Islam for Muslims / Drawing In Islam by Cogent: 8:45pm On Mar 06, 2011 |
Please what is the stance on drawing of half completed human figures in Islam? I know that drawing the full, anatomically correct human figure is wrong but I am not sure of what is said about drawing maybe, a person from just the head to the waist, leaving out the legs. Is such a thing allowed? I mean such uncompleted figure drawings. Thank you for your help, may Allah continue to guide and protect you and plant your feet firmly in Islam. Amin. |
Politics / Re: Gej Endorsement Of Disgraced Uduagban For Governorship by Cogent: 2:05pm On Mar 06, 2011 |
^^^^^I know personally. some distance from uduaghan's house. That day, there was hold up and road blocks and just general confusion and unease on the road because that crook, GEJ was coming to Warri. |
Politics / Re: Gej Endorsement Of Disgraced Uduagban For Governorship by Cogent: 2:01pm On Mar 06, 2011 |
Uduaghan should never have been given the right to contest in re-election. He was found out the first time to have lost the election so he should have just gotten out of the way for the winner to take over, but no. They went to crookedly arrange for a re-election even after the winner was known. And that crook, Badluck Johnathan endorsed the re-election. Some days before the re-election, Badluck even went to Warri to visit Uduaghan in his house and endorse the re-election. On the re-election day proper, thugs were positioned at polling stations. They just stood there to ask everyone who wanted to vote, what party they were voting for. If they said "PDP" the thugs let them go ahead to vote. If they said any AC, they were driven away, asked to go and vote elsewhere. That was how Uduaghan entered office again. And GEJ endorsed his re-election. Pigs. |

Romance / Re: Man Caught His Pregnant Wife Cheating On Him! by Cogent: 7:32am On Feb 18, 2011 |
Bankole_O:Women who are 4months pregnant can have sex/sleep with their husbands. There are stages in pregnancy that sex is allowed and stages that sex is not adviced. And a woman who is pregnant still has sexual desires, she doesn't become stone. I don't support her cheating in any way, point I am trying to make is that you men coming here to crucify the woman should examine yourselves first, and have an objective look at the situation. You don't know what life she has been living or under what circumstances she cheated, so take an effing chill pill. All this animousity coming from men who are very well known for their marital unfaithfulness is just ironic. 1 Like |

H$LBroker:WTF?!? For your information, this was also in an age when FGM was the norm, sacrificing goats and cows to oracles was the in-thing, widows were inherited, it was ok for 9 year old girls to be married, any nation's king could get up and wage war against the next country just for the heck of it and slave keeping was something that determined status. For the love of peace. Men like you need to get over yourselves and put justice and fairness over your fragile egos. Would you like the man your daughter marries to cheat on her? |

Eya. I feel sorry for him. This very greatly unequal distribution of wealth between the rich and the poor is not helping the world. |

@untainted and odunnu, I am the type of person that likes basing my actions on logic and reason. I did not ask that question to make trouble, I would just like for people to think and employ reason before they do the things they do. |

I don't see why Protestants should be celebrating Saint Valentine's day when the celebration was established by a catholic pope. Please Protestants, why do you celebrate a catholic festival? |
Religion / Re: Happy Valentine by Cogent: 2:04pm On Feb 14, 2011 |
Ok. But do you know why this 'Valentine's' day is celebrated today? Do you know it's origins? @Op, Question is for you. |

Nairaland / General / Seun, Good Morning Sir, Please, Ejó, Open This Thread. Thank You. by Cogent: 8:48am On Jan 26, 2011 |
Hello. This thread is addressed to Seun, owner of Nairaland. There is no disrespect intended by starting it, I can assure you. Anyway I just wanted to draw your attention to the word filter and how it changes/alters/very horribly distorts words from their meanings sometimes. Even if you don't want to change every single wrongly-filtered word, please change the one for r.ape. It cannot be 'violation'. If 'violation' replaces the word 'r.ape' on NL, you start having sentences like; 'I want to violation my wife', 'Help, or my boyfriend will violation me'. 'I hate violation'. (violation of what? Different things can be violated). 'Can a woman rape a man?' And so on and so forth. These things can be hard to read sometimes and cause one embarrasment, considering that non-Nigerians also visit this site. |

Family / Re: Are Girls More Difficult To Train Than Boys? by Cogent: 5:09pm On Jan 14, 2011 |
@post above me; Its not true that girls fall into peer pressure while boys take after adults, (as if they are immune to peer pressure). It goes both ways, for males and females. Some boys fall into peer pressure and some girls do same. Likewise, some girls take after adults and so do some boys. The foolish way of life is not limited to only girls, kwo? |
Family / Re: Are Girls More Difficult To Train Than Boys? by Cogent: 5:54am On Jan 13, 2011 |
Is seun getting married? Why all the children/couples/partner topics coming to front page these days? @topic, Society places the greater burden of morality on girls and expect them to live up to higher standards than boys, so the parents tend to be stricter with girls than boys, that is why it appears as if girls are more difficult to train. The soft girls that are more obedient and not as strong headed as boys cannot be more difficult to train. What you should say is that keeping girls moral and pure and innocent as society demands is more difficult than doing same for boys, since society hardly demands that. |
