Phones / Re: My Review Of Mtn Data Plans! by crimefighter: 10:41am On Aug 22, 2017
JideSM:

Hi Ksslib,

First off, that was a witty post. You sure have writing skill. cool

However, I want to shed light on how you can effectively manage your data. Truth is that with the advent of higher technology and thus, higher (smarter*) smart phones, data consumption on these phones would definitely be higher than what WE consumed back then. Some of the popular/common apps that have a high data consumption rate are: twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and Playstore/Appstore. I'd explain in detail below how you can manage your data while using these apps.

DATA USAGE GUIDE
Step 1: How to reduce data usage on Facebook app.

· Go to Facebook app
Click the Facebook menu option
· Select App settings
· Select Autoplay
· Click ‘Never Autoplay Videos’
- The reason for selecting ‘Never Autoplay Videos’ is to stop autoplay of videos while reading through the News feeds.
- The longer you spend on the News feeds, the higher your data consumption as the Facebook app automatically downloads every image on the page.

Step 2: How to reduce data usage on Instagram.
· Go to Instagram app
· Select Profile
· Click on Menu Option
· Select Cellular Data Use
· Select Use Less Data
- The reason for selecting ‘Use Less Data’ is to reduce the quality of videos and pictures.
- The longer you spend on the Story feeds, the higher your data consumption as the Instagram app automatically downloads every image on the page.

Step 3: How to reduce data usage on Whatsapp.

· Go to Whatsapp
· Click on the Menu button
· Select Settings
· Click on Data Usage
· Under Media auto-download select When using mobile data
· Un-check the boxes the click ok
- The reason for un-checking the boxes is to reduce the amount of data used in downloading every file received·
Under Call Settings check the box for Low data usage
- The reason for un-checking the boxes is to reduce the amount of data used while making Whatsapp call/video.

Step 4: How to reduce data usage on Google Play.

· Go to Google Play
· Select the Menu button
· Click on Settings
· Under General, select Auto-update apps
· Select Do not auto-update apps or Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only
- When you select Do not auto-update apps, no app will be updated automatically.
- When you select Auto-update over Wi-Fi only, apps will automatically update once connected via Wi-Fi. In the event where you share data via MiFi/Hotspot connectivity, Auto-update app over Wi-Fi only should be switched to Do not auto-update apps.

Thirdly, it is also important to note that doing nothing on your phone while your data is ON enables RUNNING apps on your device to connect automatically. For example, Whatsapp/Facebook/Twitter messages would drop even when you are not with your phone. Also, when you turn on your data connection, all apps that have pending internet transactions (e.g messages from social media sites) immediately drop. Thus, your data is deducted according to the volume of instant messages. This is where background data setting comes into play. If you go to your data usage settings and click on any of the apps showing the data used, you'd see data consumed listed as: Foreground and Background. Most often, background data is usually high. If you wish to turn off background data, see below.

How to turn off background data.

· From Menu go to Settings
· Select Data usage/Data Traffic management
· Click on the App
· Check the Restrict background data box
- This will prevent apps from running on the background when phone is not in use. However, once background data is switched off, notifications will not drop in real time and will be pended until the user accesses the app.

Finally, should you/anyone have issues regarding use of MTN line, I run a customer care thread here where your issues can be addressed and resolved. See link ---> https://www.nairaland.com/1379574/mtn-customer-care-thread/

Hmmm.............quite true. I can confirm step 1 and Step 3. But you see ehn 4G is a blessing and also a curse at the same time smiley. e dey fast like anything especially MTN 4G

Investment / Re: Exposed: How MMM 'number 1 Guider' Collected Over N1B Within 1year (photos) by crimefighter: 1:59pm On Dec 14, 2016
ExAngel007:
Lots of Nigerians who had the hopes of cashing out from MMM
Nigeria to enjoy the yuletide season woke up yesterday, Tuesday, December 13, 2016, to the shocking news of their mavros being frozen till January 2017.

However, there are new claims that a Nigerian is the mastermind
of MMM Nigeria contrary to earlier reports that the money doubling scheme was brought to the country by one Ernest
Chigozie Mbanefo, a South African-based pastor who was once with the Living Faith Church A.K.A Winners Chapel, in Nigeria.
According to Somto Monanu, a social media enthusiast, his name
is Chuddy Anayo and he is popularly referred to as ”The MMMnumber one Guider”.

Read more below:

"A visit to the MMM Nigeria testimonial page you will agree with
me that Oga chuddy haf finish all una money. According to
sources this Chuddy is the head Admin of MMM he is the one
who brought mmm into nigeria he is the one who runs things at
MMM just the way Mark Zuckerberg runs Facebook, People fail to
realise that a Website cannot create itself a human being has to
see through its day to day activities and chuddy is the one behind
mmm and the same chuddy is also a participant of this same
MMM and this same chuddy is also the number one Guider on
this same MMM dont you already see that there is already A Red
flag…

well below is screen shot of money he has been collecting
and displaying publicly only god knows the one he took in
Private… he even collected some money a whopping N6M on the
8th of december chai oga chuddy will paint his village red this
December"

Also, a Twitter user Amadi Noel (@KingNoelC) is claiming that a
Nigerian by the name Chuddy Anayo Ugorji is the man who is
responsible for the entrance of MMM into Nigeria.

In a twitter
thread, Amadi Noel stated that Chuddy Anayo Ugorji allegedly
brought MMM into Nigeria in 2015 after striking a deal with some Phillipinos to create “MMM Nigeria names”.

According to the thread, the Ponzi scheme was done by Chuddy with the help of some white people in Dubai. He also tweeted the
phone number of Chuddy Anayo Ugorji, his wife and other Nigerians he identified as the “cartel.”

And if you are totally lost for words, we assure you you cannot go wrong with El Nathan John’s tweet here:

If MMM Nigeria are as smart as I think they are, this is not final. It will come back January, restore confidence, then crash big time.

I totally agree with this. Emphasis on 'It will come back January, restore confidence, then crash big time'

Investment / Re: BREAKING: MMM Nigeria Crashes, Freezes Participants’ Money - Breezereporters by crimefighter: 12:59pm On Dec 14, 2016
Ynaira:
Barely 24 hours after MMM founder, Sergey Mavrodi wrote an open letter to Nigerian Authorities, criticising the later’s constant attacks on the ponzi scheme, BreezeReporters can authoritatively reports that MMM Nigeria has crashed.

The administrators of the scheme, early Tuesday, announced freezing of participants’ monies for one month.

In a letter posted on the scheme’s website, MMM said; “As usual, in the New Year season, the System is experiencing heavy workload.

Confirming the severity of constant attacks on the controversial scheme, the statement said “moreover, it has to deal with the constant frenzy provoked by the authorities in the mass media.

“Hence, on the basis of the above mentioned, from now on all confirmed Mavro will be frozen for a month”, the statement partly reads.

Mavro is the general name used to describe participants’ money in the system.

It added; “The reason for this measure is evident. We need to prevent any problems during the New Year season, and then, when everything calms down, this measure will be cancelled. (Which we will definitely do.:-))

Urging participants not to panic, MMM said that “the things are still going well; the participants feel calm; everyone gets paid – as you can see, there haven’t been any payment delays or other problems yet – but!.. it is better to avoid taking risk.:-)) (Moreover, there are almost three weeks left to the New Year.)

By implication, over three million Nigerian participants as claimed by the founder, Mavrodi, who were planning to withdraw their money ahead of the yuletide season will have to wait for one month.

Breezreporters.com recalls that similar scenario had played out in Zimbabwe and South Africa, where participants money were frozen for certain period, pausing the system, only to return with new adjustment in its terms.

Read full letter as obtained by Breezereporters.

One-Month Freezing of Confirmed Mavros

Dear members!

As usual, in the New Year season the System is experiencing heavy workload. Moreover, it has to deal with the constant frenzy provoked by the authorities in the mass media. The things are still going well; the participants feel calm; everyone gets paid – as you can see, there haven’t been any payment delays or other problems yet – but!.. it is better to avoid taking risk.:-)) (Moreover, there are almost three weeks left to the New Year.)

Hence, on the basis of the above mentioned, from now on all confirmed Mavro will be frozen for a month.

The reason for this measure is evident. We need to prevent any problems during the New Year season, and then, when everything calms down, this measure will be cancelled. (Which we will definitely do.:-))

We hope for your understanding,
Administration

Guys na wa oo, it seems the recession is biting harder. I have been hearing that all telcos may increase data price or reduce the data on current prices.
I don’t know how long it’s going to be, but my plan is to make use of the accumulating validity period on my data sub to subscribe ahead in order to gather as much data as I can.

For example, on my mtn line, I intend to do 110 to 131, that’s 3.5GB for 30 days at N2000. I fit close eye do N6000 worth, that's 10.5GB spread for 90days to be on the safe side.

What do you think guys? For real the panic buy is worth it for me because I don't know how much data will be chopped off the current prices.

Don't say you were not told oo..

Wow!!! Just seeing this. Like seriously? data increase this time. Na to accumulate data be that o

That Mavrodi man is the most intelligent that ever lived, not even Einstein . Those who understand how it was designed and works will definitely agree with me to some degree.

The government is kicking against it cause it wants the masses to always remain below the poverty line and they can manipulate them anytime any day to do their dirty work.

Imagine a politician telling a youth to go and carry ballot box for 500k while the youngman can comfortably make this amount with no life risk from the comfort of his home.

Imagine what will happen if MMM stays for four years without hindrance, honestly, millionaires will be made but am just afraid of the probable result to a serious inflation.
