Sports / Re: Official: Siasia Leaves Odemwingie Out Of Argentina Match by chibzzy(m): 9:06am On May 20, 2011

I'm all for disciplining a player, but you don't try and prove a point by ostracising one of your best players even after he has apologised. Like siasia himself was not a rebel and a trouble maker in his time! All that and westerhoff still called him up and played him, so why is he being a hypocrite?
I know what osaze Did was out of order, but hey these things happen in modern day football,  siasia should just be matured and let the matter die.

This makes no sense at all. Do you have a copy of his apology letter? Which player in modern day football has committed such offence and gone ahead to abuse the coach on a social network that is monitored every second all over the world? Please give us a break.
Osaze might be good but that does not mean that he is Mr Nigeria. Until he shows remorse, I don't think there should be a place for him in the Eagles squad. For going to the length he went, his apology should not only be through a letter but also on the social network site as well as popular TV channels.

Any new development folks?
Seeing that they've started calling those from PH for medicals, could it be that the long wait is for the trouble in that region to subside so that we can go for the training together?

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Why Gate Crash? by chibzzy(m): 7:16pm On Aug 07, 2007
Great contributions!
I'm happy with the way topic has been maturely delibrated on.
@Alert mentioned logistic problems and I will like to contribute from that point.

Whenever information on venues and time for tests/interviews are being solicited, it does not actually mean an intent to gate crash.

For instance, when we had Intercontinental Bank test @ Enugu on the 17th of March, some people could not receive their letters of invitation due to logistic problems (eg remote addresses that were difficult to locate). Some of these people came to the venue probably to 'gate crash' but were surprised when they were called and handed their letters at exam venue!
I know someone who missed the opportunity to write the test because she didn't receive a letter of invitation. As for for feelings after the test, your guess is as good as mine!

A second instance is when I met one of the guys who was successful during the oral interview as I was going for my medicals. He didn't even know that they've started calling for medicals then. So he quickly made an enquiry @ at the regional office immediately with his phone. Guess what?

He passed the oral interview but couldn't know about the medical test b/c his phone was not reachable when he was called!

I completely agree with @Shibrette, there is really nothing to lose by gate crashing except transport fare and some amount of energy. That you were not called could be a mistake of some sort or one logistic problem or the other.

So, lets just be positive about every opportunity that comes our way and give in our best to actualize our dreams. With GOD on our side, we shall surely testify grin

Thank you guys for the encouraging information you have shared. I still remain very positive they'll call us soon, possibly within this month. As for the delay, Every bank has it's employment policy and must follow it. I beleive that we will all be happier after the long wait. I think it is even better that all would-be bottle necks are sorted out now than latter  smiley

As for those PH guys, don't despair, who knows, you might go for both medicals and enter training within this month!
So cheer up  wink
Happy bank is still the best grin
