The person who said the pass mark was 70% has good and genuine info, a followup contact informed me few minutes ago. Asked i pray i hit cut-off stating that the recruitment is merit based... I was shocked. He didn't deny possible presence of high powers, but bulk of the recruitment will be on merit. I had to resend my details to him. Hmmmmmm easy isnt that easy. I have began questioning my exams answers.......lol

In early centuries, when Human
Resource Management (HRM) was not
prevalent, then the staffing and payroll
of the employees were taken care of,
by the Personnel Management (PM). It is
popularly known as Traditional
Personnel Management. Human Resource
Management have been emerged as an
extension over the Traditional Personnel
Management . Many management students
and layman, think that the two terms are
synonymous but, the fact is that the
modern HRM has completely replaced
PM.

I was actually offered admission to study IRPM in UNIBEN but, I'm contemplating rejecting the offer because i got to find out that HRM and IRPM are not the same course as IRPM is outdated, no longer in use and has been replaced with HRM. don't want to study an outdated course. HRM is the course i want to study not IRPM. your advise needed pls

Hrm is d outdated course which forces on managing of human resources (personnel managment) alone, there was a need to improve n expand d course due to industrial revolution around 1912...datz wen industrial relations system emerged. Wic evolved d government, employees n employers.

For example, human resources management deals only wit managing workers in ur organization alone bt d issue is more than dat nw...we ve industrial actions such as strike, collective agreement n bargaining etc, all activities dat affects d working condition of any worker at workplace.
Personnel management and
industrial relations are
related concepts that deal with
various aspects of the relationship
between the management of
organizations and their employees
as well as the relationship between
other parties with a vested
interest, such as labor unions.
Thus in most higher institutions
they are jointly offered as a
course of study while some may
offer just industrial relations or
personnel management.
The major difference is that while
personnel management (hrm)is more
concerned with the recruitment,
training and proper relations with
employees and staff of an
organisation industrial relations
has more to do with relating to
outside organised labour bodies like
trade unions and the labour
congress/bodies.


And moreso,if u want to further ur education (m.sc) u ve d chance to choose btw (industrial relations) and (personnel management) tho in 100l all ur courses wil be based on hrm alone bt 200l-400l is vested wil industrial relations in relation to hrm.

mmmm...ur score doesn't determine whether u mak first list or nt...in 2012 my friend had 221 in jamb n 44 (indigene)in p.utme n she was admitted, oda 1 wit 56 wasnt admitted til supplementary list came out ...I think there ha certain criteria. in few weeks time, I wil rejoice wit u.
