afan nnaji, i find your post very educative, i would really like to meet with you cos i have been carrying out research in having your own webhost business, the truth is this foreign based webhost really give suberb webhost and other interesting features, i have been using one for 3years now and they are very reliable, but i would want to have mine and offer all they offered me with same price, like unlimited bandwidth,unlimited email accounts etc

and he was happy with the result.the minimum i can develop a site for is 50k,because i know what im offering

First off, he doesn't know what I want done and secondly, he doesn't know if by charging 5K, he ends up losing money, profit-wise in the process. I would be very wary of such a mechanic.

A professional will usually start, even when pressured by a client, by saying, "let's leave off pricing till I get the necessary info from you. My job is to make sure you get the best bang for your money" or something like that. Then you start asking, "what is this site for? Will you provide graphics? When do you need the site? etc".

Let's be professional folks. It is the way you dress that you are addressed.

uhmmm this is really interesting
from experience as a web designer,buying a template and editing can be very annoying,because you cant even play with the designs the way you want to, so instead i decided it is better to build from the scratch,i found out later i can even build my own templates and unique ones cos no one has the designs
well check out the very few jobs i mhave done,i am still new in the industry and im scouting for more jobs, so i don't mind if i get hook ups

i work according to the clients pocket but i have a minimum wage, you know what i mean, cant build for less than 50k for four pages
it is high time we stop pricing ourselves cheap and raise the standard high
