Thank you

Use the name on your passport. And you can later send your change of name evidence.

Good evening guys, please lawyers in the house who have evaluated their credentials with wes, is it compulsory you must also process and send your law school transcript?
For those that did not process law school transcript, please did that exclusion affect your application in your EE profile by reducing your points??
Please someone kindly help out, I am at cross roads on whether to add law school details on my wes profile and send the documents or just leave it so far as it does not have consequences.

Good morning everyone, please can someone help me, I have a question, I'm trying to create a Wes profile and I want to know if I should use my maiden name as it appears on my certificates or my name now as it appears on my passport to avoid discrepancies.

Please i have been reading about people booking appointment at the embassy to notorise document for baby's passport, the last time i had my baby in houston my spouse used a regular notary public in abuja and did not go to the embassy and it was honored and my baby was issued passport. Please Does this still work?
No, it doesn't work anymore. You must now notarize at the embassy If your spouse is not present in the US, so book an appointment early so you ywont get a date close to when you'd be traveling

Hi, please how long after your delivery did you get your bill from Pediatrix? I have called over 4 times since the 20th when i had my baby and they don't have my billing information yet. They said it can take up to 30 days. I asked why it would take 30 days when they offer a prompt payment discount thats only valid for 30 days after delivery and they said they'd still honour the discount. I need to settle my bills before i leave in 2 weeks.

Also which paediatrician did you use please? My first visit alone was 120 usd.
The bill from pediatrix group takes at least 3weeks but whenever your are sent the bill, call them and ask for the discounted rate which was quoted on the slip given in the hospital

It usually takes like 3weeks minimum for pediatrix to give you a bill, but the healthy baby package will be applied when your bill is sent and you request for it. Even if you leave the US, and the bill hasn't come, just keep following it up and you can pay over the phone

I sent it with my email but attached my husbands passport page, mine and LO's passport
They responded and acknowledged receipt and after 24 hours sent me the approval email with attached details

Hello naira landers,
Finally my missionary journey came to an end three weeks ago. I had posted my POE Waka earlier on. I used Hnwmc and Dr xydas and the bills breakdown are
Dr 2000$
Hospital 2200$ (the 200$ fee was for an observation before LO came)
Collected the non indebtedness letter from financial counselor and a zero balance but no itemized statement, I'm hoping to get that too.
Pediatricians 728$ after an initial bill of almost 1500. I called them and stated I was given a quote for healthy baby package which should be applied and honored, eventually they did and I paid over the phone and my statement and zero balance came in the mail.
Follow up pediatrician visit 69$ each visit
Pathology 179$
Birth certificate 75$ paid for expedited services

Used Qatar airways and added baby ticket for 145$
Got a same day expedited passport 165$ and applied for visa on arrival which was approved after 24hours and sent to my email, Paid 190$ in lagos
It all ended in praise, and the boot has been hung finally

Morning papas and mamas, pls can one apply for a U.S passport without SSN? Thanks
I think there's a new requirement that SSN must be filled in now before a passport application. I don't know if it's applicable everywhere but it's requested for in the passport agency at Houston

Good day mama's & papa's in d house,
My missionary journey is almost coming to an end but I av been facing little challenges.
Pls Houston Tx mama's who av recently done dere LO passport, How did u go about it..?

Though I tried applying for appointment but was decline due to my travel date to 9ja is above 2wks, I don't know if is a new system now for I want to get my LO passport ready on time so I can pay flight ticket & send mail for visa on arriver on time.

Pls I will be grateful for d info on how to get d passport done without waiting for my departure to b 2wks...thanks

You can't get an appointment at the passport agency if your travel date doesn't fall within two weeks of the day you make the appointment, two weeks to your travel make an appointment, you can get next day or the day after appointment and can also pick up your LO' 's passport same day after submission of documents and they now strictly require ds3053 notarized at the embassies if one parent is not around for those that put father's names in the birth certificate.

Happy sunday to you all

Please how do I apply for baby passport without notorised letter from my husband.

Is it possible to not write his name on the birth certificate or ssn?

How do single mothers apply for passport.

I don't see my husband going to abuja or lagos for this document so a second option will be appreciated.
It's your choice but in my opinion if theres any way possible, your husband should try and go to the embassy to notarize the document and send to you instead if leaving his name out entirely. I'm in the same situation but my husband had to leave a very important job to travel to Abuja and notarize the document and has sent it.

As per accommodation..where was most affordable for you to stay/ and please how did you go about it...it's urgent..am due to travel March and would prefer an apartment and have tried airbnb but their prices are unfriendly..then hotels/accomodatiom the hospital recommended too are not flowing well with me.. so decided to bring it here and get first hand info from my senior mums who have gone before me......

If you don't want an apartment or renting on air bnb, you can check studio 6 on bammel Westfield road, it's like 10-15 minutes walking distance to the hospital and doctors office or 5 minutes with uber

Please with this recent US Embassy notarial service requirement for LO's passport, has anyone gotten a passport in Houston since January 1 using a form ds3053 notarized by an ordinary notary and not at the embassy?

You can print it from Qatar expectant mothers page when you are done filling it, you can scan clear copies and email to them or if you are in lagos you can take hard copies to their office and submit.
Ayob3:
Hello mamas, please I have a question for those who used Qatar Airways

where on their website can I print the fit to fly form and Medif please?

Upon completion, do I need to go to their office to submit this form before my trip?

not up to 36weeks yet.

I have been a silent reader on this forum and stumbled upon it when I started researching on hospitals and procedure for giving birth in America and I learnt a lot!
So I traveled with Qatar airways at 34 weeks and 4 days, I filled the medif form and sent to their office, which was later approved. I had an existing visa which I had previously used for the reason for issuing it and for vacation so I wrote to the embassy several times and got an email responding to my intent to use the Visa for birthing. I gathered my documents, cash and burden of proof for the trip.
My point of entry was ALMIGHTY HOUSTON. Considering stories and tales of Houston and Chicago. Poe I prayed, prepared and packaged all my documents and cash well and was wheeled to cbp
Cbp: hello
I greeted
Cbp : where are you coming from why are you here in the US today?
I came to rest and have my baby
Cbp: so you are pregnant?
Yes sir
Cbp: how much is it gonna cost you
Between 6500 and 7000 dollars
Any prepayments?
I said no, the doctor doesn't accept payments till the patient comes and he asks for correspondence.
Cbp: how much do you have on you?
I told him I had 8000 cash and I also have my bank cards for access to more funds
What do you do for a living and what does your husband do? I told him
Is this your first child?
I said no I have 3 and he was like where did you have them
I responded I had them in UK
So he went ahead to ask why not UK this time
I want to access my child the opportunities America may offer as a dual citizen and he was Ok remember to keep all your reciepts ND pay all your bills and always carry your receipts when traveling to and from the US
He stamped me In for 6 months and asked if I had food. And I said Yes, so he called Another officer to take me to Agriculture and the amebo officer started interrogation number 2 and asked the first one is she going to Secondary?? The cbp said no, she heading to agric she has food. She now started asking the officer to stamped me in Do you know she is here to give birth? Did you check her well? Etc I just prayed and told devil God pass you! I got to agric and nothing was seized. Was wheeled out to the exit. To to all those I privately sent messages and they responded, thank you
Waiting for my LO and praying for a healthy mother and baby and Labour like the Hebrew women
Will come back for my hospital price breakdown after LO has come

Ok guys in the spirit of giving back, here is my script from visa approval to POE as this thread has been of great help.

I didn't spend into 10 minutes in both places and my food wasn't check. I thank for favourably and thanks to this forum too. Currently relaxing in Houston while I await my first appointment with Dr F tomorrow.

Please was it just the initial letter sent by dr F. With the attachments that you travelled with or did the clinic send you another letter stating you are their patient and your exact appointment date?
Were you able to book your appointment before you got to houston?
