You must pass immigration in UAE before 12:00 AM of 'valid until' date. So if valid until date is 20 June, then your temporary entry permit expires after 11:59 PM of 19 June. Anything from 12:00 AM on 20 June, deportation straight. Most airlines might not let you board sef on 19 June from naija, as it's a risk for them. Especially if not direct flight. That's unfortunately true, our reputation preceeds us. Try Emirates NBD. Most banks will open an account for you if you agree to do a salary transfer with them. I can link you up with a sales representative at ENBD, HenryCavill: |

FYI... Certificate of Good Conduct is called Police Character Certificate (PCC) in Nigeria. It may have another name in other countries e.g. Police Clearance Certificate. As far as I know, you can only get the PCC at CID Headquarters, Alagbon, Lagos. Thereafter, it should be attested by MOFA Abuja and UAE Embassy Abuja before coming to UAE. Please see below for more clarification on the new law coming into effect February 4. http://m.gulfnews.com/amp/news/uae/government/conduct-certificate-must-for-new-job-visas-from-february-4-1.2154243?__twitter_impression=true Cypha8: 2 Likes

FYI... For those that might need to attest federal marriage certificate (Form-E) for spouse sponsorship, UAE embassy will ask for a court-sworn affidavit of marriage. The affidavit must have the husband and wife's passport photographs on it, both stamped by the court. The affidavit will also be attested by UAE embassy, and paid for. As usual, both documents must first be attested by the MOFA Abuja. Best wishes... Disclaimer: Information accurate as at 29 December, 2017 |

FYI... From February 4: Certificate of good conduct must for UAE work visa applicants Expatriates applying for a job in the UAE must first obtain a certificate of good conduct in order to be issued a work permit, a UAE government body has announced. The new rule will take effect from February 4, 2018. The official news agency WAM reported on Monday that the UAE Coordination Committee approved a Cabinet Resolution issued in 2017 stipulating that expatriates who apply for work visa in the UAE must first obtain a certificate of good conduct — issued by either by his home country or the country where he lived for five years. The certificate must then be attested by UAE diplomatic missions, or oversees Customer Happiness Centres at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The committee, which consists of members representing relevant UAE government bodies, said the move comes as part of efforts to create a safer society. The rule also stems from the UAE’s belief in the importance of protecting community members and ensuring that they enjoy a safe life, making the UAE as one of the most secure countries in the world. The committee clarified that the certificate is not required from those who come to the country on a visit or tourist visa. nattybanta: nattybanta: Wow many thanks nattybanta for the detailed response, it answers my 2nd question. Now I know what to do regarding documentation I have a reasonable job offer and my coy is doing my residence visa which I will enter UAE with. Your response alluded that I should send my spouse a visit visa which she would use to enter UAE before I sponsor her. Does this mean I need to first go to UAE before she joins me? OR can she accompany me on a visit visa while I enter with my residence visa, then I sponsor her as soon as my medicals are done and my work permit stamped on passport? That's why I intend doing 3 months visa for her, this should be enough time to get salary certificates et al. If it's possible to go with her from the onset, which do you recommend? Thanks... |

Good day house. Please can someone tell me how to sponsor spouse in UAE? I have the following questions: 1. Should I first get a 3 months visa for my spouse and sponsor her on my work permit when we get to UAE. OR should I first go to UAE without my spouse and sponsor her after getting work permit stamped on passport? Please advise which is better? 2. Would I need to authenticate marriage certificate at MOFA and UAE embassy in Nigeria? Thank you... |

Cypha8: justi4jesu: I already got the MOFA Dubai authentication (UAE seal) back in mid-2013. I guess the steps has since changed to include UAE Embassy in Nigeria. Anyway my question is... 1) Is the authentication still valid or I have to do it again? 2) I authenticated my statement of result, does the UAE MOL still accept statement of result? Thanks... |
Travel / Re: QATAR And UAE GENERAL VISA ENQUIRIES PART 2 by Cypha8: 8:09pm On Sep 28, 2017 |
nattybanta: The steps then (4 years ago) was MOE and MOFA in Nigeria, Nigerian Embassy in Abu Dhabi, then Dubai MOFA. |

iphie25: IMO, you may choose to go ahead and apply with new ECA as long as your CRS score remain the same and/or above the cut-off for the EE draw you got your ITA! That's all it boils down to at the end of the day. FYI, I used a 10 month old job ref letter, and it flew. But the letter was dated after leaving the job. But since you said you did not get bank letter, maybe you should just let this one go. Best wishes... |

Uptosomething: Then I guess the option you are looking for would be through the Express Entry Federal Skilled Worker/Provincial Nominee Program depending on your score on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). You may refer to the step-by-step instructions below to familiarize yourself with the process and terminologies. FYI you most likely cannot apply through the CEC route, unless you've lived and worked in Canada?? You can always come back and ask the house for clarifications. Best wishes... EXPRESS ENTRY STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS! (Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program) 1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp AND calculate your CRS score here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp 2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language. How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp 3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an Education Credential Assessment. Details here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp 4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the National Occupation Classification (NOC) list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC. 5) When you have those in hand you create your express entry profile. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points. 6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following: a) Have your application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp b) Identify how you will provide proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp c) check out what is required for the police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the medical exam. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp e) contact previous and current employers about them providing job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count. f) research cities in the province(s) where you want to live. 22 Likes 7 Shares |
