OyoTunjiUSA:
Hey 🤠 @coluwabe. 1. To me, the major reason i could deduced that caused your F-1 visa denial is " Pre-Memorized Transcripts (answers ) which you even did in a wrong way. 2. Naturally , University undergraduate students does not really deal directly with Professors, but in your answers, you put too much emphasis (mentions) on professors as if you are a graduate student , even an Msc student s relationship with a professor cannot be compare to that of a PhD applicant not to talk of a Bsc student . 3. Also , your answer to : Why did you choose University of St. Thomas is not reasonable and convincing enough because you can easily make friends in any institution and it seems your main goal is to go and worship a particular Professor which is even out of focus for an undergraduate student . 4. Another debacle is your graduation plan answer which is ; to work with the National Institute of Medical research. Did you have any employment Bond contract with NIMR ? Your Post-graduation plan should be straight Msc or to help develop family business or to apply for STEM-MBA, or after the compulsory NYSC etc. 5. The consular who interrupted your interview was a senior officer (my personal reasoning ) because they don't usually interrupt an ongoing interview except in the case they want to verify something together . I think that officer signaled your inability to qualify to your interviewer. 6. You gave little info on " Who are your Sponsors ? This denotes that you have combined different sponsors (according to your Form I-20) because the question is supposed to be " Who is (not are). 7. Someone needs to study your over all profiles and presentations. Communication training is your no 1 , follows by DS-160 information. Best Wishes 🙏
|

Good evening all. Please I really need advice and help and possible tips ace my second interview. I had my interview at the US embassy in Abuja on the 13th of May 2024. When I got to the VO, she smiled first and we exchanged pleasantries.I was interviewed by a female white VO. She looks middle aged like around 47-51. She had previously denied a girl before me. Two other girls were also denied but by different officers. They were going for undergrad too. I was going for an undergrad programme. I'm actually in my second year of college here in Nigeria. I'm 19 years old. VO: Pass me your i20 and passport Me: I did as expected VO: Why did you choose university of St. Thomas? Me: Because of its liberal art focus and small class size. The student to faculty ratio is 13:1 which means I'll have access to my professors. The small class size will enable me make friends easily and also get to know my professors well too. Being part of a community is important to me. Also I've been able to get in touch with 2 of my professors, one of which is the neuroscience chair of my dept. (I mentioned her name) and also with the professor of psychology( I mentioned her name too. ) Psychology will be one of the courses I'll be taking in my first year. I'll be taking a total of 16 to 20 credit unit courses. Also I have friends that are currently in the university and they've told me about their positive experiences there. ( She wasn't even saying anything or looking at me throughout . She was just on her computer. ) VO: My plans upon graduation Me: My plan is to come back to my home country to work with the National Institute of Medical research. I hope to specialize in neurodegenerative diseases . I'll be dealing with brain tumors and Alzheimer's diseases. (She still didn't utter any thing. She was just typing . As I was talking, one of the men in the entrance of the door interrupted me by talking with the VO. ) VO: Who are my sponsors? Me: I told her. She then finally asked me if I've been to the US before and I said no I have never. VO: Types for a long time and she said unfortunately I won't be approving your visa . She gave me a pink paper. I later asked her why. She smiled and said I'm free to reapply again. She told me the reason for my denial is in the paper given to me. I was so sad. My parents were sad too. They encouraged me and they decided I'll reapply again. My resumption date is supposed to be in the 26th of August🥺🥺. I really need advise please. I still don't know the reason till now. |
