When will these easterners stop dragging the name of Nigeria in the mud? The annoying thing is that most foreigners think every Nigerian is Igbo.

Travel / Re: Italians Send 13 Nigerian Refugees Out Of Their Camp For No Reason (Pics, Video) by Charlie31: 7:20pm On Jun 08, 2017
Please, stop embarrassing your country. What kind of asylum are you seeking? You are not qualified to seek asylum so stop the nonsense. And it's a known fact that you are always the architects of your problems, you will never keep a low profile, always loud, behaving as if you are back in your chaotic country. It's so bad that when foreigner meet a Nigerian they already expect the worst. To the point that when they meet a calm, respectable one they don't believe you are Nigerian. We need to change our orientation while abroad that's they only way to get our respect back. But that's in another life.

NYSC / Nysc 2017 Posting To Adamawa State. Is It Safe/acceptable by Charlie31: 10:01am On May 18, 2017
Considering the security threat in the area is it responsible of the NYSC to post innocent corpers to this area and put them in harms way?
I understand some people got a call up letter and lo and behold it's Adamawa. What is the NYSC thinking?
NYSC / Re: NYSC 2017 Call-Up Letter Updates by Charlie31: 9:53am On May 18, 2017
Please, has anyone been posted to Adamawa State. I understand nobody was posted there as of last year due to the security situation in the area. I know someone who just got a call up letter to Adamawa. Why Will NYSC post corners to this dangerous zone. And does anyone has the right to reject being posted there?
Business / Re: South African Netflorist Is Uncomfortable Selling To A Nigerian Man by Charlie31: 9:18pm On Apr 25, 2017
@mayoroflag Nigerian cards are not accepted in many places. Many South African online small businesses only accept local cards or western issued cards for payment. Card scams are a big issue so you can't blame them when they turn down cards from high risk countries such as Nigeria.
I have a US issued card and every time i use it in South Africa the US issuer blocks it. I don't complain I just call and authorize it. Knowledge is power.
Business / Re: South African Netflorist Is Uncomfortable Selling To A Nigerian Man by Charlie31: 9:09pm On Apr 25, 2017
I am Nigerian and a regular Netflorist customer and must say their service has been exceptional. I find it hard to believe this story. You should give us the real reason you are having problems with your order. Your response is typical of many Nigerians, very confrontational when all you probably need to do is ask for clarification. Why did you even send your proof of address and ID? What type of card did you use? Credit? Debit? International or local card? Something must have triggered suspicion. Please, tell us the real issue and stop making us all look uncivilized. We already have enough to deal with here because of our dodgy countrymen.

Travel / Re: "My Nasty Encounter With South African High Commission" by Charlie31: 1:44pm On Mar 02, 2017
This is standard with the South African home affairs office. Two years ago it took 2.5 months to get a visa in Abuja VFS. And even in South Africa, it takes 1-3 months to get a response depending on your specific case. When applying for a visa it's not black and white, you have to be ready for anything. And number one rule: NEVER MAKE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS BEFORE GETTING YOUR VISA. The US and UK are king enough to tell you this. They only need an itinerary to see your proposed travel dates to decide visa validity period. And you can book a hotel with free cancellation in case things go south. All in all this story shows the applicant had no prior experience traveling to SA.

Car Talk / Re: Man Crying As His Range Rover Burns (Photos, Video) by Charlie31: 7:15pm On Jul 21, 2016
If you have money to buy an expensive car, you should have enough to buy insurance against things like this. No need to cry like a baby. Shows you were living beyond your means.
Travel / Re: Nigerians In Pretoria, Sunnyside, South Africa Suffering. by Charlie31: 4:12pm On Jul 05, 2016
There is no price for your safety. Unfortunately uou chose to gamble with yours by staying in the most crime infested part of the city well known even by the authorities. Sunnyside is overridden with drug dealers, and other criminals and touts. The police station is just as bad because they employ local volunteers to help them which might be the ones harassing you in the guise of drugs because they have the backing of the police. They rob you and take you to their employers the police and it's your word against theirs. My friend spend some money and find a better neighborhood to stay and you will enjoy south Africa peacefully. When you choose to live in the ghetto part of a city expect ghetto quality treatment, this is the case even in the USA. Go and stay in the Chicago south side and you are likely to get shot coming from the arm as well. You can't struggle for street superiority with the locals.

Car Talk / Re: Why Is It Hard For Nigerians To Stay In Their Lanes While Driving. by Charlie31: 7:36am On Jul 01, 2016
@kYjelly2 This issue has been boggling me for a long time as well. It's frustrating driving on Nigerian roads. Last time I was in Abuja I almost lost my minds, it seems the lanes are invisible to almost everyone! The most annoying are those hugging 2 lanes like wtf! And when you honk your horn they lash at you as if you are the one in the wrong. It's sad sad sad.

Travel / Re: Iceland Deports Boko Haram Victim From Nigeria - Al Jazeera by Charlie31: 2:09pm On Jun 20, 2016
This is ridiculous. These are the types of people that drag Nigeria in the mud. If he was fleeing boko haram why didn't he flee to the east or south? Even the middle belt would have been safe enough, but he fled to ICELAND smh. This story will just expose his folly. That was how they showed one Igbo man with a group of Syrian refugees rescued from the sea crying on CNN crying that he is fleeing boko haram and seeking asylum in Europe. The foreign countries are not dumb.

Romance / Re: How Do I Handle A Stubborn Girlfriend? by Charlie31: 11:10pm On Oct 07, 2015
My friend, don't say you can't love someone else like you love her. You WILL find a girl and you will love her even more, this is from experience. If she is treating you this way chances are her heart is somewhere else unfortunately. What you have been doing has turned you to what they popularly call a WUSS which translate to weakness, which translates to unattractiveness.

In a civilized country this so-called lecturer will be dropped my the university like a bad habit. He will never get a job in any university again and he will be added to the sex offenders database. But this is Nigeria, this girl might not get the justice she deserves. So sad.

Unfortunately he did have her, which shows his class, and now he is getting burnt.

Business / Re: Conspiracy Theory Of What Could ‘happen’ To Naira/dollar In The Next Few Weeks by Charlie31: 10:28am On Aug 02, 2015
This is just a cosmetic move by the CBN to try and bump up the naira. This will on temporarily bring relief if at all any to the pressure on the foreign reserve due to the low oil price. As long as income from oil remains low this cosmetic measure will fail. In my opinion.

Not diminishing the gravity of the woman's action, the man is a shameless old man. He probably deserved what came to him. Feel sorry for his wife and 6 children. Now he can't lie to them again.

We all understand he is a celebrity. But this Peter guy is shady, I am sure Lola is having to deal with a lot from him.
I have personally witnessed his interaction with women once while abroad shooting a video. He was all over the girls instead of the other way around and giving and collecting numbers and being too cosy. I am a guy and I know when a guy is playing and he clearly was.
