Donald Trump’s daughter, Tiffany, is dating Lagos big boy

Tiffany Trump has been privately dating Michael Boulos, the son of a multi-billion dollar family in Nigeria, Page Six reports.

A source close to Tiffany tells the outlet that she and Boulos spent Thanksgiving together earlier this month and that he met most of her family.

Tiffany and Boulos are assumed to have started dating over the summer when they met while on vacation in Mykonos. Boulos grew up in Lagos, the largest city in Nigeria—a country which Tiffany’s father President Trump once referred to as a “shithole country.” Back in January of this year, a source who works within the White House reported to CNN that President Trump had denounced immigrants by asking aides,”Why do we want all these people from shithole countries coming here?”

Nigerian troops dislodge Boko Haram from hideout

The Nigerian Army said its troops have dislodged Boko Haram insurgents from their hideout in Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area of Borno.

The army said on its Twitter handle that on Nov. 29; the troops launched offensive on two fronts against the insurgents and successfully dislodged them from their hideout in the area.

It disclosed that the insurgents who were preparing for attack, fled on sighting the troops leaving behind their ammunitions, food items and other consumables.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, collaborated with the International Police, INTERPOL with a view to tackling corruption in Nigeria.

Brazillian Governor arrested for ‘collecting bribe’

Luiz Pezao, governor of Rio de Janeiro, a municipality in Brazil, was on Thursday arrested over allegations that he took bribes as part of the sprawling “Car Wash” graft probe.

Nigerian Army says Boko Haram now uses drones

The Nigerian Army has revealed that Boko Haram terrorists now use drones and foreign fighters against the army.

In a statement issued by Sani Usman on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, on Wednesday, the army said it had to regularly change its tactics to tackle the terrorists.

El-Rufai drags ABU, KadPoly to court over N9.50bn unremitted taxes

Kaduna State Government, through its Board of Internal Revenue, has taken two federal government institutions domiciled in the state, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and Kaduna Polytechnic, over failure to remit N9.50bn taxes due for the state.

Presenting the case before the North West Zone of the Tax Appeal Tribunal on Wednesday, the State board of internal revenue said it is dragging ABU for unremitted Pay-As-You-Earn and withholding taxes, totaling N6.16bn.

According to the board, the amount was for all the taxes due for the Kaduna State government, but were unremitted, between 2007 and 2012.

The tribunal, which has just been newly reconstituted, with Umaru M. Adamu as Chairman, also attended to tax issues against Kaduna Polytechnic, brought before it for unremitted personal income taxes and withholding taxes, for the period, 2007 and 2012, totalling N3.34bn.

Similarly, the Kano state Board of Inland Revenue will on Thursday, take before the tribunal, appeals to determine whether they were entitled to recover from the National Orthopedic and another, the sum of N18.6m.

The amount is also for withholding and PAYE taxes, due for the 2011 and 2012 year of assessment.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a reduction in the cost of forms for pre and post-secondary school examinations of final year secondary students.

Controversy as Al-Makura donates 50 hectares of land to EFCC

Former Nasarawa State Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Innocent Lagi, has described the recent donation of 50 hectares of land to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC by Governor Umaru Al-Makura as illegal and unconstitutional.

Speaking with DAILY NIGERIAN in Lafia on Wednesday, Mr Lagi said that since the land is not a personal property of the state governor, it could not be donated at will without following due process and proper procedure.

Boko Haram gives Nigerian military notice of another attack

Boko Haram insurgents have threatened another attack on the military base at Jiddari-Polo, Maiduguri, in a message they conveyed to them through emissary.

The terrorists on Monday attacked farmers in the area, hacking four to death while one was left with severe injuries.

One of the survivors of the Monday attack, Mala Umara, told AFP that the terrorists came in large numbers.

“They came in large numbers and killed four and left the other man seriously injured,” the 75-year-old farmer said.

The insurgents were believed to belong to the Abubakar Shekau group.

Mr Umara, added that while sparing him, the insurgents instructed him to tell the Nigerian Army to prepare for another attack.

“They asked me to deliver a message to the soldiers that they should be prepared for an attack soon,” the septuagenarian told AFP.

Another survivor, Abba Muhammad, said, “Five of them encircled me, but I instinctively bolted.”

The attack was also confirmed by a local militia leader, Babakura Kolo.
