On the 9th of this month went I to the German embassy for document certification. They certified everything except my transcript!

Please, FUTO students using student copy transcript, look for a way to stamp your transcripts with a stamp that has the university name on it. Just the letter head is not enough. Better still, get your original transcript yourself if you can and use it.

Mine only had the "Student Copy" stamp and the letterhead. And they rejected it.

It wasn't possible for me to go back to Owerri and come back to Lagos again... Even though the embassy lady wanted to postpone my appointment for me to my next desired date.

Now, I will have to ask my school to mail uniassist my transcript themselves.

Please, if you were once a FUTO student and have done this before, is it possible I can include my other documents so my school forwards both the sealed transcript and my other embassy certified documents to uniassist?

Or must the school send my transcript themselves while I send my other documents independently?

I want to save costs please...

Thank you.

Do you really think you can download such large file under two hours? I suggest you get MTN Hynet it's 5k for a week but it's unlimited.

With what am seeing here, I think it is too expensive for me! I'm an individual, not a company.

Go to the school's website. The application form must contain the name of the school you're applying to else the embassy won't do the certification

The ones I got don't have the name of the university on it. Siegen uni and Paderborn. But there is a field where I am supposed to fill in that.

Please, see screenshot below. That's the first page. Do you think they won't accept it?

AD
AL

B A
AM
Visum

The above acronyms, what do they stand for?

Sorry bro, I understand your plight. I had the same issues when I started reading too.

This is what they mean;

AD = Appointment Date. It's like the embassy inviting you for interview on so so so date.

AL= Admission Letter. This is from the Universities.

BA = Blocked Account. The money you're supposed to lock up to take care of your needs while studying in Germany.

AM = Appointment Mail. Not sure about this but what this means is that after your interview, the embassy sends AM for successful interviews.

VISUM = German word for VISA.

But imagine if Babcock came out with a press statement saying they will be taking court actions against people who leaked the video and support the woman in question to het justice against those who are using it to shame the lady.

Imagine they say although they hold morals in high regard, they also understand that she did it on holidays and they will make sure they set an example of those who are hiding to cause trouble amd shame the woman for something that is not a crime.

Not every time try to remove yourself; sometimes shake and breakbtables. Show support and strength and stand for justice.

Sometimes be remembered for staying on the side of justice instead of triggering your fight instead of flight emotion

but if they don't, it is still okay. They have a right to protect their name, identity and brand

Yeah it's quite difficult grin

If only the Germans will accept burning of passport as denouncing citizenship.

The German rule is that you must be an alien without being a citizen to be eligible get their own citizenship.

Lol . I just checked and saw the renunciation process. Not a joke at all! Even getting Nigerian citizenship for foreigners is very hectic.

Nigeria, Morocco, etc falls in that category. As a Nigerian citizen by birth, it’s only the president that have the sole right to approve your renunciation request not the Embassies or Consulates. Isn’t that difficult?

Wow.!

Germany allows dual citizenship on certain circumstances. One of such is if it’s difficult to renounce your old citizenship. I hope you’re aware that it’s very difficult to renounce Nigerian citizenship? Many Nigerians here have both Deutsche and Nigerian citizenship.

I wish you can throw more light on this.

Germany, economic powerhouse of Europe. Well both countries have their pros and cons. for example, Germany doesn't allow dual citizenship whereby Canada allows that and also you can easily get your PR in Canada compared to Germany.

But I still pick Germany.

Hadampson and Germany is just like Mr Bean and his Teddy bear. Unconditional love grin grin grin

Modified: Germany allows dual citizenship on certain circumstances. One of such is if it’s difficult to renounce your old citizenship, eg Nigeria

Please, is it difficult to denounce Nigerian citizenship?

This is a brief discussion about my favorite applications to give an idea of my thoughts on duolingo.

Language learning application : DW (Deutsche Welle)

This is by far the best learning application for German language. The well structured German language online course is managed by DW. The application contains many useful resources to learn German and also, placement test to know your German level.

#
Language learning application : BUSUU

This is one of my favorite language learning applications. It is better than duolingo when it comes to listening skills, when it comes to writing, and when it comes to reading. It also provides more opportunities for engagement with others. The vocabularly is presented in a way that context learning is much easier.

So, in this way, i will say busuu, DW and duolingo can sometimes be a nice compliment.

Another good application is DEUTSCHTRAINER A1-APP

The app combines listening, reading and writing and helps you practice basic vocabulary. It is available for free for iOS and Android.

Here are some websites where you can learn German

DW

Nancy thuleen

Germanpod101

BBC german

Collection of useful learning materials in one place

Learn German easily

It is very important to practice speaking if you learn on your own. Even if you don't have enough time, have a short practice periods throughout the week. As my mentor always say wiederholung. ist. der. Schlüsselfaktor. im. Lernprozess. which means repetition is the key factor in learning process.

Prost.

Bro... Have you tried MosaLingua? Paid version? This is the best for me! It's the first app I've truly paid for from playstore in my entire life.

After buying it, you still buy some features and learning packages. Mehn... The app is a blessing!

I am quite confused. What exactly do you want?

Do just want Uniassist to have your documents or you need a school to apply to? I think you should want the latter.

Coz, what if you eventually see a school you are interested in for Summer or Winter and they dont use Uniassist for their application? That means you would have wasted the money you paid for Courier service to Uniassist.

Also, Uniassist will not evaluate your documents, even if you are ready to pay the 75euros, unless you have a school you want your documents evaluated for.

Put the horse before the cart, bro. Channel your energy towards getting a course/school first. You still have time to do so now.

Goodluck bro

Herzlichen Dank!

Why are you in a hurry and why wasting your money(€75) on a course you don't need. If you have a summer course in particular in mind now, that will be understandable. Just because you want your documents to be with uniassist when you don't need it yet. Why not wait till the winter that you need it. It's not this hard bro, just cool down.

OK. Thanks. I mailed you. Seen it?

I no wan hear say after the admission, my Enrollment date dey approach Embassy never call me for interview not to talk of AM like people have been complaining here!
