Some POE are ruthless tho, once on an exchange program to a certain state, @ POE the immigration there would legitly check you to your knickers regardless of your sex or where you had traveled from(wondering if they still did so now thou), thought they were being racial or profiling me, next trip went with Mrs and kids for a vacation to this same country and we all went through the same process... Then, was when I ended my plot to head to the courts for perceived harassment or racism lol, But the state is one i would always want to visit again, they are just blessed. Be prepared for anything is best advise any traveler could get. It's called POE, e get why.. lolz

Yes ooo. Everyone prepare well pls. God bless us All.

You ridiculed Oyo state bro. Nothing dey delta unless you want to do oil business.
Ibadan is the 3rd major city in Nigeria after Lagos and Abuja.
Very big, developed and cost of living is cheaper. Even Most people that works in lagos put there families in ibadan and come home every weekend.

Have you lived in Delta State before?

Good afternoon guys, please do I still need to have my POF available in my account even if after visa approval?
I heard immigration normally ask for POF at the point of entry.

Now let me give you a personal story. February 2020 I had an emergency trip to the UK. Because I wasn't thinking of travelling at that time I didn't bother to get some pounds. I just went to my domiciliary account and withdrew 1000 USD cash and transferred 2000 USD to my Visa card. At Heathrow Airport the officer that attended to me asked me how much I was having as cash, I said 1k USD and I was staying for 10days. So I told her I have enough cash in my domiciliary account and visa card. Guess what she said! She asked for a proof. I brought out my phone , signed into Heathrow WiFi and opened all my accounts for her. She collected my phone and opened the TRANSACTION HISTORY. She didn't just see the balance. She wanted to be sure the monies belonged to me.

November last year I was in Toronto, then I visited Barbados. At BGI , the customs officers ( Two women) not immigration this time , counted every single cash I was with.

So please put your house in order before travelling. You never might know what they would ask you for. God bless.

Thank God I enter Nairaland this morning! Congrats on your move to Grenada. Please for your layover in( BGI) be very smart . Yes it's visa free but,,,,,,,,. If you're holding a Nigerian passport, the interrogation is always above board. I was quizzed for close to 3 hours at the airport even as I was coming from Toronto and will be going back to Toronto in 4 days time. Make sure you have enough funds with you and keep a clean slate.

As for the long layover, I will advise you remain at the airport. It's a small but a comfortable airport. To me I don't see any need going inside Bridgetown as that might increase the level of scrutiny again. Please be smart in Bridgetown! Good luck!

Cancel ke? Please don't o. It's for those who have scheduled appointment from February to October, if they qualify. I believe with time they will open up. Remember they started with January 18 to January 25. I think that was a test -run of the system again.

Please can you paste the full contents of the mail you received from the embassy here? Feel free to remove your personal details.

There is a lot of speculation around the interview waiver process and a lot of people are itching to know what's the status and how to go about it.

Thanks.

There's a link in the body of the email. If you have been issued a US visa before and you qualify for the interview waiver and you have appointment between February and October 2022 , then you can apply to drop off your documents at the Consulate.

Yes you can. My wife got 3 months multiple the first time she applied.

Single or multiple is not the issue. The main issue is for you to be able to convince whoever looks at your application that you are coming back to Nigeria after your vacation.

That's the KOKO. The ability to convince them that you will return to Nigeria is the koko.

This your reply na the bottom line. All other issues na moimoi.

Is this confirmed? Remember we are in the post Brexit era. Before that was the case but since Brexit, it looks like the rules have changed. Please see below or if you have contrary information, please confirm.

Traveling to the United Kingdom
Reintroduction of Airport Transit Visa Requirement for certain nationalities.
As of January 1 2021, citizens of the following countries who are holders of a British visa, long-stay visa or a residence permit issued by the British authorities will need to be in possession of an airport transit visa (ATV) if they transit through the Netherlands:

Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Democratic republic of Congo, Chad, Republic of Congo, Ivory Coast, Cuba, Dominican republic, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia (only Russians coming from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Turkey or Egypt), Senegal, Syria, Palestinians with refugee travel documents, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan and South Sudan and Sri Lanka.

Very true. I got a Netherlands Transit visa enroute London I had a schengen visa but was not valid for travel before I left for the UK So yes Nigerians need a transit visa if using KLM/ Airfrance.

Hello to everyone in this group and happy new year to you all. I would like to seek your advice / opinion on this: In 2016 my mom and I were successfully renewed our visa the first time via dropdox but the second time (2018) it was denied when we went for an interview for renewal (dropbox was cancelled). Now she has a serious medical issue (broken femur with total knee replacement degradation) and needs surgery and my uncle (her younger brother) who is a citizen has advised we bring her to the states for the surgery. My question is should i apply with her again or should her cousin (a lady with children) apply with her. I am weighing the chances of her getting a visa. Our last interview i was being asked all the questions and none was thrown towards my mom at the time and we were denied. My mom's cousin has never travelled before but my mom has been to the states twice and spent a month during both periods. Her travel history is India and US.

You stand a better chance of getting the visa this time around with your mum. Your Aunt doesn't have any travel history as you have stated. That might count against her. Please do this for the sake of mum's health . Mothers are Golden!. Goodluck to you both.

[quote author=iseoluwa89 post=108472373]Good evening everyone,

So I had my interview today with my wife for visitation. After spending like 20mins questioning us on why we came down to Nigeria from the Uk, what we do in the UK and we answered her she eventually held on to our passport saying she is placing it under administrative review. So she handed the blue paper and said we will get a mail within a week after the review.

Hope your status in the UK is fine? How long have you been in the UK? Please update us when the visa is approved. Congratulations in advance!
