Police, traditional ruler of the community and some Nigerians will pretend not to see all this; but the day baddo will be lynched and adequate jungle justice carried out, some fools will be crying foul.
I sincerely don't know how Nigerians coin words to back up evil, even when they know the authorities ain't helping the populace.

Ssc or dssc, it depends on ur choice. DSSC is office work (professional) of which u can convert latter if there is vacancy for conversion. SSC is strictly army work. In yr 2014 promotion, many dssc officers were promoted to Brig Gen even major Gen. Those ranks are politics. I hce seen a regular officer that was retired as Col. as in compulsory retirement. Former CDS Air Marshal Paul Dike was a DSSC officer though he's an air force officer. With God it is possible to reach d top echelon in d millitary especially when d political despensation at that moment favoured u. Some DSSC officer just gt there conversion recently at the rank of captain when some wil face COAS promotion board in couple of days. I mean from Brig Gen to Maj. Gen. Good luck to everyone. Hope u guys are getting ready?
Bro, u know so much about the Nigerian Army; I envy u o. Please I have a question for u. what exercises (what does it entail) do the ssc officers undergo for conversion and when are they ripe or due for it after they are commissioned?

Nairaland / General / Re: A Mad Man Got Knocked Down While Crossing The Road. Now I Am Stuck With Him by coolaustyne(m): 11:40am On Oct 31, 2016
elengee:
Dear NAIRALANDers,
It is with heavy heart that I write this piece and I will appreciate your suggestions on the way forward.

I was travelling along idiroko Road on the 1st of October, 2016, on the fast lane near the culvert, when an apparently mad man ran carelessly across the road and before I could maneuver away from him, he was hit and got knocked down.

The windscreen got shattered and part of my car roof cave in. I however managed to stop the car and rushed down to the fallen man.

He was lying there by the median culvert and unconscious. I asked people to help get a vehicle to take him to a Hospital but nobody moved. They seem tobe enjoying the live drama. I then walked to the car, reversed and they help put him on my car seat.

I drove him into the nearest hospital, rolled up my sleeves and joined the Medical team to resuscitate the man. He looks unkempt and is apparently a wanderer.

By the way, I am a medical practitioner.

He was admitted and put on necessary equipment and medication. However, he remained in coma.

I thereafter went in search of people around who may identify or know the victim. Nobody has seen him before.

Later, I went to the nearest police station to report the accident, and an officer accompanied me to the hospital, then back to the station and I put down a statemen and was released on self recognition.

I took the man for a CT Scan yesterday to further investigate him while continuing other treatments.

It's been 4 days of the best medicare anyone can hope for and the man is still in coma.

The police are waiting and watching.
I am waiting, watching, praying and caring.
The man is just there.

What more can I do?
You have a good heart.. May God grant him quick recovery, and his sanity too. God bless u. And I hope the police men ain't accusing u of anything?

Sports / Southampton Versus Chelsea FC, Today: 5pm by coolaustyne(m): 12:34pm On Oct 30, 2016
The Blues were going great after Conte decided to move to a 3-4-3 formation. They won against Leicester and United and were seen as favorites against West Ham as well. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be and now Chelsea have one less competition to focus on. It may be good news though as the Londoners are now just one point away from Arsenal and City who are involved in the Champions League and the EFL which means a game every 2-3 days. With a bit of luck and with Arsenal and Manchester City having to spread their resources very carefully, Chelsea could move to first place and knowing Conte, they could stay there until June.
The Blues need a win against Southampton to get their morale up and build on that before facing Spurs and City close to the beginning of December. With proper attention directed towards the fixtures and with full concentration, Chelsea should be able to win their 4th away game of the season. The Saints also have the Europa League to focus on especially after getting just one point from their last two games.
In terms of their squad Chelsea do not have Fabregas who is still out for one more week due to a thigh injury. Ivanovic is rumored to be ready to play but given the new formation he might be left on the bench. Cahill, Luiz and Azpilicueta form a strong defensive line especially when helped by Alonso, Matic, Kante and Moses.
Southampton will have to play without Long, Rodriguez and Targett who are all in recovery until the second half of November. Their biggest threat to Chelsea will be Austin who is currently the team’s best scorer with 4 goals up until now.
The Blues will count on Costa and Hazard who together have scored 11 goals and provided 2 assists. The Spaniard is most likely to score especially after being rested for most of the game against West Ham.
Conte insists it is early to think about the title but on the other hand what else are you thinking of when you have Chelsea written on your shirt? The Italian knows that there’s a long way until the end of the season and insists on keeping a cool head and also on improving with each game:
“There are five teams who are very close but we shouldn’t look at the table, we must be focused on our work on the pitch.
“It’s too early to talk about the table or the title. We must improve game by game and trust in the work, that’s the most important thing.”

Muslims na dem get mind pass for soldiers....always ready to die!
Ain't a muslim though but anyone would; once u know the life u have chosen to live and being a catholic, I've been made to know that death can come at anytime and I need not bother myself about it: but aim at leaving a good life, one worth emulating. And as a soldier, u learn to live a godly life as d hour of reckoning might or might not come early. But being prepared and being ready to take loads of bastards with u when u go down is d real deal... May God help us...

Latest from Jaji as at 1700 hour, 26/10/2016. The hostel used by Cadets (dssc) is occupied by soldiers that came for course. I don't know if that could be part of the reason for the delay. Wishing you all the best, soonest I know all this will come to past.
Paying the ultimate price shouldn't be the issue, as a soldier never loses on all front; "he either returns from war a hero or he's remembered a martyr".. Been in a state of bliss when death comes calling is his main concern.
All in all, Idina sirotul mustaqeem.
God bless us all, God bless Nigeria.

It is not about when we are to commence cadet training but rather it is about when will the final list be out to know if you are going or not so you can know what to be doing now. No matter when training will commence, if you are sure of going, you won't be worried. Right now, a lot of people are already missing other opportunities because they don't know if they will make it or not by the time the list will be out.

Sports / Chelsea FC Versus Leicester City, Today; 12:30pm by coolaustyne(m): 9:24am On Oct 15, 2016
As football around Europe resumes after the international break for World Cup qualifying, the Premier League is no different as Chelsea face Leicester City in the early Saturday game at Stamford Bridge with kick-off scheduled for 12.30pm local time. Chelsea had dominated this fixture in recent seasons up until last year when they drew one game and lost one to the eventual Premier League champions Leicester City as former Blues boss Claudio Ranieri had a dream season and led the Foxes to the title.
This is always going to be a special fixture now that the much loved former Blues manager is managing Leicester and indeed they needed that kind of inspiration having lost their previous six games against Chelsea before the “Tinkerman” took charge at King Power Stadium. Antonio Conte and Claudio Raneri know each other well having both operated in Serie A where Ranieri once tried to sign the then player Conte to play for him at Fiorentina when Conte was plying his trade as a player for Juventus. In fact Ranieri was very complimentary when Conte was appointed as the Chelsea manager saying that the former Italy national team manager would bring trophies to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea come into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Hull City and sit in 7th position just behind Man United in 6th on goal difference and only 3 points out of the top 4. Leicester on the other hand come into the match in 12th position only behind Watford in 11th on goal difference.
Jamie Vardy was a man on fire last year setting the record for the longest streak of most games played in a row and scoring a goal. The Foxes hitman has not been hitting the net so regularly this season which is part of the reason why the team have gotten off to a relatively slow start.
Many people are looking at this as a draw as Leicester City look to be improving after a slow start and you can see them playing Chelsea pretty tight as Antonio Conte is still looking for the right combination of personnel and formation in his Blues XI. There is of course the sub-plot of reunion of new Chelsea man N’Golo Kante with his former Leicester mates as the Blues midfielder will likely get to play a role in the game. We see this as a close encounter with the Blues coming out on top with a late winner 2-1.
Who will conquer? The blues or foxes? A great match awaits us.

I just Love it when a truth is spoken so confidently. My brother, you are a True Soldier. Your type is among the few that are trying so hard to make a difference in d Nigerian Military. Keep it up bro, you are already an officer cadet in d NA.

Someone will still come here and claim he has nobody and his name was shortlisted, even mocked God by justifying d lie in God's name. Wolves in sheeps clothing going about and disgracing the image of the NA. How do you intend to correct a wrong system when you keep covering it with a lie??

U once said this and still stand on what I said.. I know no one and had to even beg people to direct me to officers from my state who could help me sign. I used to think the way u do, until it happened to me. Its for real God can decide to favour u.
Still awaiting the final list.
