@Tayo-D,

Minnesota is an Inland location and we do not have a service from there. However these are the ports we cover - Direct Service on our MPV trade (Multi Purpose Vessel) - from Houston and Camden to Tincan and Onne. we do accomodate containers in this service apart from oil related and specialty equipment.

All cargo from Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville, Newyork will have to go through our transshipment port- Reason for transshipment is because the mother vessels that depart from USA are too large for the ports in Nigeria. So they have to discharge into smaller feeder vessels that can carry between 1000 - 2000TEUs (Twenty feet Equivalent) that the draft can accomodate.

Somalia is a far cry from our route.

Please also feel free to log www.safmarine.com for more details.

Hi Guys,

Just for your information, Safmarine container lines has a direct service from Houston to Tincan. Note that this is not a RORO service. Transit time - 17 - 20 days

You can also track your shipment on your mobile if you're in Naija. Send your sms to +45609910263. Fear not, the charge is same as what the local service provider is charging for sms.

How to do it;

if you want to track using your Bill of Lading number, go to send message, type BL space 9digit bl number. If you're tracking using Container number - type CN space 11digit container number and press send to the number above. It's that simple.

However, if you have other shipping needs, I'll be disposed to offer what ever assistance available. No be concession/waiver matter o!

Best Regards

Adverts / Having Import And Export Issues? by Daddypearl: 11:26am On Oct 09, 2008
Hi Guys,

Is any one of you having issues with Export or import activities? I can be of great help. I work for a shipping company in Nigeria specifically in charge of Container business in and out of East - Onne/Calabar Ports. I also cover Apapa/Tincan but for specific clients as I do have guys that handle that end.

I am overseeing the aspect of shipping called Break Bulk (a bit technical and requires a bit of proffessionalism)- This means not containerised commodity NOT roro.

I am posting this because it's a community and there may be needs that are yet to be discovered.

Please shoot if you need my assistance.

Best Regards

Hello Everyone, It's quite fun being a part of this community. I've always bumped in and out without any contribution but lately my very good colleagues talked me into it and without doubt, no regrets.

NAIRALAND avails one the opportunity to chat with great minds. I am specifically amazed at how one gets responses on almost every day life issues without consulting google.

This is what naija originally stands for - ONENESS irrespective of your class.

Thanks Seun

Sistawoman, I feel you! but never forget the cardinal obligation of giving him thanks at all times even when he is talking back. I believe his silent time is whe he listens more.

Keep walking and never look back!

God bless.

''But for those who are strong in the faith there is nothing wrong with that type of fraternizing, just don't fraternize their unbelief.''

Ref your comment above, The bible says iron sharpeneth iron - Proverbs 27:17. How would Iron sharpen wood? Solomon tried and but for the covenant God made with his father, he would have been languishing in hell by now.

For Instance - I work in an environment where bribery is the order of the day and as a christian I have decided to make my impact felt by standing out but sometimes see myself dining with this same people. what do you think goes on in their mind? Does it mean I have to completely stay away from them and avoid their gathering?

STOP! STOP!! STOP!!! Who are you guys? bunch of kids? or what? It's ENOUGH! There are more precious things to do with time than keep pouring oil into fire even after the poster has appealed that the issue be buried forever.

Insults upon insult to whose gain? This is a relationship gone bad and as a proffessional in customer experience, I think the best thing to do is to close a case like this as quickly as possible than drag it to eternity.

This whole fight will further discourage a guy like me and few other would be visitors.

You have all made your points and it's ok.

Inema and Inspired, thanks for your sense of maturity and have a pleasant day.

make una no swallow panadol for another man headache wey don quench again na!

This is a topic that generated a heated debate during the men's fellowship meeting two weeks ago in my church. I'll also like to have your views.

As christains, how do we avoid sin and at the same time befriend sinners. Is it possible to avoid them completely in this present time? To what level can we go with them especially if they are the ones to decide?

Let's discuss.

Guys,

Inema has made his case clear. He wants a Toyota Camry 2000 model with 4 cylinders. Can anyone assist?

Enough of the toungue lashing and brandishing. It's his (Inspiredman) loss if he refuses to come back with a simple apology. Inema is a customer with a potential to bring in 9 more customers to Inspired but in this case, he's leaving with 9 would be customers.

I expect the landers to save the day by simply telling Inema - Sorry for all the embarassment. Note that this is the kind of customer we need to survive in business. The one that tells you his mind immediately rather than gets his shit from you and goes away quietly.

Back to business - Can someone reply to Inema now?

Hi Guys,

I've been a quiet visitor to this site NAIRALAND and I quite appreciate the various insteresting business relatonships and community that it has enabled.

It's a pity that just when I made up my mind to interract on a particular choice of car, the wahala btw inspiredman and Inema surfaced.

Inspiredman, if you're actually inspired to do legitimate business, we need an explanation from you.

It's a shame if someone is just out to play on our intelligent.
