Education / University ‘sex-for-grades’ Prohibition Bill Scales 2nd Reading In The Senate by Classichumble: 12:52pm On May 30, 2016
A bill prohibiting sexual harassment of students by
educators in tertiary educational institutions has scaled
second reading at the senate.

The bill, which was debated on Tuesday, received the
endorsement of many lawmakers.
Leading the debate on the bill, Ovie Omo-Agege, a
senator from Delta central, argued that sexual
harassment was rife in many higher institutions of
learning in Nigeria, hence the need for a law outlawing
the vice.

He, therefore, urged the senate to support the bill.
“Sexual harassment is a vice in our higher institutions.
We are using this bill to send a message that enough is
enough,” he said.
Also speaking,Theodore Orji, a senator from Abia state,
expressed his support for the bill.
“I believe this bill will do enough in curtailing the vice in
our higher institutions,” he said.

However, Dino Melaye, a senator from Kogi west, while
making his contribution, said that sexual harassment
was a two-way traffic.
He argued that some students willfully seduce their
lecturers with the aim of getting academic favours.
“I support wholeheartedly that this bill be enacted to
stand as deterrent to lecturers who take advantage of
female students,” he said.
“However, the seductive and provocative dresses of our
students who enter offices of lecturers who have no
anointing to resist sexual temptation should be
discouraged.”

Making her contribution, Stella Oduah, a senator from
Anambra north, called for a quick passage of the bill.
“When you harass these girls you have ruined their
lives,” she lamented.
“We should encourage an accelerated passage of this
bill.”
In his contribution, Yahaya Aliyu, a senator from Kebbi
north, called for a blanket law against sexual
harassment, instead of one that is targeted at a section
of society.
“If we are to make laws against sexual harassment we
should do it across the board. Targeting one section of
society is discriminatory,” he said.
After listening to the arguments, Senate President
Bukola Saraki put the bill to a voice vote to which
lawmakers gave their nods.

Afterwards, the senate president referred the bill to the
committee on judiciary for more legislative treatment,
and directed it to submit its report within four weeks.
The bill has to be read a third time, before it is passed.
Meanwhile, the senate will debate the current status of
the Nigerian economy on Wednesday.
This followed a point of order raised by Bassey Akpan,
a senator from Akwa Ibom north-east, under order 42
of the senate rules which has to do with matters of
urgent national importance.
Akpan while making his submission stated that the
economy had slipped into a full-blown recession, and
added that it needed an urgent remedy..

“I wish to draw the attention of this chamber to the
statistics of Nigeria Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on the
state of Nigerian economy. Statistics have shown that
our economy has gone into a full-blown recession,” he
said.

After listening to him, Saraki stood down the matter to
the next legislative day.

According to the NBS, 1.5 million Nigerians became
unemployed in 2016. This is besides 13.7 percent
inflation rate, and the depreciating value of the naira.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has called for an
urgent monetary policy meeting to look into the current
fiscal challenges.

Romance / Five Funny Styles Nigerian Guys Use To Toast A Woman(find Yours) by Classichumble: 9:04am On May 30, 2016
Most Nigerian guys have a lot of growing up to do when it comes to psyching ladies. They have not given up on the weird ways in which they ask ladies out or call out to women.

Toasting Styles

In this present age and time where there is technological advancement, you will expect some of these Nigerian guys to flow with the tides and be more confident when it comes to asking women out. You would even expect some of them to be brave and summon the courage to walk up to women.

Moving on to the ridiculous ways in which men approach women in Nigeria, you will laugh at some of the things they use as their pickup lines. Women on the other hand are tired of hearing the same old story and are more likely to turn down whoever approaches them with lame lines.

Find below some of the lame and ridiculous lines Nigerian guys use when they want to ask women out:

1. The whistlers

Nigerian guys in this group are usually the touts and agberos you see around. They would rather hang around in groups and make noise when they see a pretty lady walk by. You will not even be sure of the one that has interest in the babe as they would keep making funny sounds with their mouths.

If you the lady looks in their direction, they would be inspired to throw lewd and bawdy remarks at her. If she ignores them, they would insult her and her generation.

2. The swagalicious bouncers

The Nigerian guys that fall within this group are so conscious of themselves. They believe in the have the confidence to walk up to any woman and ask her out. This confidence is not so far-fetched; having dressed in sagging jeans and some shirt with sneakers, they feel they are presentable enough for any girl to like and immediately fall for.

They however mess up the situation with the attitude they put up with it, they bounce and are so conscious of themselves to the point that they do not pay attention to what the ladies are saying.

3. Those who call you baby the first time

Some Nigerian guys do not know that women get turned off when they walk up to them for the first time and start to use words that are endearing on them. It makes them look cheap as the women keep wondering if they use these words for every woman they meet.

Those who call women ‘baby’ are usually business men who have goods on the high sea; they are boisterous and entice women with their assets.

4. The weaklings

The Nigerian guys you will find in this category are those who feel intimidated by women and their successes. They would stick around as friends until they gather enough momentum to tell the women about their feelings. They are usually afraid of being turned down and would tag along until they feel the women are starting to acknowledge them.

5. The smooth guys

Trust me when I say the Nigerian guys in this category are good; they are so smooth they would have you trip with the silliest remark they say. Whether they make sense or not, most girls would drop their guards when men like these approach them.

Which style do you Use? Drop your comments

Romance / 12 Lies You’ll Hear When A Nigerian Guy Likes You And Want To Get Your Atenttion by Classichumble: 8:44am On May 30, 2016
Humblegists just carried out some research on tricks guys use when they really need the attention of a lady.

Guys will use most of these word most. Of the time,check those words below;

1. “You look familiar.”
They use this to make a lady think she knows them somewhere before,so the lady will now start to recollect where she knows him. No its just a trick to get your attention.

2. “I only want to get to know you.”
This one is straight forward, just for the lady to give attention and get along

3. “I just want us to be friends.”
No not just to know you he has a motive

4. “I’m single.”
Guys use this just to make the lady feel at home and relaxed. Especially when They asked the lady out and she replies with “what of your girlfriend” the next thing a guy will. Say is “I don’t have one I’m single” just to tease the lady

5. “I have a girlfriend but we are having issues.” just to tease the lady, they have no issue he himself is the “issue”.

6. “I’m going to leave her for you.”
This is very funny and gullible ladies also fall for this, he will tell you he will leave his girl friend for you and you are also happy he want to to that for you. Do you think he will drop her for you? You are on your own o . “No its just to tease you”. But some guys do it sometimes anyway tho 3 out of 100.

7. “You’re the only girl I’m talking to.”
Pick your shoe and Run na deceive he dey deceive you

8. “She is just a friend.”
When they ask who is the lady…..,.

9. “I’m ignoring other girls because of you.”
Hehe just to tease you……..

10. “I’ve never met anyone like you before.”
As if you b Gold, dey there make he dey feed you with shiiii…….

11. “I’m not like other guys.”
He is not like other? I no talk o….cos me self be guy

12. “I’d never cheat on you.”

He actually means he’ll never get caught.

Or am i lieling? If i just lied just use the comment box below
