Happy new month to all hopeful TRV's, future applicants, delayed applicants and the ones that have gotten theirs. For the future applicants, delayed and TRV expectants, let's keep the strong faith in God intact and be all rest assured it will end in praise. For the successful ones, keep your eyes on the sparrow, I wish us all a happy and blissful month.

Both of you will undergo biometrics, there is nothing like principal applicant in biometrics.

can biometrics be done only at the lekki branch of vfs global or also at the ikeja branch pls... ?
You can do your biometrics at Lekki if you reside in Lagos. They've moved out of Ikeja, initially at Oregun.

Yes.
This is too exorbitant. Well, paper route is still cheaper at N37,530.

[brother! Listen if inconsistency exist between ur UG study,ur work and ur intended program..bro sincerely telling you this application will be futile according to the criteria this VOs use.more over saying ur ar working on ur SOP as a sales manager if logically assumed it was consistent with ur UG study or intended program and u didnt provide documentry evidence meeting the requirements,u ll be denied..any1 can state im employed
and work as this and that but what justifies it,is the evidence before the VO..dont stab ur self and dash this people money without sorting yourself out.
You've said it all...Gbam!

If u saw a ticket fr 280K u better grab it with both. Hands cos summer(HOLIDAY SEASON) is setting in and ticket prices will be on the UPWARD TREND till like end of september or early october.....delay culd be dangerous....IMO
I am in conjunction with you. Anything can happen any minute with most of these airlines in terms of their price judging by the current trend in price flunctuation(upward or downward) of consumer goods and services in Nigeria.

Good morning house pls I want to knw if there is anybody here who has submitted his application since February through online routes that has not gotten any response from vsf thanks and what is the way forward if there is nobody
I believe you have done your part, keep checking your CIC account for updates. In as much your application status indicates "open", then I dont think there is anything you can do other than to wait and pray. Goodluck!

Hello,
please for those who recently submitted their application via paper route, how much was the application fee?
Also did you address the envelope you kept all the documents you submitted in?
I paid N37,530. The VFS officials at the counter will aid you to cross-check all the documents you present through the document check-list, after which they will give you a form to fill, package the documents with your passport inside their bag, then direct you where you'll do your biometrics. The woman for counter think say I go leave my change for am,N470. Na 70 buks I come pity her with, if you see the kin eye wey she look me as I demanded for my balance eh..., me sef no blink as I dey ask am... Lol. Goodluck!

@lawmerchant. Please police report isn't meant for paper route only. Online route requires police report aswell, though not by force. But how can one prove to the V.O that he/she is crime free in his/her country of origin? Check the required study permit documents for your local region/country(Nigeria) online.

Hi Everyone!

I am completely new here and also to Canadian Immigration procedures but will try to make things simple.

I applied and got an offer to study Project Management in Post Graduate Certificate Program. The offer letter came in 4th of April, 2016 during which i was still serving the country (NYSC). i passed out on the 14th of the same month and started gathering documents required for visa application. After passing out, I notified a friend whom I've known for over 6 years and he gave me a job in his company as the Senior IT Admin (this is because he knows my capabilities as i have been providing IT solutions for him over the years). He is not a Nigerian but he has been in Nigeria for over 30 years running his late father's construction company.

Now these are some facts in no particular order -
1. I did a diploma program (Diploma in Java) at NIIT in 2011
2. I graduated from Middlesex University UK in 2014 and majored Information Technology and Business Information System (ITBIS) but I failed to collect police character report before I left (wasn't really necessary at the time).
3. I rounded up my NYSC this year
4. My employer has agreed to give me 10 months to study (without pay of course) and also, provide me with all supporting documents that will ease the visa application process (Letter of Recommendation, Sponsorship, Employment Verification, SOA)
5. My employer is currently not in the country as he left for the burial rights of his mum but assured me he'll return by June 13th.
6. I have paid my complete school fees and have at most 6,000CAD in my personal account ( this will certainly mature before resumption which is 6th of September 2016)
7. Before I left for UK in 2013, I registered a Limited liability company in my name but I haven't used the company for business of any sort yet. Only have a bank account in the company name with less than 100,000NGN.
8. I don't have any landed property neither do my parents.
9. I did Computer Project Management as a course in my first Degree so to an extent, I can relate to Project Management in general.

Questions:
1. What are the some disadvantages of using either the paper or online route?
2. Since my sponsor is same as my employer, does he swear an affidavit?
3. My employer returns 13th June, do I have enough time to process my visa or I should defer to January but start the processing as soon as he signs the documents?
4. The fact that my employer has agreed to give me study leave, is it enough alone to convince the VO that I would return OR couple the earlier with my existing non-functional company?
5. I don't have a police certificate from the UK and I left 3 months before the expiration of my study visa (immediately after graduation) is there any reason to worry?

Any answer will be invaluable.
Thanks so much.
Let me quickly shed light into the questions you asked. (1). From what I've seen here, either paper or online route will be fine. They both posses thesame risk, just package well and pray. (2.) Your sponsor has to swear an affidavit so as to back whatever document and evidence he is presenting as per sponsoring you all through the duration of your study in Canada. (3). In my own candid opinion, I will advice you defer untill January so as to have ample time to get your documents ready. Your must be able to construct a very convincing SOP, and this my guy is no child's play because this is where the crux of the matter lies when applying for a study permit. At this juncture, with your SOP, YOU ARE LIKE SITTING ONE ON ONE WITH THE V.O. You will just have to convince him/her(V.O), and this you really need ample time in order to draft this document.(4). Getting a study leave from your employer isn't enough criteria for granting you visa. Though still include it among the documents you intend submitting. (5). There is absolutly nothing to worry, however, I will advise you get a police character report from from Ikoyi, please. Lastly, pray very hard, there is absolutly nothing impossible for God. Just do the due dilligence, good luck. Please the gurus in the house, I stand to be corrected.

fenks bozz really appreciate..
I have a friend in Carleton university who paid nothing unti his TRV was approved. It all depends, unless your admission letter stipulates you have to, if not you are good to go.

Hi gurus, pls is it mandatory for my sponsor to include photocy of his international passport?
I strongly believe it is mandatory you include the photocopy bio data page of your sponsor's international passport. It will serve as a proof of identity. I stand to be corrected.

grin grin your friend has been scammed. Tell him to stay away from the airport else he may end up in police detention
Man who still falls for such deceit these days? Naija peeps don wisen up. No bimetrics... No medicals? Ok, I can still struggle to condone no medicals, but the absence of biometrics? Hell to the NO. Nigerian citizens as at today are shortlisted by Canadian government/CIC for biometrics. I know too well Ghanian citizens don do biometrics.

@mcobex, I am of the opinion your sponsor should include photocopy of his international pasport bio data page, it serves as a proof of identity. Please, I stand to be corrected.

Hello house, I've been a silent though an ardent follower on this forum. I must say that I am really impressed from what I've read so far. The aid and contributions from successful TRV applicants and hopeful ones are immense. I have no rezervation whatsoever that at the end, visa approval is granted by the grace of God. But first and foremost, one has to do the due dilligence when applying, by presenting all that is required in order to convince the VO that you know and understand your options, they are humans beings with thesame thinking like us. Back it up with prayers, trust and believe He will do wonders. Lets keep doing what best we know how to do. Best of luck to all TRV and admission expectants in this month of June and the subsequent Months to come.
