Yes, I inputted £3k in d section on how much I am planning to spend personally and same £3k on how much my sponsor will give me. Is that where the problem lies?
I thought as much and it would appear that's where your problem lies. You could tell from the refusal letter that the ECO knew you had made a mistake - but their hands were tied. By entering that same amount twice, you have implied it's a £6k total budget, 50% of which would be paid by the applicant; an applicant whose documented finances don't support an ability to PERSONALLY spend that much on a holiday. The £3k belonged only in the sponsor's section 1 Like |

Processing took just 5 working days, normal application o, i didn’t pay for priority.. my sister did the application btw. I am still a student here currently in 500L How come a refusal notice barely five days after you posted this visa alert? Have I missed something here? |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by D1O(m): 10:22am On Oct 14, 2023 |
Khenney002: Please how do I tackle this, I am a still a student and I stated my sister will be the sponsor.
On face value, it seems you have also entered £3k in the section on how much you are planning to spend personally on the trip (perhaps also repeated this same amount in the section on how much your sponsor is giving you). Is that correct? By the way, I might be wrong, but did you not post a visa alert here just a couple of days ago? 2 Likes |

We are doing well, how is your own side? Another year has passed but our land is still where we bought it, free of all encumberances. I have gone ahead to settle the traditional rights settlement, elders fees, youths development levies and traditional rulers fees on some plots and got receipts for all my payments. I assume you have paid fully for your plot of land here, have you collected your land documents from me?
if you are ready to start developing your own plot, please contact me so I can show you the exact spot and you can start building on your land immediately. Thanks. Udo di. We are doing well too, thanks for asking. Yes, payment was made in full and documents collected. Estate development no easy. Did you eventually manage to gain any traction with the perimeter fencing and road clearing as proposed inside the estate? Any more plots still available? Ego ole? 1 Like |

1. I don't understand what you mean by story. 2. Value depends on the demand, and how readily the seller wants to sell. Spyder, Even yet another year has now also passed, so we've now entered the 5th year since you sold these plots. How far? |

True, but regardless of demand, every commercial item has an RRP. What is current RRP for these plots? How much are you selling/marketing/advertising them for at the moment? 2 Likes |

1. What is the current/latest story? 2. What is the current value of a plot in this "estate"? 1 Like |

Durability. The use in rental buildings is more frequent, as the house pass from tenant to tenant, there is an increased risk of damage because of carelessness. Concrete balustrades withstands the pressure of constant use more than metal or stainless rails which are more suited for private residential buildings. Thank you. Due to the durability, are they significantly more expensive than metal rails? |

That's rather odd. Below are my parents' timeline if that helps you in anyway. Even though yours was Lagos and theirs Abuja, I only post this since you've been told a decision has been made on your application since 30th May. Biometrics done in Abuja: 16/05 TLS email saying application sent to DMC: 16/05. Online tracking also updated as such "Application Received by DMC" ticked on portal: 17/05 Application despatched email: 8:02am Friday 07/06 Application received by TLS email: Friday 07/06 Application ready for collection email: Friday 07/06 Package handed to DHL by TLS as the folks stay in SE Nigeria: Friday 07/06. Passports delivered by DHL: Today, Monday 10/06. It might be worth popping round to TLS in person to ask for your passport or perhaps giving someone an LOA to go collect on your behalf? Just a sneaky feeling it's probably lying around somewhere at TLS. I hope this helps. All the best! Lunm:
I actually need to travel elsewhere, with the passport..that's the wahala. Yes, I'm told a decision was made since 30th May |

spyder880: Hello my good people, hello to you all who bought lands from my estate here at Akpuoga Nike, Enugu East LGA of Enugu state. This is an update on our push to develop this land as planned.
As the dry season starts, I plan to commence some forms of development activities on this land, but like my people will always say "enwere ihe ana ewepucha na any, tupu ataba anu"
And so we have to first obey the tradition of our people by doing the traditional rites settlement for this land, this an integral part of land acquisition process in Igboland. In this process, the buyers of a land and the sellers come together and eat a feast prepared jointly by the two parties. This will involve the provision of food items, lots of drinks, kola nuts and live animals to use in cooking a huge meal. Both parties usually call in friends, relatives and inlaws to witness the event and even partake in the feast. It's an opportunity for each person to know each other, and prepare a ground for mutually beneficial alliances.
The traditional value of "nri ani" cannot be overemphasized, and so I arranged with the family that sold me this land for a proper nri ani feast to authenticate the sale of this land to my company. Some of the Items Which I am supposed to provide will be concerted to cash. This whole ceremony will cost over N2m.
Enjoy the pictures of the event. ........ The rains are forecast to return circa mid-March. That is just 4-6 weeks away. But I'm sure you know that already. So this polite reminder is only because you have long and repeatedly vested a lot on this very dry season (with respect to providing the long overdue works in this estate that will enable your investors commence proposed developments). I am sure you will agree that while drinks, meals, felicitations and nri ani with the folks who sold you the land might all be well and good, they have no bearing on an investor's bottom line a this stage. As our people say, time is money. I salute you! |
