Webmasters / 2 Smart Tips To Massively Increase Your Blog Comments by copley: 6:22pm On Sep 12, 2016
Having a unqiue blog post without any comment is not encouraging especially as a newbie in the blogging industry. I was doing a research on SEO and stumbled upon an article that shared tips on how to increase blog comments significally.

These 2 simple things which i will explain here don't include something's like: "Make a good post" or "Hold a comment contest". I do believe that good posts do attract people to comment, so do the comment contests. But i didn't do one of them or even both of them. What i learnt was...

Active on commenting other blog similar to my topic

If you are a blogger, besides making a post to your blog, another must-to-do task for you is exploring other blog which are similar to your topic. Once you found those blog, be active to comment on those blog. What i mean is buzzing the owners of those blog about your existence in this world of blogging by active commenting on those blog. Keep leaving comment(s) everyday on his/her posts. Usually, the blog owner will notice you as the one who keep reading his/her blog, and probably they will come to your blog, and leave comment(s) on your blog post.

If they don't leave comment(s) on your blog, that's fine. It could be their readers who will leave comment on your blog. But still you will see an improvement on the number of your blog comments. I add one thing, to make sure that your task you have done give good input to your blog, i recommend you to only leave comment(s) on dofollow blog (read how to find dofollow blog).

Install Dofollow Top Commentators Widget

This is very important! If your blog lacks a good number of comments http://getblogtutorial..com.ng/2016/09/smart-tactics-to-massievly-increase-blog-comment.html

Politics / Buhari’s Administration Will Transform Thousands From Tenants To Home Owners by copley: 11:10am On Sep 06, 2016
The Federal Government has said that its affordable housing schemes will soon transform thousands of Nigerians from being tenants to proud owners of houses and plots of land.

This is contained in a statement by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari, in Abuja on Monday.

Mr. Shehu said the scheme, operated through the mortgage banking system, was part of the programmes meant to uplift the quality of lives of the citizens.

“There are also programmes for affordable housing with mortgages which will transform thousands from tenant status to homeownership.’’

The statement said the Buhari-led administration had so far released N74 billion as part of capital allocations in the last three months.

More capital releases will soon be made to revitalise the economy, the statement said.

“Most of our road contractors had not been paid since 2012, many of them had sent their workers away adding to the unemployment problem,” it said.

“This government has released capital allocations in the last three months that is more than the whole of 2015.

“In 2015 Nigeria spent a paltry N19 billion on roads, in three months we have spent N74 billion and we are already releasing more,’’ he said.

The statement by Mr. Shehu, which was in reaction to negative comments on the nation’s economy, said the Federal Government had spent N26 billion in the transport sector in the last few months.

It also said that the government would start a concession that would revive the nation’s rail system for freight.

He expressed the hope that the movement of goods, particularly foodstuff through the rail system would reduce the cost of food items across market places in the country.

“In the transport sector in 2015, government spent just N4.2 billion; we have spent N26 billion with more to follow.

“We are starting a concession that will revive our old rail system for freight, whilst we build a new high speed rail system.

“Moving heavy goods by rail will reduce our transport costs which will reduce food prices and will save our roads from damage from heavy loads.,” it said.

“No government has ever considered the poor like this one. Under the current budget, the administration devoted N500 billion for social intervention programmes for those who need and deserve support.

“Any process that will endure, must involve some pain but things will begin to improve. There is always a time lag between policy and effect. That is why the bad effects of past policies are manifesting now.

“Similarly, the positive impact of the work being undertaken to fix Nigeria’s problems will soon begin to show and we will emerge from this period stronger, wiser and more prosperous.

“There is hope for Nigeria, a hope that was previously clouded by corruption, greed and lack of focus.

“Nigeria is starting over and everyone has a role to play. Look back, look ahead.’’

Phones / Apple Iphone 7, Iphone 7 Plus Prices Leaked Ahead Of Launch by copley: 11:36am On Aug 31, 2016
Apple has already sent out the invitations for the launching event of next iPhones -- iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus -- scheduled for September 7. The smartphones until now have been through numerous leaks and rumours, now the latest one claims to reveal the duo's pricing in China.

According to a report by Phoneradar, iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are expected to come in three variants (based on storage) -- 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. While the iPhone 7 32GB is said to cost CNY 5288, the 128GB and 256GB variants are expected to costs CNY 6088 and CNY 7088 respectively. As for the larger and more powerful iPhone 7 Plus, the 32GB, 128GB and 256GB versions are supposed to come with a price tag of CNY 6088, CNY 6888 and CNY 7888 respectively.

Converting the prices to Nigerian currency, the 32GB, 128GB and 256GB of iPhone 7 would approximately cost 249,574.01 NGN, 287,331.04 NGN and 334527.34 NGN respectively. While 32GB, 128GB and 256GB versions of iPhone 7 Plus would roughly cost 287,331.04 NGN, 325,088.08 NGN and 372,284.38 NGN respectively.

However, since the above is straight conversion of China prices, one could expect the smartphones to cost more in Nigeria as import duties and other factors too come into play.

As per some recent reports, the iPhone 7 will feature a 4.7-inch 3D touch display, while the iPhone 7 Plus is expected to feature a large 5.5-inch display. The company is also planning to increase the display resolution in the iPhone 7 to enable users to use the device for reading and app navigation.

The iPhone 7 is rumoured to be powered by Apple's A10 processor paired with 2GB RAM. The 'Plus' variant is said to feature the same processor with 4GB RAM.

As for the camera, the upcoming iPhone 7 is expected to bear a 12MP rear camera coupled with a 5MP front-facing snapper. As far as the iPhone 7 Plus is concerned, you can expect a 16MP rear camera. Both will be powered by the iOS 10 OS version.

The handsets might also ditch the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack and instead come with a lightning connector for headphones.

Webmasters / Angry Youths Petitions Whatsapp's Policy Of Sharing Data With Facebook by copley: 8:54am On Aug 31, 2016
When will Nigerians petition whatsapp's new policy?

Angry youths in India have moved to a High Court in Delhi to challenge Whatsapp policy to share data with Facebook.

A group of Judges asked the Centre and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on Tuesday to respond by September 14 to the plea that questions why WhatsApp modified its earlier privacy policy, leaving users vulnerable.

Petitioners Karmanya Singh Sareen and Shreya Sethi alleged the new policy changes the "most basic, valuable and essential feature" of WhatsApp and doesn't take informed consent of users in India about sharing of their information with Facebook. The policy , they said, "unilaterally threatens to take away the protection to privacy of details and data of its users and sharing the same with Facebook and all its group companies, including for the purpose of commercial advertising and marketing".

The petition argued the "manner in which so-called consent is sought to be taken is highly deceptive in as much as almost the entire community of users of WhatsApp are not equipped to even read, much less comprehend, the consequences of the terms and conditions on the basis whereupon, WhatsApp is pretending to obtain consent of the users" they said.

Pets / Man Snaps A Picture Of A Raccoon On Top An Aligator by copley: 4:49am On Jul 18, 2016
A Palatka man said he snapped a picture of a raccoon on top of an alligator in the Ocala National Forest Sunday morning.
Richard Jones said he and his family were walking along the Oaklawaha River watching alligators when his son walked through some palm fronds to get a good picture.
Jones said his son must have startled the raccoon, which stumbled toward the water and hopped on top of the gator that was nearby.
Jones was able to quickly take the unique photo before the raccoon scurried back on land.
"I snapped a lucky picture right when the gator slipped into the water and before the raccoon jumped off and scurried away. Without the context you'd think the raccoon was hitching a ride across the river. Pretty amazing," Jones said in an email. "Definitely the photo of a lifetime."

Foreign Affairs / Chinese Mocks Philippines, Calls PH ‘banana Seller’ by copley: 6:12am On Jul 17, 2016
Chinese Cartoon Mocks Philippines – After the ruling of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) favoring the Philippines over China against its claims on the West Philippine Sea, Chinese netizens expressed their disappointment using a mockery cartoon.
The mockery was in the form of a cartoon that is now going viral on the Internet and the social media. The said cartoon in the Chinese language was posted on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. There, it can be sensed that the Philippines was identified as a “banana seller” who ‘dared to steal from its “father”, China.

According to an article on Quartz, Weibo, have called on to its users to express themselves regarding the ruling made by the PCA against its claims over the West Philippine Sea.

The said cartoon started wherein the Philippines is claiming that the West Philippine Sea is not of China. Then, it is followed by a response by China saying “Oh? Really?” while staring at the Philippines with “wisdom”. Others even said that China must consider “starting a war” or “boycotting the Philippines.”

Next, the Philippines can be seen sweating and thinking “I’m panicking” inside.

Politics / Someone Owns The Oil by copley: 10:36am On Jul 12, 2016
THE situation of Nigeria today requires a thorough analysis. It is important for people to be better educated on the history of how we got to where we are today, how we found ourselves in this miserable situation. Unfortunately, the subject of history has been removed from our present educational system and so history is now how each person or group sees it. That is the story of Nigeria today. If you are in power, the version of history you give is assumed to be the correct one. If you have the power of propaganda or of the media, your line of thinking takes pre-eminence, but can we move forward with the distortion of history being now peddled? If we do not know the true situation of our history, how can we chart a course for a successful future? It is said that if a foundation is faulty, nothing good will come out of the structure, no matter how beautiful we make of it. The road to our future is to state the truth and face it squarely, no other path will work. As it is now, we are still in a dream world. I saw a headline in one of our national dailies, “Nobody owns the oil”, attributed to Balarabe Musa, a former governor of Kaduna State in the era of Alhaji Shehu Shagari as President of this country. It got me thinking: Can an enlightened man like Alhaji Balarabe Musa be so misguided? Especially at this point in our national politics that people are becoming very sensitive to the activities of the Niger Delta zone. Is it proper to hear such a statement from a so-called voice from the North? It is also instructive to note here of a similar claim trending on the Internet: A House of Reps member from Jigawa State boasted in front of television cameras that the oil in the Niger Delta belongs to Jigawa State. A very comic situation indeed. But from what Balarabe has said, it is clear that our Northern brothers are beginning to take themselves seriously on this line of thinking. It is really ridiculous for them to behave as if the Niger Delta is a captured colony of the North. Or how do you view such a situation? It is important to note also that this kind of argument is put up by leaders of the North. The other day, the President of our country implied in a statement that because they fought in the civil war to subdue the rebel Biafrans, they must equally own the resources of the South. They forgot to tell the whole world that had the South-South ethnic groups not co-operated with the federal troops, there was no way the battle could have been won. They forgot to tell the whole world that the mistake Odumegwu Ojukwu made was not carrying the South-South ethnic groups along in his plans. They forgot to note that if David Ejoor had co-operated with Ojukwu, the outcome of the war would have been different in the Mid-West region. They forgot to note that if the Biafrans had not forcefully captured South-South territories, they would have gotten their co-operation. But no, they are all gloating, claiming that they fought the war for the South. How will the Hausa man get to Bonny land without the guide of the local indigenes? That is our way, we do not give credit to those to whom it is due. Those making noise today forgot that Ken Saro Wiwa, who was brutally murdered by a Northern head of state, was at the thick of the civil war action, including the Ijaw hero Isaac Boro. Those who were not in the thick of real action are now claiming what did not happen. That is what you get when you do not include history in your curricula. The almighty God has blessed us with diverse gifts: some are tall while others are short, some are strong while some are weak, some lands are very fertile while others are not so fertile and require extra efforts to make them fertile. Some regions are cold while others have hot climate. Such are the gifts of God to each individual or group; it is left for you to tap into the gift or resources that the Lord has given you, to advance yourself or use it in any way that will benefit you. That is how it has been. The discovery of oil did not start in Nigeria. In every other place that oil has been discovered, the owners of the land owned the resources and they are accorded such rights. If God did not make natural resources available to you, He endows you in other areas. That is why Israel has done well in agriculture despite their desert lands. When the federation was three and later four regions, every region was in charge of its resources and that was how groundnut and other resources were used to develop Kano and other cities of the North. The same way proceeds from cocoa and other resources of the West were used to develop Ibadan and other cities in the West, including the famous Cocoa House building. The East used their palm oil proceeds and other resources including coal, to develop Enugu and other cities of the Eastern Region. No money was taken from one region to develop another. Balarabe and his cohorts must not peddle the lie that other regions’ resources were used to develop the Niger Delta; that is a big lie. It is also left for the Niger Delta nations to use the money the way they deem fit and not for others to tell them how to do so. A lot of us have travelled to Dubai and other Arab countries, and all you see working and doing menial jobs are foreigners. The oil in the Niger Delta region belong to the communities, the people who own the land. Whatever is found naturally in your land is your property and no amount of propaganda, co-ercion or intimidation can change that. Until the communities are factored in as co-owners of the oil businesses in their land, the distortion, acrimony and insurgency will continue. Only the truth and adherence to the truth can set this country free.

Politics / Sexual Misconduct: US Ambassador Presents Video Evidence Thursday by copley: 10:25am On Jul 12, 2016
Outgoing United States ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle, is expected to produce the video evidence of the alleged sexual misconduct levelled against three Nigerian lawmakers on Thursday.

The Ossai Ossai Committee set up to probe the alleged sexual misconduct involving the three members of the House of Representatives has fixed a meeting with the ambassador for Thursday.

The three lawmakers, Mohammed Garba Gololo (APC, Bauchi); Samuel Ikon (PDP, Akwa Ibom) and Mark Gbillah (APC, Benue), were accused of sexual misconduct by Entwistle in a petition to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, last month.

The ambassador had alleged that the actions of the three lawmakers at the International Visitor Leadership Programme in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, from 7th to 13th April, 2016, brought disrepute to the parliament by soliciting for sex from prostitutes and grabbing hotel housekeeper in a bid to rape.

It was gathered that the Committee had been unable to sit because some of the members of the committee had travelled to perform their religious obligation in Mecca during the Ramadan fast.

It was also gathered that the Committee decided not to extend the invitation to the hotel management as the Ambassador who broke the information through a letter to the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara was expected to have all the documentary evidence against the three accused members.

Apart from the outgoing US Ambassador that is expected at the open public hearing, the Committee also extended invitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyema, Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, the three accused lawmakers, the National Human Rights Commission, as well as the other seven members that attended the leadership programme.

Chairman of the Committee, Ossai said that the committee decided not to invite the management of the hotel where the alleged sex misconduct took place because it believed that the Ambassador would come with all the necessary video evidence where the accused committed the action.

He added that the Committee did not carry out any secret investigation because the members involved in the allegation had demanded public investigative hearing for Nigerians to see determine if they were guilty or not.

While inaugurating the Ossai-led Ethics Committee alongside the Foreign Affairs after the House resolution at plenary on Tuesday, 21st June, Dogara had described the assignment as a very serious one where many people had already made their conclusion that the three accused lawmakers were wrong.

However he stated that, the committee should assume the accused are innocent until they are proven guilty by evidence.

Religion / “GAY Means God Adores You, God Accepts You, God Affirms You. by copley: 11:51am On Jul 11, 2016
Nigeria’s first gay pastor, founder of secret gay church, House of Rainbow, Rowland Jide Macaulay, says he is proud to have come out in the open, even though he is still trying to get over his families’ rejection.
Macaulay revealed how he felt after being rejected by family and friends over his sexual status.
The homosexual pastor revealed on his Facebook page how he had on several occasions thought of committing suicide.

He wrote: I’m not ashamed of being who I am. Although I am happy to have divorced my ex-wife in 1994, I regret not knowing of my sexual preference before I got married.
“I am truly not worried as the inclusive Christian ministry with House of Rainbow brings me in contact with many people who are same gender loving, thousands of people around the world just like me.
“Above all I have encountered God with unimaginable love.
“To be rejected by family hurts, especially parent and children.
“I had to block another family member and unapologetically shared with another, who is willing to listen.
“Since I came out as gay, I have thought several times of taking my own life, the rejection cuts deep into my heart and soul, but knowing Christ and believing in an awesome God has been a better option.
“To be able, on a daily basis tell gay people God love us just the way we are is a humbling experience and I thank God for calling me.

“GAY means God Adores You, God Accepts You, God Affirms You.
“Jeremiah 1:5 – Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.
“Psalm 139:14 – I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
“I am not ashamed to be gay, I regret not knowing better before I got married to a woman in 1991, thank God I was divorced by 1994. There are many millions of stories only if we pay attention.
“I thought I will share this, I apologise if this is uncomfortable. But I needed to share. God bless you. Jide Macaulay.”

Religion / Some People Are Causing Rift Between Buhari And Me – Fr. Mbaka by copley: 2:48pm On Jun 30, 2016
Enugu Catholic Priest, the Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, said Thursday that some Nigerians were trying to cause disaffection between hiMbaka said contrary to earlier media reports that he made negative predictions concerning the President’s ill health, he merely alluded to the reported claims by doctors.
He said Nigerian doctors had expressed fears over the chances of President Muhammadu Buhari recovering from his illness.‎ But, according to him, he prayed against that.
The priest, who is in charge of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria, spoke through his media Chief, Barr Ike Maximus Ugwuoke.
According to him, “‎our attention has been drawn to a report in a section of the media alleging that Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria said that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has slim chances of surviving from his ill health.
“The true fact is that there were media reports, making fuss about Mr President’s health and insinuating Mr President‘s slim chances of recovering from his ill health, published immediately the president went on vacation.
“Fr Mbaka referring to the said media report during his prayers for the sick in the ministry prayed with the worshippers of the ministry for Mr President’s healing and health after which there were lots of testimonies from the sick that were healed of blindness, elephantiasis, deafness, cancer, tumor and all other diverse healings at the end of the prayer session.”
He quoted Mbaka as saying: “They say the sickness is E.N.T. When it affects, the ear, it affects the nose and affects the neck. We pray for our President and any one that is suffering such a dangerous disease.
“We lift our healing hands for divine healing upon our president. Wherever he is, may he be healed in Jesus name.
“The doctors in Nigeria are nursing fear that he may not survive but we have a healing God. His name is specialist in impossibilities.”
He added that some ‎persons were nose-diving in the affairs of the ministry with a view to causing unnecessary rift between the ministry and the presidency.
