Travel / Re: Usa Visit Visa by Chrizizon: 7:33pm On May 14, 2015
Hello my real people in here

Anotha Advice needed plz:

Planning to go to d USA this time. I have travel history; had traveled to india 3 times for business, once to UK(visit), Egypt(study), Kenya(tour) and Ethiopia(transit but stamped in and out). Have 2 unused visas n 2 refusal stamps

Not married. About 780k naira balance in savings acc at the moment.
I own a registered business. Don't know any one in the USA. Now I plan to visit the US for Business tourism/attending an expo; basically I want to go there to interact and make contacts with some companies I had contacted b4 via online, my intention is to make future export business deals with those companies of their products.

My question now is can I just book a hotel reservation in the same city where those companies are (same city where the expo is taking place) use it as my point of contact in USA and tell the VO my intentions even though no official invitation from the companies and do u think my reason for going hold any water since no IV's from those companies. Also d expo is happening in d same city where all d companies are and what I deal in is related with what the companies offer..n d expo

Any piece of Advice on this..Thanks in anticipation

I still feel you have entered there before in my opinion, since you entered the city and got stamped in.

Thats my thinking too..although u need a visa to get in there, my passport was stamped in and out by their immigration, the airline offers accommodation for passengers who would stop over for more than 24 hrs

Why are you asking me the question that you have a better answer to? I have not seen the terms and conditions of your insurance policy, nor do i know its validity. So, why did you ask me?
Well, i am corresponding with you with the understanding that you are a gentle someone, but if you are going to resort to cursing or swearing at people, i would differ.
Try to understand me and sorry about d language ok. .just that those guys can be annoying sometimes with their denial thingy.

Thanks a lot for the advice @Vicjustice..in the case of reapplying. .can I use d same travel health insurance doc which was returned back to me? And do u think I stand a better chance with an explanation to those crack heads, won't they think am getting desperate now? Just my tots

Vicjustice:

So, in your opinion, you are judging that the visa officer was wrong to have refused your application for reason of the "lack of proof of sufficient fund..." because you dropped your bank statement and receipt...?
What type of visa are we talking about?

Tourist visa..wanted to go there to establish a business contact for future biz. ..and I explained that to them..had visited EU (Uk) b4 and also countries in Africa n Asia without any immigration issues..my travel date was 2 months from application date..enough time to prepare for the trip..I submitted application on the 18/03/2015 denial stamp reads 20/03/2015 even though they asked me to return for collection after 15 working days...I feel d decision is somewhat hasty and not justifiable enough..d VO didnt pay much attention to all proof of my finances and also the fact I have never defaulted in previous travels

Vicjustice:
Sure, you can appeal the decision yourself, you don't necessarily need a lawyer for that.
But how can anyone tell you how to appeal it when the reason for the refusal remains your secret?
They mentioned lack of proof of sufficient fund for the duration of the trip...I dropped my bank statement n receipts/invoices for past transactions of my biz

My ITALY visa application was refused ..going to appeal it, as i was told i can in the doc presented..They said appeal should be with the assistance of a lawyer, what lawyer? local or foreign lawyer?

Also i want to know if it is something i can do myself, if it is, how can i send the appeal to T.A.R(Administrative Regional Court) of Latium, and with what format should i use to write the appeal.. the suckers didn't put no address or email to which i can send appeal to.. Respect shegsky..I was thinking d same thing about dat SOA., my scheduled date of travel is in 2 months time, I hope they over look some things there in d application. .I couldn't apply for France cos of problems with getting appointment date at vfs..I put in for italy instead as my friends told me its the same schengen that I could get to France easily from Italy with d Train

shegsky:

From all indications, Your SOA might be an hinderance these time around (200k) how are you gonna source for the ticket fee not to even talk of other miscellaneous fee ?. Although, you've got a sounding travel history.

What do people go to do in India? That country is a highly racist country, where as a black man you are exploited and conned. If you love your life and value it. Don't go to that country. There's nothing in that country, they can hardly cater for their 1.2billion population, let alone you a foreigner.

Well there are lots of reason's Nigerians go to India..people go there to study which is cheap compared to UK and other western countries ..for medical reasons which is also affordable..for business as there are a lot of manufacturers of many products there which are very cheap as well ..another thing India is a cheap country to live in..accommodation ,food ,internet, clothing and every other basic needs u can think of are very cheap there..there are lots of Nigerians living legal and illegal in delhi,Mumbai,Pune,Bangalore, chennai and almost all cities in India..

most of the time we bring trouble to ourselves there by being too loud, get drunk any how and misbehave cos drinks are very cheap there, play loud music, imagine the other day in delhi two different cult groups from Nigeria fought themselves brutally and their actions were caught on cctv camera. .infact the camera caught Nigerians assaulting another nigerian and then leaving him with serious injuries and that prompted the arrest and deportation of about 50 Nigerians..yeah many of em are racist agreed and so are many Brits Americans Russians Arabs other Asians..u can help me name the rest..In India as long as u r peaceful, not loud and law abiding u would never get into any trouble with anyone even if u stay upto 10 years there legal or illegal.

For their attitude towards us recently for visa issues..who to blame..our economy is in a shambles, we don't understand our government. .we can't organise our country.. hopelessness on d rise among our youths. .a lot of people are fed up with the life here..people just want to go to anywhere they can get basic needs easily..hence embassies are crowded every other day for visas by Nigerians..what do u expect from this and who is to blame?

It was a funny drama yesterday at d indian embassy in Abuja. I had applied for a business visa to india since july 2014..though around september I withdrew my intl passport back as I had to travel to d uk where I spent 3 months. .after uk trip I went back again to submit my passport for the indian business visa which I hd paid about 50k for earlier..for about a week plus since I submitted my passport back to the indian embassy, it has been one story after another..no visa clearance yet from India or network has been down since morning. .that had been their usual story and come tomorrow everyday. To cut d story short..yesterday when I and some other group of people who they had been frustrating did not hear our names among d applicants whose visas are ready ...we decided to barge Into d embassy, the inner part where d consular officers often chill and cos a lot of shouting and banging on the doors inside over powering d mobile police men there and private security and scared d shit outta those shrewd indians... caught all their attentions there including their top man, at the end of the day our visas were printed there and then and everyone who present there was given their visas cos we had told them we were not leaving the building without our passports and visas or passport and visa fee that was paid.. I left Indian embassy yesterday around after 9pm in d night when my visa was given to me..they tot they could fool us all d time..they don't know they can only fool us sometimes..they were withholding ppls visas which they paid for for nothing after they had checked documents submitted to support visa applications and giving a nod of approval to people asking them to go pay visa fee..they tot we would get frustrated and eventually give up our visa applications and retrieve just our passports back as some ppl had already done because they were fed up with come today come 2moro. .using our own security officers to scare anyone who tries to make any noise about the issue but it was a different episode for them yesterday..I hope we improve our great nation one day soon to avoid this desperation for visas..they took advantage on us to start cheating us becos of this shitty situation our failed leaders kept us..imagine india sha!

I just don't know what to say but is it that whatever they put down we have to follow however inconvenient it might be to us, this is really bad my broda
but how can i pay that amount for that small car..hmm

sheffyUTD:

My brother, that is the effect of 35% tariff. Perhaps the last time you clear vehicle was when we pay 20% for car.

Help us plead with our ogas @ the top. Imagine paying 800 for this type of vehicle when the proposed 70% come.

Autos / Re: CUSTOMS AGENT IN NIGERIA @ ANY PORTS by Chrizizon: 5:07pm On Oct 23, 2014
Wow that's really high..

Either you want to use an agent or not depends on you.

Yes, you or your sister can, it's a free profession. It's boldly written on the NCS website. However, it's not as rosy as they paint it, the 'norms' in the Nigeria clearing system need a good familiarity due to various 'manouvers' that can make you pay out of your nose. As an agent, I paid heavily for my ignorance on my first job way back then and so do many 'young' agents do sometimes get completely sway. If you try it once, you will decide if you do need an agent or not.

Kindly ship your vehicle via Grimaldi and 400 will clear it.

Thanks[/quote]

Also if u are running a company, what sort of company do u run, how do you operate , who are ur clients (individual, corporate or government bodies,) and what evidence is available for Transactions you have ran...those are few questions u may need to address to em as a self-employed individual

RILEY1987: I am in the process of renewing my UK visitor visa, however am struggling with some questions. I am self employed, director in a family run business.

What is your total monthly income from all sources of employment or occupation, after tax?
How much do you spend each month on living costs?

I have been advised to answer N/A by people as am self employed and dont have fixed salary and also no payslip.

I would like to be advised accordingly. Thank You

U Need to enter a figure there for total monthly income from all sources after tax. U can explain to em better about ur income where u have a space for additional infor. In my case i told em that d amount mentioned was only an average monthly income after tax as my monthly income varies from month to month
