Please can you change your ECA after creating a profile? Case in point: you had an ECA from IQAS (BSC only) which was used to create the profile but now you have a new ECA from WES that says 2 or more degrees. Can you update your profile by removing the first ECA to sub for the new one? |

odimbannamdi: They’re an evaluating body just like WES, ICES and IQAS but ICAS is the slowest in the world |

Abuhuhu:I think you should call IQAS. If nobody has responded here it probably means nobody has had this experience. Call them, in my experience, their customer service is very responsive. |

galibat: In your life, don’t ever consider using ICAS to evaluate, trust me, you will have large regrets! Unless of course you have free 1 year to wait. 4 Likes |

Uchboggy: The whole English that quote means is just that your parent (mom or dad) mom in your case, must still be married to your step parent (step mum or step dad) step dad in your case, as at the time of your application, for you to claim points for a step sibling, and this step sibling must obviously be a child of whoever your own parent is married to. Wording English negatively is always so confusing. Lol 3 Likes |

ify2016:It will be assessed but mentioned on the ECA that the DOB on your certificate is different from your passport. Either that or they’ll mention the one from the school. |

COPR2020:Where will the Evaluating body get the 1992 date from? Does your school send date of birth on their records with transcripts? I thought it’s date of birth on passport that will be mentioned on the ECA o. I am asking cos I don’t know since I have a uniform DOB across board lol. If that’s the case then OYO is your case o, Cos someone had that issue earlier and was asked for ADR. |

ify2016:So you’re actually born in 1996, but said 1992 to get into university? Were you 12 when you were entering school that you had to add a whole 4 years? Lol. Anyway, I don’t think your DOB is mentioned on your Diploma or certificates awarded by your school right? You’re not using Waec either. You lied to your university, just don’t lie to IRCC or the evaluating body. 3 Likes |

cutiep: I know a lot of people are against agents but a good travel agent is your friend in this case Just for the purpose of a ticket. An agent can make payments for tickets from US to Canada, so they can help with that. Also the actual honest agents are well travelled, so they can advise you on immigration protocols and if it will go well for you. Also, you can cargo your properties from the US to Canada instead of from NG. Lastly, don’t try going to the US without a return/departure ticket, if they bounce you, they will still make you pay for a return ticket and to Nigeria for that matter. 4 Likes 1 Share |

REBEKITAB123: You should use whatever status you really are. You’re either married, legally separated or divorced. Like you said before, get a proper separation or divorce document, not sure how that’s done in Nigeria. Then apply in court for full custody of your kids. Separation would obviously be faster than divorce. Good luck. 2 Likes |

REBEKITAB123:There is no rule that requires you to change your name after a divorce. Some people continue with their new (married) names after divorce. It’s your name now as long as you legitimately changed it, not just your marriage name or husbands name. 4 Likes |

Hello house. Question please: “I opened my mutual funds account in June specifically for this purpose. I put in some money in July and the balance in October. Now I got ITA with the last draw. Do I need to state in an LOE that this account was opened specifically for this? Will the inflow be suspicious? What can I do to give the VO level of comfort.” |

salford: Lol. Thank you. It’s not exactly cheap here either. Gets expensive only when your dog is not healthy. We have monthly vets visits and basic feeding and boarding. Of course I don’t plan to travel a lot and I also plan to go without my dog first and only send for him if and when things are stabilised. Thanks for the articles though. Helpful. 3 Likes |

ednut1:@kiari Already did that. And it was not my question. Understanding the question is not that hard. @ednut1 I am very sure I did not ask what my CRS will be. I just wanted to be sure my partner’s IELTS will not be a problem. Thank you for non-helpful input. Someone already gave me a good answer. 11 Likes |

Hello House, My husband and I have got our IELTS results Me the PA (f,25) - LRWS - 9, 9, 7.5, 8 Him (M, 31) - LRWS - 5.5, 9, 7, 7.5 I just want to confirm if we are okay to go into the pool like this. It’s too late to request a remark. Simulated the scores already and it will add just 2 points if he has 7.5 in Listening. But I just need to be sure it won’t make our profile invalid or unqualified.
