brilliant write up. but my dear, do not threaten us with unemployment. yes, the work force in shoperite, dstv and mtn are Nigerians but then do not think we have no other option. we have global com, visa phone, airtel and etisalat. our government can just strike a deal with them and before you know it, these sacked workers will be employed again. we also have other provision stores and shopping complexes. you guys should think twice.

Education / Re: TOP 10 Secondary Schools In Nigeria by Cmfrt001(f): 9:55pm On Jan 13, 2015
klem93:
We are pleased to announce our Top 60 Secondary Schools in Nigeria for 2014.

This year we have expanded the listings to cover the Top 60 in Nigeria.

We obtained this information directly from the Nigeria Ministry of Education. These results and not always available because of the fear that students and/or parents may transfer to these schools. However, at Wisdom Africa, we believe that openness, information and accountability can only help improve the educational system and help everyone make informed choices.

The following rankings are based on:

the educational facilities present in the school, the teaching aids and others.
the success they as a school and their students achieved in various examination mostly WAEC (West African Examination Certificate), NECO (National Examination Council of Nigeria).
Various mathematics examinations in which the students of these schools had excelled greatly.
Readers must also remember that this is a one year ranking. Any school can have one good year what really counts is performance over a number of years – check previous listing to help assess a schools long term performance.

Education / Re: Respect First Class Students In Public Universities by Cmfrt001(f): 6:44pm On Sep 06, 2014
Joy83:
You talk like a novice undergraduate. By the time you graduate, you will realize the CLASS OF DEGREE matters. When it comes to getting a good job, there is discrimination about that, even when you want to further your education, especially if you long for any scholarship.
At that, even if you wanna go into business, you can't imagine how people will patronize and respect you when they know you are a first class or 2'1 graduate. But on a contrary, a business man with 3rd class or pass, people may think he is doing business out of frustration from getting a good job.

Lesson: Whatever you find your hands doing, do it well because you don't know which one will be more useful. Do not find excuse for failure as no one is born to fail...
a novice undergraduate you may think but that phrase of yours has not in anyway described me. Class of decree may matter in seeking a white collar job(sometimes) but what qualifies one for a job is experience and ones ability to learn and adapt. Because you graduated with a 3rd class doesn't disqualify you for an office yes. Psychology is the word. Many may not be good academically but I bet you they will perform more than the 1st class holder in that office. Have you asked yourself why the plantain seller who probably has not gone beyond primary school can actually add, subtract, divide and even multiply faster and accurately with out a calculator which you mostly rely on? Life is beyond the your decree. There is something great deposited inside of you waiting to be unleashed. Check around you and you will discover that many of the rich and successful people in the world are either drop-outs, dullards, or without a university decree. Yes education is essential but please be sensitive enough not to allow your class of decree ruin you forever. Many 1st class holders are out there queuing for jobs just like you. God is the holder of your future but you are the one who determines it.

I trust my ABUSITES they won't comment because they alone alongside their lectures know what it means to even get a 3rd class from that school let alone a 1st class. The truth remains that it's not all about your class of degree but what you really have inside of the and how you intend to execute it because implementation is paramount. Please nairalanders, donot let results determine your future.

Health / Re: Here Is What Coffee Actually Does To Your Brain by Cmfrt001(f): 11:57am On Sep 01, 2014
stingbreed: Caffeine is a naturally occurring chemical stimulant called trimethylxanthine. Its chemical formula is C8H10N4O2.
It is a drug, and actually shares a number of traits with more notorious drugs such as amphetamines, cocaine and heroin.
Caffeine uses the same biochemical mechanisms as these other drugs to stimulate brainfunction: If you feel like your mind is racing after drinking one too many energy drinks, you're not imagining things.
In its pure form, caffeine is a white crystalline powder that tastes very bitter. It is medically useful to stimulate the heartand also serves as a mild diuretic, increasing urine production to flush fluid out of the body.
Caffeine has been an integral part of global culture for hundreds of years. African folklore sets the discovery of coffee's energizing properties around 800 A.D., European and Asian accounts indicate that coffee and tea were local staples as early as the 1400s. Although coffee was often seen as a rare luxury for societies far removed from coffee-growing regions, foods and drinks made from other caffeine-containing plants were likely part of humankind's medical and nutritional arsenal since before recorded history.
Today, caffeine is used much as it has been for generations: It provides a "boost of energy" or a feeling of heightened alertness. Many former students can recall using strong coffee or caffeine pills to stay awake while cramming for finals. Likewise, drivers on long road tripsoften fill their cup holders with energy drinks or convenience-store coffees to help them push through to their destinations.
Remember, though, that caffeine shares some traits of those much harder drugs -- including the ability to cause addiction. Many people feel as though they cannot function in the morning without a cup of coffee (and its caffeine-powered boost) to kick-start the day. Caffeine's effects may be much milder than those of illicit drugs, but kicking a caffeine habit can be difficult for someone who has made the drug a large part of his or her diet and lifestyle.
Caffeine is unlike many other drugs in that it is abundant in what we eat and drink. Read on to learn more about what foods provide most of the world's caffeine, and discover the many ways in which consuming caffeine has become part of global culture.
thanks a lot for the enlightenment.

Sir, I think I really need your help on this. If memory serves me right, the only thing the northerns did during the civil war was to close all the channels that could send foodstuffs to the East all in the name of keeping Nigeria as a country. Now, I want to you to enlighten me of the atrocities they committed that is actually hunting them now.

ajasa4link: The author of this trash is just a bitter niggar who will complain about everything that doesn't go his way ,just making baseless accusations. The problem is people like him think they know everything when they actually know next to nothing. Hear him call Don jazzy and tiwa savage " mavin slaves " as if any of his family members is half as successful as the two stars are.
Even a deaf man knows olamide's Ybnl is the most successful rap album in the period under review (mid 2012 - June 2013), but our bitter friend here will not agree with that and even accuse olamide of commercializing rap when in fact, reminisce, vector, phyno and his other hyped thin God are guilty of the same offence. And for u to even consider ice prince as what rap represents says a whole lot about what u know about hiphop.
For God's sake, stop asking the dumb question why this or that answer did not win the award, the answer is simple; BECAUSE PEOPLE LIKE U DID NOT VOTE FOR UR CHOICE,BUT WILL RATHER COMPLAIN WHEN UR ARTIST OF CHOICE DID NOT WIN ANYTHING.
Saying some artists won the award because they were mtn ambassadors is just a baseless conspiracy theory because there u have waje to negate ur claim.
Yeah, the organisers had some flops coming from their end,but spreading a conspiracy theory because u don't agree with final outcome of the awards is damn irresponsible of u.

LAST BULLET: stop saying u speak for majority of Nigerians u know the truth because u don't know shiit, u are just.a bitter unsuccessful dude trying to sell ur beer parlor talk to us as fact.
