Politics / Re: Controversy Over Move By U.S. to Label Boko Haram A Terrorist Group. by Cogent: 2:04pm On Jan 23, 2012
Why can't Nigeria be powerful enough to protect her citizens? If this GEJ administration is not capable of providing Nigerians with security, what about changing the Administration and electing a commander in chief who is capable of providing security?
When will Africans stop prostituting themselves to white people? Why can't we find solutions to our internal problems without opening our legs to white people?

Your thinking reminds me of a normal woman and a LovePeddler woman. When a normal woman is starving she thinks of finding a job to solve that problem. When a LovePeddler woman is starving she thinks of the next man to provide for her, pretending that she isn't aware of what will that man demand in return.

Thanx for this, alh.

Sometimes seeing the way Africans reason just embarrasses me.
How can so many people be so dumb?
Politics / Re: Controversy Over Move By U.S. to Label Boko Haram A Terrorist Group. by Cogent: 10:50am On Jan 23, 2012
Nigerians are not ashamed of themselves.
How can you people be so bold to declare that we cannot take care of our problems by ourselves and we need the US?
Shameless people.
No wonder when Africans visit other continents they are made fun of and insulted with different derogatory epithets.
I hope that those of you calling for external help instead of suggesting ways to solve the problem ourselves are ready to accept Americans as your superiors, seeing as how you admit they can achieve what you cannot.
I hope you accept their disrespect and rascism because you have proven that you deserve it with your stupid statements.

So they are expecting GEJ to listen to them?
When he didn't put subsidy back after both protests and strike?
When he didn't fire Ringim after Sokoto 'escaped' from the police?

Islam for Muslims / Islam for muslims by Cogent: 10:09am On Jan 22, 2012
I know this topic would sound a bit unusual but
Do you guys that are Muslims know whether mukina2 is still a Muslim?
I think she has become a Christian, but I might be wrong, I just need to know, so if anyone here is close to her, you can kindly inform me.
Reason for asking is that I come on Nairaland frequently and I will like to know the religion of one of the mods that controls so much on this site.
Just to understand her better.
Thanks.

Even after your president told you that BH is a political tool, you still blindly disregard what he said and claim that they are Muslims that want to Islamise Nigeria.
Direct your anger to the politicians financing BH, instead of to the population of Muslims that have spoken against them time and time again.

When Berom Christians ate the flesh of those muslims that did nothing to them, you people were quick to say they are not xtians & it is just a plan by those that want to distabilize Nigeria, but when you read leaflet that is circulated by the same people, you quickly decide that they must actually be muslims. Keep fueling war among yourselves instead of directing anger to those in power that want you dead. Fools
Politics / Re: English Translation Of The Boko Haram Leaflet Been Circulated In Kano by Cogent: 6:31am On Jan 21, 2012
I guess Nigerians have forgotten how Jonathan came out to declare that Boko Haram is being financed by Politicians.
I guess they have forgotten that the governor of Bayelsa once threatened to mobilize Boko Haram if he didn't get his way.
I don't understand how you people think. Muslims sheltered Christians during these bomb attacks, muslims were also killed during the attacks.
BH is a plot to divide the country. Why do you think USA were SO SURE we will split in 2015?
Webmasters / Re: SOPA Black Out On The Internet (how Is It Affecting You?) by Cogent: 10:30am On Jan 18, 2012
Thousands of websites, including some of the most popular, are going dark today to protest the Stop Online Piracy Act, which is designed to thwart copyright infringement but that Web experts warn could threaten the functionality of the Internet.

Encyclopedia giant Wikipedia, popular news-sharing site reddit, browser pioneer Mozilla, photo-sharing favorite Twitpic and even ICanHazCheezburger.com are blocking access to content throughout Wednesday, symbolizing what the bill may allow content creators to do to sites they accuse of copyright infringement. Other websites, including Google, are expressing solidarity with the protests by featuring anti-SOPA content on home pages.

The online protests are being joined by a physical demonstration in New York City, where thousands of representatives from the city's tech industry plan to demonstrate outside the offices of Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Kristen Gillibrand (D-N.Y.),co-sponsors of the Senate version of SOPA, beginning at 12:30 p.m. As pressure has mounted, both have expressed willingness to compromise.

SOPA would give both the government and major corporations the power to shut down entire websites accused of copyright infringement with neither a trial nor a traditional court hearing. The legislation is aggressively backed by Hollywood movie studios and major record labels, along with several major news providers, including Fox News and NBC-Universal, which have largely shied away from coverage of the bill.

Apart from wikipedia, I don't think nigerians browse the sites that shut down.

I applaud their move.
Useless/greedy president eating millions worth of food constantly, while failing to do his job and Nigerians don't rise up against him. Failing to curb Boko Haram, failing to arrest cabals stealing money, failing to provide refineries before removing subsidy, failing to provide constant power supply regular power supply, failing to provide standard educational institutions/good roads. Useless/puppet thief of a president, instead of other foolish Nigerians to rise against their bad government, they continue their lives of suffering and torment and criticize those speaking against the government
Foooooools!!!!!!!!!
Politics / Re: Vp Sambo Had Close Ties To Alleged Boko Haram Sponsor. by Cogent: 7:25am On Jan 18, 2012
@mike,
I am not sure whether it is foolishness or cowardice that is the problem of Nigerians. This last protest and outcry brought the attention of many Nigerians to the evils of PDP,yet they still carry on with their lives without trying to liberate themselves, and now the evidences linking PDP to BokoHaram are coming out, still no sign of Revolution.

Very foolish and myopic question.  Why are Igbos being butchered steadily in the North?  Are Igbos the only Southerners there?  Is Jonathan that they hold grouse against now an Ibo man?  I bet you, if another war breaks out in this God-forsaken country called Nigeria, your tribe won't be spared like the last time.  Foolish man.

Even more foolish and myopic statement.
So because your brothers were killed you want to start killing any and everybody you see, whether they are your enemy or not?

Which one be all these Igbo people own?
When did they become souterners?
Are they no longer easterners or are they trying to take over the whole of both East and South.

@Those jubilating,
Obviously you people have never experienced a war before.
Continue supporting killing of innocents instead of holding Jonathan responsible for failing to provide security for Nigerians.

And why are Biafran constitution or whatever they call themselves sending Muslims from the South?
Is the whole of Soutern area in Nigeria the property of Igbos?
I thought Igbos were in the East?
Politics / Re: We Didn't Bomb Madalla Church - Boko Haram by Cogent: 10:12am On Jan 10, 2012
Nigerians.
The way people are vehemently saying the statement is a lie makes it seem as if they want to implicate Northerners by all means.
Boko Haram are not the ones carrying out all the bombings, if you like o, deceive yourself that it is not true, if you like close your ears so you don't hear the truth.
Whether you like it or not, Boko Haram is just something people who want to divide Nigeria are hiding behind.
At first, they tried to make it look as if it was a religious war, when Christians didn't retaliate, they turned it to war between Hausas and Igbos, trying ever so desperately to split the country

I feel sorry for the women after reading some of the replies here.
It's no wonder a lot of women rush into loveless marriages and suffer all their lives.
Economy is hard o, if both you and your wife can be contributing financially to the upkeep in the house it will not be bad. Biko, let women study and graduate and get good jobs, stop using your backward reasoning to make them rush into marriage.

Why do you panic? why are you against haj-harem? we want Nigeria to burn to give us three end product O,A and B, any body who can facilitate it is much appreciated. Please direct your anger to Boko Haram not Haj Harem. If you know you have properties in the north that you value more than your life, get yourself a very new AK47 and 2RPGS for your personal security. We advised you all to sell your properties and relocate to the south last year. The real war has not started, when the war start proper, we will wear our army uniform and mount our check point, let see how they will fight us in our land and succeed. We don't fight and run like Boko Haram

kpogede, boko haram is something the politicians are sponsoring, why not direct your anger towards them instead of towards innocent people that are not part of boko haram?
