Gud day my brothers and sisters, pls I am interested in furthering my studies in Australia, I have gone thru the thread and I have seen different grants and timelines. Pls I want to come out plainly, I did PTE and the scores fall within the accepted range needed for my admission. My question is does DIBP accept PTE for student visa. I have HND in elect/elect, so I intend going for bachelor of information technology in Melbourne polytechnic. How does this look because I can't go for master with HND direct? I have written the sch if there will be transfer of credit from my previous qualification. 1 Like |

donkafor:I guess u know why I said u can start ur assessment ? In case u don't know, if u are using Engineer Australia, they accept 6 across all bands. But that will not give u any point if u want to apply for ur PR after getting a positive assessment from AE. so that's y as u submit ur documents for assessment, u can be preparing for IELTS or PTE, to get a better grade. which is easier? I can't say because am preparing for my IELTS at the moment. but from what I read on this thread a lot are getting positive results from PTE. 1 Like |

donkafor: I think u are gud to go with assessment, but u will still have to sit for IELTS , have a minimum of 7 across all band or sit for PTE. |

Gud day friends, am at the stage of taking the English Language test, my assessing Body(Engineer Australia) specified it must be TOEFL or IELTS and it must be taken b4 submitting any document for assessment. I want to hear from the gurus in the house, if it must be taken first and also which of the language test is easier. Thanks. |

Am about registering for IELTS, and I will contact my school for my transcripts to be send to the assessing body. I have HND in Electrical, which of the assessing body will u advise me to send my transcript to and also do I need to send my wife's transcript also, or she should just sit for IELTS alone? though she have just NCE but doing B.ED at the moment. Thank you |

Gud morning all, u guys are doing a wonderful job here. am new and I intend to apply for Australia skill worker's visa. I have registered on Anzcosearch. I studied Electrical engineering and am currently working as an electrical engineering technician in a manufacturing company. TRA is in charge of assessment in my field but getting to their site I was directed to an immigration agent VisAssist. so am wondering if I can't do it on my own? instead of using an agent. and how do I start. thank u all |
