If your Europe bound flight was delayed with a delay of 3 hours or more or if your flight was cancelled without prior notice then you can claim compensation of up to 600€ from your travel airline for the inconvenience caused to you according to the EC Regulation 261/2004. It was a great initiative by Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and I would also like to add that any air passenger travelling from Nigeria to any European country with European regulated airline OR any passengers who are travelling from Europe to Nigeria with any airline is eligible to claim compensation from airlines if their flight gets delayed by more than 3 hours.

According to EC Regulation 261, if your flight delays by more than 3 hours; cancelled before prior notification of 14 days or if you were denied boarding due to overbooking then you are eligible to claim compensation up to 600€.
