A visitor visa holder MUST leave canada to apply for a study permit.
jnyuwa02:

I actually will highly recommend that route, having been denied s student visa because of PGC. Find a remedial program and concentrate on finishing and when done with an acceptance from the college, apply for change of status. It's not rocket science bro. Anyways look forward to discussing further with you. I think I see a pm coming in from you as I type. Will respond.

Hey,
I think you should get a back dated job offer letter from a company and also a recommendation letter from same company claiming employment.

My people good evening and I greatly appreciate everyone that has contributed on this thread since page 0. I'll like to throw this question open and hope that great minds here will give me a good answer. I graduated from a reputable federal university here in Nigeria in 2015 with a Bsc in Biochemistry and a second class upper degree. After Nysc I tried securing a job but since then till now no show so I decided to enrol for an Msc in Nutrition and Toxicology (which started January this year and should end next year if ASUU gree) but I'm not happy and do not feel satisfied cause naija seems uncertain. I spoke with my sponsor and she is willing to sponsor me to Canada to study for a diploma in Practical Nursing in Alberta. Before I proceed what do you guys think about this? Without a job how do I prove my ties to my home country? This is what bothers me most. Thank you.

Hey,
I think you should go for a Post Graduate Diploma program.
Masters in Canada requires a solid 1st class or 2nd class upper.

good evening gurus. I went through the thread and I have sent a lot of good work done. welldone to you all. pls I have just been refused visa although before I came across this thread. now I am thinking of reapplying but my sponsors account is now below 5m slightly above 4m and it is not even up to 6months I want to reapply am good to go. I need advice pls. Thanks.

Hey,
You were denied visa cos of insufficient funds i may say.
You are required to show your tuition fee and an additional $10,000 in your sponsors bank statement.
Now, if your sponsor has these money in his account, he has to have more sufficient for his family after sending you to Canada to school.
Looking at the current exchange rate, i think you will need more than 5 million naira in your sponsors account.
