JOIN THE SURVEY: Out Of UK Prison, Should Ibori Face Another Trial For Alleged Looting Of Delta State?
Though back in Nigeria from a UK prison where he served term for money laundering, EFCC alleges that Ibori still has some 170 charges pending against him at the Appeal Court in Abuja.

The anti-crime agency has accused him of embezzling about N40bn belonging to Delta State. Even the former Chairman of the EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu, alleged that the former governor attempted to bribe him with $15m cash.

Should Ibori face another trial in Nigeria for allegedly looting the resources of Delta State?

Buhari’s Death Could Provoke War Between Hausa And Yoruba.
Rumors about the state of health of the Nigerian president are well under way in the country. Muhammadu Buhari is currently being treated in a London hospital, without knowing more about the nature of his illness. Nigeria fears that a possible death of its president, elected in 2015, will revive ethnic tensions in the country.
President’s health. Nigerians have only these words in their mouths. Baba (father, surname of the head of state) died? The crazy rumor is running on social networks. The prolonged stay of Muhammadu Buhari in London gives rise to all speculation and debates. The press in Lagos is also passionate about the issue.
“Informed people” advise their friends to limit the outings in the hot districts. The brutal announcement of the death of the head of state could, according to them, “provoke riots”. But as the Guardian of Lagos points out, it is important to take a step back. “To announce the death of the president well before the hour, Nigerians are accustomed to do it,” said the daily newspaper.
A lack of medical infrastructure
In 2007, when President Umaru Yar Adua had gone to Germany for medical care, the rumor had quickly run that he was dead. The same went for President Ibrahim Babangida during his medical stays abroad. In Nigeria, the rich and the powerful have become used to being treated outside the country, especially in Europe.

BREAKING: No Signs To Show That Buhari Would Return Back To Nigeria Soon - Aisha Buhari.
There were mixed feelings in the Presidential Villa, on Saturday night, as the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, arrived Nigeria without her supposed sick husband, President Muhammadu Buhari.
Aisha who arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, was received by the wife of the Senate President, Toyin Saraki, wives of the Governors of Kebbi and Kogi States, wives of the Service Chiefs, as well as the former Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Pauline Tallen.
Aisha who had traveled to Saudi Arabia, where she had performed the lesser hajj, thanked all Nigerians for supporting her husband’s administration.
“I want to use this opportunity to thank all Nigerians for the goodwill and support for my husband, and Nigeria in general”, she said.

Shocker!!! Osinbajo Fears For His Life, Denies Occupying Buhari's Office, As Aso Rock Turns To A Ghost City.
Emerging report, indicates that the Presidential Villa was deserted, and all activities came to a halt, after the departure of President Muhammadu Buhari, to United Kingdom, UK, on what the Presidency termed, “routine medical check-up”.
Buhari had recently departed Nigeria for London, United Kingdom, after writing to the National Assembly, that he would proceed on a short vacation and resume on February 6. He later extended his vacation, based on the advise from his Medical Doctors in London.
Now, all actions have been shifted to the Vice President’s wing, from where Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has been calling the shots.
The Press Gallery located beside the Council Chambers in the President’s wing was deserted, as the population of worshipers who took part in Juma’at prayers at the mosque located beside the President’s office, reduced drastically.
Also, Buhari’s office has almost been deserted totally, since his departure. Politicians in particular, are no longer visiting the President’s office; and the Acting President, has been operating from the Vice President’s wing of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
Since January 19, only five State Governors have visited the Presidential Villa. They are; Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State, Mohammed Abubakar Badaru (Jigawa), Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Sam Ortom (Benue), and Olusegun Mimiko (Ondo).
This is in contrast to the usual heavy traffic of Governors and other top political figures, that troop there to consult with the President, on a very regular basis.

Politics / (MUST READ!!!) Why We Cancelled Declaration Of Niger Delta Republic – Adaka Boro by Chibuike56(m): 12:52am On Aug 02, 2016
Why we cancelled declaration of Niger Delta Republic – Adaka Boro AvengersBy John Owen Nwachukwuon August 1, 2016
A militant group, the Adaka Boro Avengers, ABA, said yesterday that it has cancelled earlier plan to declare the Niger Delta territory a Republic today (Monday).
The militant, however, threatened to continue its mission to destabilize Nigeria’s economy.
Recall that ABA had July 17 issued a three-week notice of its intention to declare the Niger Delta a Republic on August 1.
According to them, “Will not stop until the Nigerian government is ready to sit on a round-table to dialogue and to restructure Nigeria.”
This was part of a statement issued by the group’s spokesperson, ‘General’ Edmos Ayayeibo.
They said, “We received calls from prominent leaders like Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Mrs. Ankio Briggs, Chief. E. K. Clark and especially King Alfred Diete Spiff calling on the freedom fighters to abort their mission to declare Niger Delta Republic.”
The militant group further warned the Federal Government against having any peace talk with the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, describing them as “greedy fellows” who only seek their “stipends.”

The group said plans to declare the region independent was not for selfish reasons, adding that it was cancelled following appeals from elders and people of the area.
Leader of the group, ‘General’ Goddey, was quoted in the statement as saying that the anger of the group bordered on how “the Nigerian government has enslaved…the people of Niger Delta region.”
“We adhere to the voice of our people, because our struggle is for the Niger Delta people and not for selfish reason. But this is not the end. More is yet to come.
“Our mission to cripple the economy of the Nigerian nation will not stop until the Nigerian government is ready to sit on a roundtable to dialogue and to restructure the Nigeria.
“Unless that, we will not stop until Nigeria becomes a zero economy. We are also saying this for the benefit of President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigerian government to stop wasting their time with those greedy fellows that call themselves MEND because nothing good will come out of them rather than sabotage.
“Those old fools cannot stop us and they know it very well. We know what they are after is all about stipends.
“Everything they are saying, not even one will be accomplished. We will never agree with anything they say and henceforth MEND should watch their back because we have tolerated them for a very long time.
“Enough is enough, since they want to set confusion in the Niger Delta we will start from them.

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu Set To Renounce Biafra? You Need To Read This! by Chibuike56(m): 12:33am On Aug 02, 2016
Nnamdi Kanu cannot renounce Biafra - MASSOB.
– MASSOB says Nnamdi Kanu cannot renounce Biafra
– The group says they don’t see Nnamdi Kanu betraying his belief on Biafra
– MASSOB says nobody can renounce Biafra because it is an identity, culture and tradition
The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) believes that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) cannot renounce his group’s demand for an independent state of Biafra.
Reacting to reports that the federal government was working out an arrangement for Kanu’s release from prison if he renounced his Baifra agitation, MASSOB described the condition as“laughable and inconsequential.”
In a statement by its leader Uchenna Madu, MASSOB says they don’t see Nnamdi Kanu betraying his belief on Biafra.

The statement read:“MASSOB does not see Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as one who can betray his belief on Biafra, he is not a sell-out, his ideologies on Biafra may differ, he can never betray hundreds of Biafrans that died recently on the course of Biafra.
“Secondly, Biafra is not a religious faith that can be renounced or abandoned. Nobody can renounce Biafra, it is an identity, culture, tradition and existence of group of nationalities, it’s not personal or individualistic.
“There are thousands of Biafranistic persons more determined, consistent, dangerous, focused, and unshakeable than Nnamdi Kanu, Uchenna Madu and other leading figures in the Biafra struggle.
“Biafra is also bigger than all the leading figures put together.
“It is childish on Federal government to expect Nnamdi Kanu to renounce Biafra, the fate of over fifty million people.
“MASSOB advises Buhari to save his battered Nigeria’s face from more diplomatic shame by allowing the court to grant Nnamdi Kanu and others bail.
“We shall continue to press for their release including the ultimate aim of Biafra actualization with non-violence. Nigeria will soon experience another dimension of non-violence struggle that will marvel it. Soon the world will celebrate the downfall of the most corrupt country.”
A progress report on the dialogue between the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) and agents of the federal government, at the weekend, said an arrangement was being worked out for Kanu’s release from prison custody by the federal government if he renounced his Baifra agitation.
But Presidential spokesman Garba Shehu could not confirm MEND’s weekend claim. Shehu said the government had not received the report of the talks from those it authorised to discuss with MEND.

– The Nigerian army said it would use force if current efforts at dialogue with the militants in the Niger Delta region fail
– The army advised the militant groups to take advantage of the federal government’s willingness to use peaceful means to end agitation in the region
The Nigerian army has called on militant groups operating in the Niger Delta region to embrace federal government’s willingness to end agitation in the region peacefully rather than resorting to violence.
Speaking on Monday, July 25, in Port Harcourt at the inauguration of a newly built ultra-modern 2 Brigade headquarters complex and an Olympic size swimming pool, among others, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen Tukur Buratai, said the government is still committed to dialogue, This Day reports.

Buratai was ‎represented by the General Commanding Officer of the eighty-two Division of the Nigerian army, Major-General Ibrahim Attahiru.
He said: “Government is still committed to dialogue and whereby this cannot go on – then there could be resort to other means.
“The non-kinetic (force) means has always been the first choice before government can recourse to the kinetic means.
“So, there is need for the Niger Delta Avengers to see reason and dialogue with government.”
The army chief commissioned a 25/25 Olympic size swimming pool, a new building at the Military Hospital along Aba Road, among other projects initiated and completed by the outgoing 2 Brigade Commander, Brigadier-General Stephenson Olabanji.

However, the militants have insisted they are not in talks with the Nigerian government.
Its spokesman, Mudoch Agbinibo, said Buhari’s government had not demonstrated any sign of sincerity to indicate that it was ready to engage the militants

Buhari, who has not spared the military even in his ongoing anti-corruption war, said senior military leaders, led by former military president, General Ibrahim Babangida and General Aliyu Gusau, removed him in August 1985, to save themselves from his wrath.
In an interview with The Interview magazine, Buhari challenged Babangida and Gusau to tell the truth on why they carried out the coup against him.
“I learnt,” he said, “that Aliyu Gusau, who was in charge of intelligence, took import licence from the ministry of commerce which was in charge of supplies and gave it to Alhaji Mai Deribe.
“It was worth N100,000, a lot of money at that time. I confronted them and took the case to the Army council in a memo…I wanted Gusau punished.”
Babangida in December edition that there was nothing in the memo which Buhari said he submitted to the Army council.
“Don’t forget that I was one of Buhari’s closest aides. I was the chief of army staff. So, I had an important position, an important role to play within that administration. I don’t think it had to do with a memo,”Babangida said.
Buhari became in charge of Nigeria on December 31, 1983, after he and his loyalists overthrew the government of Shehu Shagari.

The president had earlier said he knew Babangida was planning the coup against him. It may sound incredible, but they discussed it together with him at Buhari’s office.

Politics / Scandal: Father Mbaka Makes True Confession On His Affair With Jonathan by Chibuike56(m): 6:15pm On Jul 24, 2016
WHAT CAN YOU SAY!!! Father Mbaka speaks on oil well deal with Goodluck Jonathan. – Rev Father Mbaka has spoken out regarding an alleged shady affair with Goodluck Jonathan
– Mbaka says he did not beg the ex-president for an oil well
– He says he has no regret regarding his 2015 prophesy
Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka said on Sunday, July 24, that his detractors are after him because of his 2015 prophesy which came to fulfillment with the dawn of change in the country.
Father Ejike Mbaka, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and President Muhammdu Buhari at the state house.
The charismatic Catholic cleric disclosed that he had nothing to regret over his 2015 prophesy of change, where he had predicted that former President Goodluck Jonathan would be defeated in the presidential election.
Mbaka equally dismissed as baseless the claims that he fell apart with Jonathan over the latter’s refusal of his request for an oil well.
The outspoken priest who spoke through his media aide, Barr Maximus Ike Ugwuoke on the sidelines of the activities ahead of his 21 years priestly ordination anniversary, said he would not regret the 2015 change prophesy despite the current sufferings Nigerians were experiencing.
READ ALSO: We are not going to be part of any dialogue – ND Avengers slam MEND, issue new statement
Instead, he recalled that he had also on several occasions released prophecies on the current hard times bedeviling the nation.
The priest, however, maintained that the previous administration, which ran a wasteful government should be held responsible for the present situation.
According to him:“when these prophesies come, it must not be what people think or want; people are entitled to their views; those reactions mean nothing; the important thing is that there is nothing he had prophesized which never came to pass; the ministry does not care how people feel about his prophesies. Some call him controversial priest; some call him fiery priest and all that, they are entitled to their opinion. The fact remains that he is a true prophet
“I will tell you something, it is not for us human to judge prophesies; he was the only person who said Buhari would win; if it were in the olden days, all those so-called men of God who castigated him would have received the wrath of God immediately. All of them should be ashamed of themselves now.
“When you look at that prophesy on Jonathan, he gave it and it came to pass; don’t forget that two months before that Prophesy, Jonathan’s wife came to the adoration ground; that is to tell you that the prophesy came from God; if after such visit, he had the courage to reveal such prophesy against them, that tells you that it is much more than what people think; whether the prophesy is a good one or not, talking about the suffering, it has nothing to do with the prophesy.
“Before Buhari took over, the dollar was rising, there was already problem with our economy.‎ They had oil boom bit never saved; just wasted the opportunity. Even the suffering we are talking about was part of his prophesies; I recall that in 31st of January this year, he said clearly that Nigerians should brace up for hard times, he said a lot of hardship was under way; this suffering Nigerians are passing through are process of change. I’m seeing a great future for Nigerians; he made it clear that there are so many holes which needed to be filled.”
When asked whether Mbaka could then be described as a prophet of doom, he said:“No way; he is not a prophet of doom; you can’t say that this is a government of doom; this is a government that has unearthed a whole lot of things; the other government had oil boom, which they squandered, they handed over oil doom to this government; we are no longer talking of excess crude; this is what the present government is facing.”
Speaking on stories making the rounds that Jonathan rejected his request for an oil well, he stated that“these are lies from the pit of hell; these were used to water down the prophesy because people did not understand. It was even alleged that he received N5m from Buhari; you begin to wonder what is N5m to Mbaka. Is it the school fees he is paying for hundreds of people? This is all propaganda.
“There was also these claims of meeting with APC chieftains before the election; he never held any such meeting; he never met Buhari before the election, there has never been any communication between them; what he has already is bigger than oil well; he is a musician and the ministry is being sustained with that.”
On the issue of his prophecy that former Enugu Governor, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani would not win second term, he gave reasons for the non-fulfillment ‎of the prophesy thus:
“People who are saying this do not know what happens; a prophesy may come but people may not know what happens in between the period it was supposed to manifest; we have a man in the Bible, who God prophetically told that he would die; however, when he prayed, God extended his number of years.
READ ALSO: Fr. Mbaka has vision about Buhari, what he saw was terrifying
“So, in the case of Chimaroke, it is true that Mbaka said Chimaroke will not come back; but after that prophesy, the Church authority mandated him to celebrate a mass of forgiveness for Chimaroke. He celebrated that mass; remember it is God that answers prayers. So, the mass of forgiveness, which he celebrated under the mandate of the diocese is the main reason the prophesy did not come to pass.
“People are saying a lot; recently, they even said he didn’t go to Nimbo because of fear. But the truth is that he said the Holy Spirit asked him not to go; he said the trip will continue but that he will send delegates; there could have been so many reasons; he is not a coward; the ministry went there with three truck load of assorted materials; so are you saying he sent other people to be killed? He would have called off the trip if it had to do with herdsmen; it was purely the voice of the Holy Spirit; the other time he was to go for crusade, he called it off.
“So, the light of these, we shall be celebrating him this week. He is celebrating 21 years of miraculous life; 21 years of consistent miracles; 21 years of prophesies that have manifested- the change prophesy, the oil doom and all that; he is also celebrating 21 years of charity; the celebration is not for him; it is for all those who have benefited so much from his ministry.
“On several occasions, there have been plots to assassinate him but God has continued to protect him; he has survived harsh criticisms, assassins’ bullets, bombs, among other things; God keeps saving him‎.”

Politics / Militants Rebuff MEND, Give Buhari Three Weeks To Do THIS by Chibuike56(m): 11:04am On Jul 24, 2016
– Niger Delta militants have rejected the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) as their envoy group to hold talks with the federal government concerning crisis in the ares
– The groups also demanded President Muhammadu Buhari to name a high-powered government Dialogue Team within three weeks
Militants in the Niger Delta region have refused to recognize the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND) as their chief representative group to negotiate with the federal government.
Among the opposers of the MEND’s leadership are Ultimate Warriors and the Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders (NDRC) who insist the movement can’t speak on behalf of all the militant groups in the area as it had previously suppported the Nigerian government against the Niger Delta.

In a statement sent to Vanguard, the groups also gave President Muhammadu Buhari three weeks ultimatum to list a high-powered government Dialogue Team.
They once again stressed that the team should comprise members of the international community with a sole mandate to dialogue with militants and other stakeholders to stop pipeline bombings.
Meanwhile, the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) have accused some government security agencies of collaborating with the defunct MEND and other saboteurs to bomb oil pipelines in order to arrest innocent people to impress their commander-in-chief and sabotage the genuine battle.
Recall that the earlier the group explained their mission by their desire “to cripple the economy of the country and not to kill any human being on earth. “

– Vow to launch intensified bombardment of key oil and gas facilities
– Say Alfred Diete-Spiff lacks the mandate to negotiate on behalf of the protesting groups in the creeks of the Niger Delta
Different militant groups have risen in the Niger Delta region all agitating for various demands from the federal government
Efforts by the federal government to get militant groups to the negotiating table may have hit a brick wall as a coalition of militants has threatened to bleed the nation with renewed attacks on oil facilities.

The threat was issued by militant group, the Reformed Egbesu Boys, on Thursday, July 21, in a statement to the President Muhammadu Buhari and the government.
According to Vanguard, the group accused the federal government of buying time to embark on a military onslaught in the Niger Delta region and vowed to launch more attacks soon.
It said: “We promise that the worst of our economic campaign through the bombardment of key oil and gas facilities has not reached the peak yet. This means, the worst is yet to come.
“The next phase of our attacks and bleeding operations in conjunction with the Niger Delta Avengers, the Niger Delta Joint Liberation Force, Egbesu Red Water Lions, Ultimate Warriors among others would isolate Nigeria from OPEC as zero export is our target.
The militants said the Niger Delta Dialogue Contact Group, (NDDCG), led by former military governor of old Rivers state, HRM King Alfred Diete-Spiff, lacked the mandate to negotiate on behalf of the protesting groups in the creeks of the Niger Delta.
READ ALSO: OPC to FG: We can stop Niger Delta militants if we are invited
It said:“We wish to draw attention of the Federal Government, particularly the National Security Adviser, NSA and all relevant authorities that the self-styled Niger Delta Dialogue and Contact Committee, coordinated by Dr. Ajuni and chaired by Diette-Spiff, do not have the mandate to negotiate for the protesting groups in the creeks of the Niger Delta.
“On Diette-Spiff, we would have since denounced him but we allowed him to exhaust all his lies to the President and security agencies before we react. He has never discussed with any of the groups nor has he sent any emissaries to us, but rather he has been gallivanting and parading himself as the chairman of an alleged Niger Delta Contact and Dialogue Committee.
Meanwhile, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has said that oil workers are jittery over Niger Delta Avengers’ threat.
The association advised federal government to take seriously the threat by Avengers that oil workers should vacate oil fields and terminals.
Francis Olabode Johnson, its president stated this at the third Women in PENGASSAN National Conference in Abuja.

This comes after Governor Wike had accused Professor Mahmood Yakubu, the national chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of taking actions that are inimical to credible rerun elections in Rivers state by his alleged secret meeting with the Rivers state APC chairman, Davies Ikanya and Senator Magnus Abe on July 19.

Governor Wike further accused the Professor Yakubu of concluding plans to postpone the July 30 rerun elections in deference to the fear of defeat expressed by the leadership of Rivers state APC.
But in a statement by ‎Chris Finebone, the APC publicity secretary, the party said Wike’s blackmail, threats and empty bravado are all part of his curious style of politics.

Politics / Is Nigeria A Country Where Only The Worst Kind Of People Rule? by Chibuike56(m): 7:30am On Jul 21, 2016
Opinion: Nigeria; a country where bad people are admired. Editor’s note:Nigeria has been an independent country since 1960 but it seems like a country learning to govern itself.
In this opinion by Tabia Princewill, he compares the attitude and governance of Nigeria with some western countries and wonders why Nigeria cannot behave like them.
A lesson from UK
Watching the UK Conservative Party’s change of leadership which resulted in Theresa May succeeding David Cameron as the country’s Prime Minister, I was struck by the many parallels between good and bad behaviour in the UK and Nigeria.
The smooth way with which the Conservative Party resolved its leadership tussle should be something to be studied by fledgling democracies such as ours, where to contest for leadership is hardly ever about ideas and service to one’s country but rather about the promise of corruption and economic recklessness.
Theresa May’s main opponent, Andrea Leadsom dropped out of the race when she realised she was no longer the party favourite: her unfortunate comments about Mrs May’s childlessness aside, her willingness to put the party’s interests first is something almost unheard of in Nigeria (after all, she didn’t invade her party’s headquarters with thugs).

I’m left feeling wistful every time politicians in other climes exhibit behaviour which is so far from the norm in Nigeria. When will we see our own Obamas, Camerons and Theresa Mays? Men and women who were raised with principles, who are not motivated by money alone? People with an agenda beyond ethnicity and religious manipulation?
Neither candidate threatened secession or civil war nor did the loser claim that a cabal, or a government within the government is behind her woes and preventing her rise to power. In fact, it is quite amazing (by Nigerian political standards) that neither of these two women has ever been accused of corruption, forgery, embezzlement, or sordid sexual proclivities or any of the many heinous things Nigerian politicians take for granted.
News from Nigeria
Our nation’s grandees’ lack of propriety or principles is no longer news. The Nasarawa State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress recently announced the state government borrowed N28 billion from different banks, from 2011 to date, and therefore demands payment of workers’ salaries.
But a bigger question remains: what did the state do with N28 billion? It’s not enough to get angry at Cameron for calling Nigeria “fantastically corrupt”. Rather, we should be angry at those who’ve consistently done little for the common good and whose greed has left our states so poor.
We are the butt of international jokes about poverty and corruption. Rather than being angry at those who laugh at us, we should be angry at those who make it so easy for us to be laughed at.
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council has called on Nigerians to ignore Festus Keyamo, a lawyer and popular public commentator who says Dr. Uche Ogah should be sworn in as Governor of Abia State as the election of the incumbent governor has been invalidated.

I always wonder who exactly is behind the so-called youth groups in Nigeria who curiously only speak about political issues but never about the real every day matters which affect Nigerians. Even more strange is the fact that these youth groups seem to be the antithesis of everything youth in other parts of the world stands for: openness, oneness in the pursuit of common opportunities for development, justice for all rather than sectional, ethno-religious interests, etc.
Are the youth groups who attend UN summits, campaigning for reconciliation between peoples, from Mars? No, they are cut from the same cloth as the Theresa Mays, Camerons, etc, which I mentioned earlier. Their education and not simply their wealth, makes them part of a thinking elite which knows that service to politicians does not mean service to one’s community. We must not just yearn for a country where our contemporaries hold these beliefs as true but work towards it.
I’ll end by encouraging us to think about a shocking incident, which one person concerned has since partly denied, that is the alleged altercation between Senators Dino Melaye and Remi Tinubu. But before that, let’s go back to Theresa May and David Cameron, it’s an interesting parallel.
You see, following the #Brexit vote, then Prime Minister, David Cameron, promptly resigned and no one within his party or the society said he should receive a Nobel prize for doing what was right. When the public so blatantly disagrees with a leaders’ policy or direction, honourable men and women in civilised societies leave way for others.
This is not Nigerian thinking, ours is a more “do-or-die” approach where militancy avenges only the interests of the powerful, an attitude whereby sabotage and petty jealousy feature heavily.
UPF says no to secession in Nigeria
Notice how Mrs May hasn’t hinted that Cameron’s people in Number 10 sabotaged her in any way, as the civil service is apolitical, unlike ours; so transitions are smooth no matter what persons or parties are in power. What a democracy! Cameron showed little ego in stepping down. He was full of good humour, and quips, some about himself, saying: “I was the future once” (in reference to a wisecrack he made about Tony Blair when he, Cameron, was a young Member of Parliament). The confidence and certitude that there is a future outside of politics enables men like Cameron to walk away serenely, their honour and good name intact. In our society, one must ask about most politicians: who were they, what was their call to fame, or simply, their occupation, before public office?
Dino Melaye
Enter Dino Melaye. In defence of his “friend”, the Senate President, Mr Melaye’s alleged behaviour seems to have been the total opposite of what is allowed or encouraged in saner climes. I’m sure Mr Cameron also has friends in Parliament.
It is intriguing that none were alleged to have threatened to beat or rape a female colleague for daring to suggest that the institution they represent shouldn’t be dragged into any one individual’s court cases.
One can also easily surmise that if Cameron were accused of corruption, he would resign to clear his name. But what would Theresa May have responded to Dino Melaye? The exchange would never occur because Mr Melaye has no equivalent in the UK Parliament.
Even Trump, as careless with his words as he has been, hasn’t been accused of saying he would “rape” or “beat” Hillary Clinton. Cameron did the right thing for his country by refusing to drag on his premiership. On the opposite end, we in Nigeria routinely excuse and explain away bad behaviour or as we call it “mere allegations”.
Take Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, a former governor of Yobe State who, in defence of Bukola Saraki reportedly said: “I can assure you that 99 percent of senators are behind Saraki for the simple reason that we are all human beings, and we do make mistakes.
When you are a governor for eight years, there is no way you can account for every kobo. So, if anybody wants to investigate you thoroughly, he will find a fault here and there.”

Where does one begin, without being choked by bile and disgust for the system that enables such a thought process? In the words of Thomas Jefferson: “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that is justice cannot sleep forever”.
The Nigeria Judicial Council, NJC, has reportedly dismissed Justice Mohammed Yunusa for granting an injunction stopping the EFCC from probing Stella Oduah. It seems Thomas Jefferson was right. Let me clarify, it’s not about witch-hunting anyone. Rather, it’s about everyone with a case to answer having their day in court, as is done all over the world.
The EFCC has apparently been interrogating the former Minister’s daughter, in relation to an alleged N800 million transaction. One must wonder, again, if Cameron, Theresa May or any one of their associates’ children have access to such sums and what makes these things, if proven true, possible in Nigeria. Mrs Obanikoro who was also interrogated, is said to suffer from high blood pressure.

– PDP national chairman Ahmed Makarfi has spoken on President Muhammadu Buhari’s ongoing anti-corruption war
– The former two term Kaduna state governor said the anti-graft campaign is not targeted at any opposition party member
– Senator Makarfi urged everyone to support the president to clean up Nigeria
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national caretaker committee chairman Senator Ahmed Makarfi has come out to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption crusade.
The former legislator also called for institutional reforms to protect security votes from being misused. The ex governor of Kaduna state made this known in an interview he granted newsmen on Tuesday, July 19 at Kaduna.

Makarfi stated that it was vital“to set up a machinery for an institutional reform on how security votes are managed”.
“This affects not only the federal government, because if you come down to the states, you are going to find similar happenings. Even local government chairmen have security votes and you are going to find that their expenditure follows similar pattern.”
President Muhammadu Buhari
While making his view known on the anti-corruption war embarked by the federal government under President Buhari, he said the anti-graft crusade was not politically motivated or politically selective.
On the other hand, the former lawmaker warned against targeting the wrong people in order not to derail from the objectives of the anti-corruption campaign.
Politics / Hmmm!!!! ‘do Not Accuse My Ministers Of Corruption Without Evidence’ – Buhari by Chibuike56(m): 7:48am On Jul 20, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari has kicked against orchestrated attempts by some people in some quarters to soil the integrity of ministers and other senior government officials, who are being accused of corruption without any concrete evidence.
This was contained in a statement released on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina.
Buhari also reacted to reports, particularly by online media, that the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, is being investigated over crude oil swap deals and gas liftings during his tenure as GMD of the petroleum corporation.

President Buhari appealed for decent and civilized comments, particularly when it has to do with the integrity of those who are serving the country.
“Terrible and unfounded comments about other people’s integrity are not good. We are not going to spare anybody who soils his hands, but people should please wait till such individuals are indicted,” the President said.
President Buhari reiterated the administration’s commitment to probity, accountability and integrity, promising that transparency remains a watchword, which would never be trifled with.

Politics / Police Quiz Bishop For Allegedly Sponsoring Avengers by Chibuike56(m): 7:33am On Jul 20, 2016
Niger Delta Avengers
Ovie Okpare, Warri
Police detectives from the Delta State Command have quizzed a bishop of a new generation church in Warri over allegation of sponsoring the militant group, the Niger Delta Avengers.
Our correspondent gathered that the bishop (name withheld), hails from Ogbinbiri community of Egbema (Ijaw) Kingdom in the Warri North Council Area of the state and is the presiding bishop of the New Salvation Zion Church of Christ at Igbodu area of the city.
Security sources, who confided in our correspondent, said the church leader was invited for interrogation following two petitions alleging that he was funding the militant group.
The interrogation was conducted at the Warri Area Command of the Delta State Police Command.
Our correspondent learnt that the clergyman was interrogated from 8am to about 8pm last week Wednesday before he was allowed to go and ordered to report the following day for further questioning.
A closed relative of the suspected clergyman confirmed the development to our correspondent on condition of anonymity.
It was gathered that the petitions also alleged that the cleric was harbouring weapons both in his house and church.
The situation led to the search of the Ijaw clergyman’s residence at Bendel Estate in Effurun, Uvwie Council Area of the state, and his church building in Igbodu area of Warri.
It was further gathered that the IPO in charge of the case led heavily armed policemen, including a team of Explosives Ordinance Detectives, to comb the bishop’s house but nothing incriminating was found at both places.
When this correspondent contacted him on the issue on the phone, an aide to the bishop who picked the call simply said, “We are still on the matter. He will call you later,” and he dropped the call.
When however contacted, the spokesperson for the state police command, SP Celestina Kalu, claimed not to be aware of the development. She promised to investigate and get back to our correspondent with further clarification.
Romance / Let See How Fast You Are In Love Calculation.show Your Mathemati Now!!!! by Chibuike56(m): 7:14am On Jul 20, 2016
calculate my percentage attraction to, say, Kylie Minogue, they would proceed thus:
1.Write out on a piece of paper:
Matthew Fasham
Loves
Kylie Minogue
2.Count up the number of l, o, v, e, and s's in each name as follows:
1,1,0,3,1
3.Add up the adjacent numbers, pair by pair, to get:
2,1,3,4
4.Again:
3,4,7
5.Again:
7, 11
6.And finally, the percentage that I love Kylie Minogue, 18%.
This depressingly small percentage, if calculated in a school classroom, would be taken as conclusive proof of gayness.Additionally, as the percentage works both ways, I now know that my hitherto dogged pursuit of Kylie is doomed to a loveless failure.

Formular:

2y + 5x + z = 50

Where x= number of years

Y= Number of girls

Z= % wasted time

Solution

If x=2yrs

Y= 1

z= ?

Therefore:

2(1) + 5(2) + z = 50

2 + 10 + z = 50

12 + z = 50

Subtract 12 from both side grin

Z = 50 - 12 = 38

Z= 38% ans grin
