(m): 2:56pm On Jul 15
Data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Foreign Trade in Goods report for Q1'24 shows that the value of manufactured goods imported into the country has been on a quarterly upward trend from the beginning of 2023.

Stakeholders have attributed the development to the depreciation of the Naira and the competitive disadvantage of locally produced goods occasioned by the binding constraints confronting the country's manufacturing sector.

Importation of manufactured goods into Nigeria increased dramatically by 139% year-over-year (YoY) to N5.4 trillion in the first quarter of 2024 (Q1’24) from N2.40 trillion in the corresponding period of 2023 (Q1’23).
