Politics / Re: What Did Igbos Contribute To APC To Warrant Igbo Presidency In 2023? by CorrectHead: 3:06pm On Jan 24, 2018 |
I pity both the op and every common man in Nigeria! What has common Yoruba men gained so specially from 8-year rule by their Son? What has common Huasa men gained so specially from this current government? What has common Igbo men gained so specially from the government of Goodluck Johnathan and that of Obasanjo who featured many Igbos in their cabinet? We had our brother Soludo as the CBN Governor, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala as the finance minister, Alison Madueke as Petroleum Minister and many others. Our problem is how we can get leaders, free from nepotism, bigotry, corruption and all the vices that are bedeviling Nigeria as a nation. In other words, the masses (not minding the tribe) are constantly being marginalized! When we complain on tribal lines, we are only agitating against the marginalization of our politicians and believe me, we are crying more than the bereaved because they are "not complaining". (We say that Hausas are marginalizing us, but if I ask you who mostly shines your shoes, serves as your gate-man and lives in abject poverty, you will tell me they are Hausas! If I ask you again, who marginalizes you, you will say Hausas.) Let us try to pity ourselves! Let us try to identify our problem and our common enemy and then channel our strength correctly! 3 Likes |

Business / Sampriestley Entrepreneurship Grant: Vote For These Reasons by CorrectHead: 6:04pm On Dec 18, 2017 |
Sampriestley Entrepreneurship Grant For simple explanation, Gbemisola Bamiduro is currently competing for above-mentioned $1000 grant. By a fair guess, she is the only African in the competition; and a Nigerian and Yoruba by tribe. For the inquisitive folks, she is just a wife to a good friend of mine. Now, in other not to bore you with further narratives, these are the reasons why I think she should win this grant (probably with double portion): 1. Let's Prove Our Unity Anyway, we have showed countless times that, though our tribal hostility seem to be legendary, we still got our backs when we face common enemies. Actually, I am Igbo man and here I am campaigning for a Yoruba lady. After she wins, I wouldn't mind turning again to call her Afonja and after then our sweet bashing continues (Side Note: This is just a joke (talking about bashing). I am educated and when I refer to education, I am not talking about certificate! Education enhances your ability to think. And if anybody can think deeply, you will know you never chose your tribe and (to a large extent) your religion. If (being, say, an Igbo) you can close your eyes and imagine yourself being born an Hausa man, will you be happy if you are called derogatory names just because of your place of birth which you never chose yourself and vise-versa? You are a Christian, largely because you were born a Christian. You are a Muslim largely because you were born one. Though one is supposed to encourage others to see the light and still be open to hear other person's side (especially as it is of eternal consequence), it is ignorance to curse, insult, kill and maim others just because of a religion you would have ordinarily been fighting if you were born into a different faith) 2. We Are Third World Country: A White philanthropist decided to help entrepreneurs with a grant, these Europeans come dey drag am with us! For what kwanu? Just ordinary one thousand dollars o na im dey no fit leave for us? They said we are third world country, we no come argue am? In short, our leaders wholeheartedly accepted it on our behalf and are even taking sleepless nights and working tirelessly (looting and re-looting ) all in a bid to take a leap and land us to a fifth world country category. Abeg, in their country, is it easy to loot, and such big that it can only be you are sick in the head before you can achieve such? I mean, is it easy loot even the money for the aged pensioners, the blind, the crippled, the sick, the Internally Displaced Persons, even that of the dead and the unborn (only to die with billions still in your account)? So, after all these tiring efforts of our leaders, then this small benefit (grant) that should naturally accrue to us as an aspiring fifth world country, they come dey drag am with us! Please I no wan vex o! Just warn them! 3. Let's Prove Nairaland is the Biggest Forum in the World Yes, that Nairaland is the biggest forum in Africa is no longer a news, but we want to empirically show that it is equally the biggest forum world-wide! Abeg, who want contest am? Mek im show face! Wetin? We want to make the difference to be so huge that the program handling the voting will go against the rule of "garbage in, garbage out" as to go nuts and declare our Gbemisola Bamiduro winner 5 times and be sentenced to 5 grants that will run concurrently. 4. Add Yours I think I have run out of reasons but you can just add yours here! Remember it is Gbemisola Bamiduro Please click this: https://sampriestley.com/entrepreneurship-grant-winter-voting/ Thank you! |
Religion / Re: The Middle Path by CorrectHead: 9:33pm On Dec 07, 2017 |
sukkot: In the quoted verse, try to know who was speaking. She (the wife of King Nebuchadnezzar, the father of the King) was only talking based on her knowledge. She has always been exposed to gods and can only refer to what she knew. That is why the Bible remains authentic, if it was forged by people like you, efforts would have been made to replace gods with God. But it would have made no sense because she doesn't know of Yahweh. But we know she was just as ignorant as sukkot |
