Hi @TheCongo2,

Please I am going to Manitoba (Winnipeg), my first license was issued in 2015 after two years of waiting, please advise if I will be able to get driver licence class 5F.
TheCongo2:

Yesterday I took a Nigerian couple to a DriveTest Center to get their Ontario driver's licenses.
The couple had landed in Canada last week and was introduced to me by a Nairaland friend who had also landed last week with his family.

My Nairaland friend has lived in France before and has a French driver's license. Therefore, he was given a full G Ontario license without undergoing any testing. As a result of his G license, he is only paying $165 monthly on his car insurance which is very cheap comparing to what a lot of newcomers are playing.

As for the couple that I took to the DriveTest Center, they had to apply for their G1 Ontario license before moving to G2 or Full G license.
This is where the FRSC letter comes into play. (I will come back with more details about our trip to the DriveTest Center)

To answer your question, according to the Nigerian couple, only the FRSC office in Abuja can issue the FRSC letter. However, you need NOT to travel to Abuja to get the FRSC letter. You can apply for it from anywhere in Nigeria.

To get the FRSC letter, You can follow the following steps that the couple had learned from a Nigerian-Canadian Whatsapp group:

1st step - Send an email with your driver's license details to the FRSC Abuja Office requesting a FRSC letter or driving record.
You are more likely NOT to receive a reply from the FRSC Abuja office.

2nd step- Follow up your email by contacting this Abuja FRSC Employee (Sule - phone number 2348033795031)
Sule will access the FRSC Database and will write for you the FRSC letter.
I was also told that the Service provided by Sule is free of charge . The only money you will send to him is for the shipment of the FRSC letter to you.

Bonne chance

Congratulations!!!

Stonebreaker01:
Finally, the Eagle has landed!
it's PPR!

Hubby and I can finally have a fantastic night's rest grin , I had a strong belief that part 5 will not end without my PPR testimony and it didn't.

Timeline below

Decision to travel March 2017 ( Was single then)
IELTS with BC April 2017
IELTS was passed at first attempt 9,8,8,7.5
ECA took about 6 months between NASU strike and IQAS
Got married in Dec 2017 and joined the pool as a couple with me being the PA
Hubby was on the journey before we met, had IELTS and ECA already
CRS score 477
ITA was JAN 5
AOR March 29
Proof of fund was FD which was maturing in 2 months and the balance was from my savings account.
Med passed April 12
Then the wait began ...............

Ordered 3 GCMS notes in between... 3rd yet to arrive
1st and 2nd had similar info note, one of my job references wasn't used so points dropped to 452 but was still good, so I didnt bother about CSE.
Visa office: initially London, moved to kyiv in August.

Started raising CSE and sending mails to Kyiv after 180 days post AOR and didn't really get very helpful feedback except to keep checking profile.
1st Ghost Update 16th Oct
2nd Oct, Kyiv contacted my office to confirm my employment status, HR replied same day.
5th Oct, status changed to NA
6th Oct, changed back to IP1

2nd Ghost update 8th Oct at about 2pm
9th Oct, status changed to IP2 about 2pm
Then at 3:45pm I got an email from CIC, opened my account and behold Passport Request Message, I was alone at the time, I didn't even know how to behave cheesy

We have been under a lot of pressure to get PPR so we can land in Canny before our baby who is on the way arrives or airline refuse to carry me lol. I just want to say a big thank you to God who makes all things beautiful in its time and a big thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I discovered this thread about 3 months after applying and every PPR testimony shared really encouraged me to be hopeful.

God bless you all.

I need the contact too. sent you a PM.

thank you.

Yes, you will. The prices are fair but the quality may not be as good as the Yaba ones. If you want, I can give you a contact. The jackets and parka we got from Yaba are serving us well.
