Good evening my people in the UK.
It’s the same generic message the scammer sends to everybody, please run and don’t even try to pay through Airbnb. It’s fake he sent two emails with different email addresses to me word for word.

Good day everyone, please I would appreciate your response and guidance as regards this because I don't want to make any error that will affect the visa application.

We are newly married (legally) and I'm applying as a dependant on my husband, my question is,

Can I apply for the visa using my HUSBAND'S surname?
NOTE my international passport and TB certificate
bears my father's name. All change of name processes have been concluded.

If they bear your maiden name, kindly stick to it, the valid name used is the name on your international passport. Since it is what you have also used for your TB Certificate, please continue with it. Your marriage certificate will be proof of relationship with your spouse.

Really, not all schools waive IELTS for nursing/social work students. Get your fact right sir/ma'am before you use the word "You Can" next time. Thanks

Did you make any attempt to write to them about it? I agree that most school’s irrespective of the course you are applying for( including nursing) require IELTS as a proof for English Proficiency, but if you write to them with a piece of evidence, either your WAEC/NECO result or from your University showing your BSc was taught in English and they are convinced, in most cases they would wave it for you despite being written boldly on their website.

Sometimes we need to do better. This thread is here to assist each and everyone with answers to relevant questions. Please, let's stop making the thread unnecessarily long with questions that we have answers to.

Meanwhile, has anyone been interviewed @UCLAN for MSc Adult Nursing?

Yes I have, there is a WhatsApp group. And I can also put you through. Whichever you prefer, hurry as there is a 15% discount for the 1st week or so which would end on Friday I think. I don't think we are allowed to post number so maybe you can send a mail.

If you're going for birthing no need to panic, it's a blessing in disguise by the time the visa comes you will be half way through already even if you give birth at the airport your child will still be brazillian grin... It will end in praises

That made me laugh

TechSpot:
The Brazil application is straight forward and you don't need any agent to help you with anything because they have no upper hand when it comes to aoplying for Brazilian VIVIS... I can see most of them have stopped advertising it on their IG pages too.

I wanted to use apsom then someone here told me that they've casted so I paid consultancy fee of 10k to wakanow and then they sent me same form that I already downloaded free from the Brazilian embassy site na so I vex start my application on my own.

Just gather all documents as listed on the site.

Fill the online and offline forms
Compile all your documents which should include:
Valid international passport
6 months bank statement with reference letter address to the Brazilian embassy
2 passport photograph
Original documents of your business documents or
Employment letter, pay slips, leave letter
Letter of introduction
Flight reservation
Hotel reservation
Go to Stanbic bank and pay 36k collect teller
Carry all the documents to Brazil embassy within 10am to 1pm Mondays - Thursday.
Submit

Unless you are a minor (under 16 or 18), there no need for birth certificate. There's equally no need for:
Land documents
House receipts
Tax clearance
Family pictures
Travel pictures
etc.

Well said Oga. Very accurate.

Hello Everyone,

I have been a silent reader, read every single page, i have a question to those who got invited for interview weeks after submission of documents.
Is it that you and/or your spouse submitted via courier and you were not physically at the embassy for submission when documents were submitted.

@afelouz @aumeehn

No, even if you were physically present, they will still request for an interview especially for your wife, I think it’s just for them to know if she is pregnant.

Thank you so much for this information, I really do appreciate.

MrBrownJay1:

Floripa is a seasonal island...during the summer month (nov til march) the city quadruple in population and gets all the tourist from SP, RIo and Argentina therefore lots of tourism jobs (hotel/tour guides/sales etc) but as soon as the season is over, then its right back to being "boring" as a city IMHO.
it also really depends on what languages you speak... if you speak Portuguese and English then you can easily find a job in a hostel/restaurant/bars or better yet start a small biz selling something original on the beach (although the sun aint for the faint of heart) but you will be surprised to see how much money you can make from buying a cooler and selling cold beer on the beach. depending on your background, you may also go to the foreign companies established in Floripa (or Brazilian companies that do business outside of Brasil) to drop your CV (you got nothing to lose). go to all the major hotels on the island to drop your cv and same with the countless hostels. most tourist stay closer to the beaches of Canasvieiras or Campeche while the city center is on the opposite side of the island, so you have a very wide area to drop CVs, but stay positive and always try to speak Portuguese even if you dont know much, it will show that you wanna learn and are trying. if you dont speak Spanish then i suggest you learn it if you want to stay in Floripa longer. btw the state of Santa Catarina is huge, and you should check the job ads for nearby cities, like Camboriu/Lages and further away.

check websites such as INDEED .com.br, TRABALHABRASIL .com.br, FLORIPAEMPREGOS .net, OLX or good ol' Floripa Facebook groups

meet locals, make friends with the locals as they know more about whats happening than us, and may be of more help than anything we may think of.

just cheer for the country that makes your heart beat the fastest, it will be a fantastic day regardless. i went to the France/Nigeria match during the WC in Brazil (I am born and bred from Paris) and although my heart was equally on both sides, i wore my French shirt and partied with my Naija brothas and sistas at the stadium, like there was no tomorrow (even though most Brazilians were cheering for Nigeria). if Nigeria ever eliminates Brazil in a WC match in Brazil, then unless you wan die, i suggest you jejely remove your jersey and quietly go home without celebrating.

Thank you so much for your untimely efforts in answering all questions posted on this thread, I have read this thread over and over again but I still have a question. Do you have any idea of the current thriving jobs or businesses in Florianopolis precisely, I’ve checked online, saw mostly English teaching jobs and tour guide jobs. If you don’t mind can you kindly tell me other types of jobs or businesses that might boom their. Thank you.

Yea i can understand. But it is best to go for PR because it is the best way of ensuring that you don’t go through all these visa issues again next time you want to give birth in Brazil. PR is somehow an assurance that your future children will be Brazilians at least. It is worth the fight.

Unfortunately, most if my friends who gave birth heard about Brazil late in their pregnancies so they came in a rash. They had no time to plan well. So it will definitely take them longer to get their citizenship. Most people think of US or Canada when it comes to giving birth. But they will make it at the end. They will all wave the beautiful Brazilian flag one day. At least before the next world cup lol. I wonder who i will support if Nigeria and Brazil should face each other at the World cup grin

Cheers
