Romance / How Do You Make Your Loved Ones Birthday Very Special? by Cvrsti(m): 8:57am On Mar 20, 2022
Birthdays only come once in a year right? And it's important to make those 365 days count with a very special, memorable activity or action.
I strongly believe birthdays is one great opportunity to show your loved ones how much you care.
So, I would like to learn, besides wishes or casual presents, how else do you think one can make the birthday of his/her loved ones special.
Let's make it more practical, what special thing do YOU, or would YOU want to do for your loved ones on their birthday?

If you find a brand new LG G7 smartphone, how much are you willing to pay for it?
The LG G7 is a 2018 flagship with the following key specs:
✓SD 845 chipset (2.8ghz with adreno 630 graphics), 4gb RAM, 64GB UFS storage: can play all 2020 demanding games with ease and also breeze through all your apps.
✓16+13+8MP AI camera
✓6.1 inch IPS RGBW screen (excellent LCD that could rival an OLED).
✓3000mah Li-Po battery (not the best but still okay).
✓Parts are very easy to find.

So, lemme know what you think? You interested? How much are you willing to pay?

Phones / How About A Cheap, Dedicated COVID-19 Data Sub? by Cvrsti(m): 3:39pm On Mar 20, 2020
Dear ISPs, MTN, GLO, Airtel, 9mobile, it is obvious that the COVID-19 pandemic has kept a lot of people indoors. Majority of them, since they don't go out, retire to their smartphones and laptops. How about a cheap, dedicated data sub to make their time worthwhile, keep their mind off COVID-19 panic, keep them indoors. Maybe the FG or appropriate authorities can look up to this, subsidise data sub, even better, free data! I'm positive it will go a long way in keeping the people indoors, their minds at rest-occupied with their phones and ultimately reduce the spread of COVID-19. What do you guys think?
Education / What Lies At The Deepest Point Of The Earth - The Challenger Deep? by Cvrsti(m): 2:42pm On Mar 07, 2020
Have you ever been in deep waters? How cold was it? How dark? How pressured was it? How about the deepest point of the deepest waters?

The Challenger Deep is the deepest known point in the Earth, with a depth of about 10,902 to 10,929 m by direct measurement from deep-diving submersibles, remotely operated vehicles and benthic landers and slightly more by sonar bathymetry.

What then lies at the deepest, coldest, darkest point in the Earth? Here are three of the most bizzare creatures of the Challenger deep.

1. Zombie worms
Yes, real life zombies, but not men yet.
Officially, it's called the Osedax, and its name, as well as its feathery appearance, make it seem like a plant from a Dr. Seuss book. But this worm also goes by fiercer monikers such as bone worm or zombie worm, and it can consume the rock-hard bones of some of Earth's biggest animals, including whales.
The zombie worm secretes acids to help it access the inner contents of those dead whale bones. Then, it uses symbiotic bacteria to convert the bone's proteins and fats into nutrients that serve as its food. Its feathery "branches" wiggle in the water, pulling in oxygen to keep the worm alive.

2. Frilled shark
Yes, there are sharks too, but, not the megalodon, yet. These terrific creatures have the rounded body of an eel paired with a flattened head that would like right at home atop a terrestrial dinosaur. Perhaps that's fitting, because like many sharks, this species has ancient roots that extend back nearly 80 million years.
The shark derives its name from six rows of frilly gills that grace its body, which grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) long. Just as notably, the shark wields more than 20 rows of wicked, trident-shaped teeth that will tear into any bit of flesh that passes near them.

3. Seadevil anglerfish
Ever heard of the Tasmanian devil? This fish is nothing like it! This is the devil incarnate himself. It's hard not to start with the seadevil's looks. As its name strongly hints, this is a fish that could've swum up straight from hell, with its misshapen body, razorlike teeth and cold death stare. Although they're bizarre and scary looking, at least they're not huge. Females generally top out at 8 inches (20 centimeters) long. The males are much smaller, at maybe an inch (2.5 centimeters) long. Remember Godzilla, that intimidating light it brings out from its body? This fish does that too-bioluminescence!
Note: the challenger is yet to be properly explored. Even the actual depth is not known yet, so who knows? You could find the megalodon sometime! If you know of any challenger deep creature, kindly drop them in the comments section and spread the knowledge.

Health / "Packaging Food In Polyethene (nylon) Bags Can Cause Cancer" - NAFDAC. by Cvrsti(m): 8:45pm On Mar 05, 2020
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration Control (NAFDAC) has warned that nylon bags (polyethene) causes cancer. NAFDAC further appealed to Nigerian citizens to stop using the material for food packaging.
The Director-General of NAFDAC, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye spoke with some journalists concerning the issue on Monday, 2nd March, 2020 in Abuja. She said in his conversation, “packaging of pap in nylon is not encouraging; green leaves are all over the place, leaf is the best thing to use for packaging item and it must be clean." She went on, “Nylon is not good for packaging hot food because the heat will make the nylon leak chemicals, it must be discouraged.” She made the people understand that plastic materials usually have a chemical, Bisphenol A (BPA) which can actually cause cancer. She promised, “We are doing a study in our labs on different packaging of food, especially on nylon. The outcome will be out shortly."
She also cautioned against the use of aspirin in the purification of water, explaining that it amounts to adding salicylic acid into the water one intends to drink. She continued, “Drinking water that contains salicylic acid can cause erosion of the intestine, cancer, ulcer and many more damages to human health. "The treatment of water with chlorine and alum must be minimal and must not exceed the required amount."

You can check it out for more information. You can also suggest other alternatives apart from "leaves"-that's trivial.

Exactly! I don't think it can even compete with The G6 or Z Force in terms of raw processing power-gaming, cellular radio etc. Camera and battery life might be better.

Actually, they do. If you get a good one that's actually "UK" used. I use a UK used Nokia 6 and the battery is a charm. I find that putting everything-battery, camera, performance, etc into consideration, they're more than worth the cash. Especially if you don't have much but need a really good phone.

Are your tired of your old phone? In search of a new, more powerful one but low on cash. I bet these beauties will definitely satisfy you!
I was surfing the internet, hoping to find a cheap device when I stumbled across these flagship smartphones. Not so old, but really powerful. With powerful Snapdragon 835 chipsets (same CPU in the galaxy s8), these babies could easily outperform your 2020 midrangers, including the nightly redmi note 8 pro.
Note: I actually confirmed the prices both online and in stores.
Here they are:

1. LG V30
The first smartphone on this list is the LG V30.
The LG V30 is a 2017 flagship phone for LG electronics. Make no mistake, 2017, even 2016 flagships easily outperform 2020 mid range tecno and infinix phones. Here are the key features of this phone:
Snapdragon 835 CPU (same CPU in the Samsung Galaxy S8)
4 to 6 GB of RAM
64 to 128 GB of storage
16+8+12 MP cameras
Bang and Olufsen audio
Beautiful OLED display
Has up to Android 9
Fast finger print scanner
3300 mAh battery
Fast adreno 540 GPU for high graphics games
The LG V30 price ranges from 45,000 to 50,000 naira.

2. HTC U11
The U11 is HTC's 2017 flagship. It has a beautiful, touch sensitive chasis and classic 2017 flagship specs. Key features include:
Snapdragon 835 CPU
4 GB of RAM
64 to 128 GB of storage
12 MP ultra pixel cameras
Super LCD 5 display
Has up to Android 9
Fast finger print scanner
The U11 price ranges from 35,000 to 45,000 naira.

3. LG G6
Again, LG is making this list. That's because their phones are usually awesome and cheap!
The LG G6 is a 2016 flagship but make no mistake, the Snapdragon 821 in the G6 can easily outperform your infinix note 5. Here are the key specs:
Snapdragon 821 CPU
4 GB of RAM
64 or 32 GB of storage
16+8 MP cameras
Beautiful IPS LCD HDR display
Has up to Android 8
Fast finger print scanner
3300 mAh battery
The LG G6 price ranges from 25,000 to 35,000 naira. This phone can run PUBG and other demanding games efficiently.

4. Google pixel XL
The is Google's first phone. Elegant, fast, classy, this phone is the dream. Key features include:
Snapdragon 820 CPU with adreno 530 GPU
4 GB of RAM
64 to 128 GB of storage
12 MP cameras
Beautiful OLED display
Has up to Android 9
Fast finger print scanner
High quality microphones for Google Assistant
3450 mAh battery
The Pixel XL price ranges from 35,000 to 40,000 naira.

5. Moto Z force
Yes, Motorola made this list with their Z series. Classic 2016 flagship specs with beautiful OLED display and good cameras make it an ideal smartphone. Key specs include:
