spencekat:
The other time, a girl was reported to do such
to a fellow girl at Umuahia. What is this arrant nonsense?

According to investigations, the two students of FGGC, Umuahia extended the quarrel they had at the Dining over the little portion of food they were served to the SS1 C class as they were getting ready for the first lesson on Thursday morning 24th October 2024.

In the process a fight broke out between the classmates Amarachi Chibueze was strangling the neck of Adaeze Chinweoke as a result the victim's tongue dropped in the process, the biter Amarachi bit her classmate's tongue and swallowed her blood then dropped the chopped-off tongue on the ground.

I also gathered that the victim was taken to one Chukwuebuka private hospital, which the Principal of the college went into partnership with instead of Federal Medical Centre Umuahia which is a stone's throw from the College.

The said Chukwuebuka private was unable to handle the matter and thereafter referred them for FMC Umuahia where they were told that it was late to suture the chopped-off tongue as the surgeon on the ground told them that the chopped-off part was lifeless.

This has exposed the poor feeding patterns and other life-threatening challenges the students of the college face in the college.

This is so appalling.

In US, it’s 4 yrs and it’s enough for them. They even have mid term election. We don’t do that in Nigeria. In US they don’t complain, the 4 yrs is enough for them. The president there don’t control the legislative arm nor the judiciary unlike what we have in Nigeria but u won’t hear them say 4 yrs is not enough. It’s only in Nigeria you’ll hear that bcs after capturing the Judiciary and the legislative arm they’ll start feeling like d almighty and will not like to leave office. Imagine a senator collecting 14million naira a month and civil servants mere 70k? This evil happening in this country is not normal I mean it. 14 million a month is not enough for u, y don’t u resign? U knew the amount senators are paid and u still contested later you’ll start wailing just like knowing that you’re electing for 4 yrs bt when overcome with the feeling of spoils of office you’ll start wailing dt 4 yrs is not enough. That’s rubbish naaa!!!! PLS DON’T CONTEST AT ALL IF U KNOW 4 YEARS IS NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU!!!!!!!
DrTee1:

On both counts, I understand and I agree with Mr Kalu.

Kalu might be a crook of some sort, yes. He might have been jailed in the past, yes BUT he is right on this one.

No politician of his status can survive on merely 14 million naira every month. That's about £7000 or so? Those who beg him for cash and the amount he has to spend to keep himself politically relevant each month is certainly more than that.

Secondly, he is right about the 6 year single term. This current style is not working. 4 years isn't enough to make any significant difference in office. The desperation for a second term as well as to install a successor often robs our politicians and political institutions of the necessary input to make our society move at the pace we need it to go.

Kalu is entirely right on the foregoing, in my opinion.

Lebanon bombed Israel first and Israel gave them what they’re asking for. Are u aware of that? Egypt and turkey didnt bomb isreal so isreal won’t bomb them. Or u want isreal to fold their hands as they keep on receiving bombs?
lapazi:
Israel wants a wider conflict that will destabilize the entire region. This will eventually trickle down into other conflicts. It’s just a matter of time they hit Iran directly like they’re already doing in Lebanon.

Even the Christian dominated south Lebanon was hit, this region has almost zero hezbolla.

Ultimately they’d get the ww3 they seem to want so bad. Why I say this is that when they hit the likes of, Egypt, Turkey- they won’t take it lying down.

Peter Obi has not returned all the interest on the shares for the profit made when he deliberately domiciled Anambra State funds in Fidelity Bank that he was the former board chairman.

1Hover1:
The funny thing is that most people commenting here have not and did not watch the interview before commenting.

If they did, they would see that VAT is not increasing for EVERYTHING, in fact, essential items bordering on food, health, housing, education and transport will have VAT removed totally (which is the area that affects the greater number of Nigerians). An example he gave was that, how many Nigerians do buy a new car...these are the kind of items that will see VAT rise to 10%.

Companies with earnings bellow 50 million will be able to claim back VAT expenses.

Sure it's still a proposal which came about after consultations with interest groups. People can still make thir contributions before it is passed.
