@ Josboy4lif

Thank you! However, would you also conclude that KPMG looks better on the CV than Shell?

@ seges

Thank you so much for your comment. It does make alot of sense to go with KPMG.

Thank you

Hi guys,

I am a recent UK masters graduate in need of advice on the issue.

I need answers as to which of these companies offer better future job prospects for a career starter like myself.

This is not about money. It is about long-term prospects.

I have a finance related educational background and am seeking an international career.

Please advice. Comments would be sincerely appreciated.

Nairaland / General / Re: Should I Forgive Him by cocopops(m): 2:20am On Jul 30, 2006
I urge you to forgive him.

Because we never know when we would be in need of forgiveness ourselves.

However, for your own emotional and mental health, I would advice you not to succumb to his requests to rekindle the relationship.

That said, YOU and YOU alone know deep deep down what you ought to do - whatever it is, pray over it and go with it!

Hi Charita,

I could understand your desire to marry an attractive Nigerian.

But I have some reservations about the way you have made known this intention.

Don't you think that in the event of you getting with anyone who has seen your thread, the person's interest in you only encapsulates your 'passport' and not your personality.

This not only questions the longevity of any relationship fostered, I think it would also be a little embarrassing to tell your friends, family and/or maybe children that your love with this suitor only birthed after an advert of your citizenship/nationality.

I simply urge your pondering on the above.
Career / Re: Which Offer Should I Accept? Kpmg Or Pwc? by cocopops(m): 1:21am On Jul 30, 2006
Hey,

I think it is imperative to correct the notion that both PwC and KPMG are set up differently.

Both firms are set exactly the same way as "independent member firms" coordinated by a non-governing entity.

The non-governing entities play more of a coordinating role.

For KPMG, its is KPMG international

For PwC, it is PwC International Limited (PwCIL)

I know this because I got an offer from KPMG and am still trying to assess its long-term worth in comparison to other companies. Views on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Nairaland / General / Re: 24 Hours To Live; What Would You Do? by cocopops(m): 2:39am On Jul 26, 2006
I would arrange an extensive selection of Egusi Soup with assorted meat, isi ewu with extra pepper, round-about, pounded yam, ewedu, tatache, dried fish, ogbonu, moi moi, pap, akara, etc. along with the usual coke with gala or meat pie

I would consume each dish per hour until the 23rd hour, before I say my final goodbyes and prayers while hoping that when I get to heaven a similar selection of dishes would be there waiting for me. grin

Even if you do not intend to have candlelit dinners, NEPA would force you to.

Who would have thought NEPA actually improves romances across Nigeria.

Keep up the good work grin

GUYS GUYS GUYS GUYS!!!!

Hold on a second. I beg to differ with a lot of you who think there is nothing wrong with the whole idea.

I understand that sometimes people can be desperate, but friends what happened to the "SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE", the joining of man and woman before GOD, until death do us part. Don't those words mean anything. How could one agree to marry someone before GOD in a church, in the full knowledge that it is of no substance whatsoever.

Common guys. Think about it for a second. Doing that reduces us to mere primates existing without basic levels of priniciple or integrity.

For those considering it, like I said: "Just think about it for a second, maybe more"

Thanks guys! This post has really helped me gain a more insightful perception on the topic.

I am completing a masters in the UK this summer. I have had no previous full-time work experience and I received an offer from the Nigerian branch of one of the so called "Big Four" consulting firms and the total package amounted to about N130,000 (after tax etc).

Do you guys think it is reasonable or could one get better elsewere?
