Please I need help. My 2007 bmw X5 e70 , 6 cylinder, overheats. That's, I got the drive moderately engine hot message. It started a week after I changed the radiator. The previous radiator has leakage. I scanned the vehicle and I got the 2e8b code (intelligent battery sensor). Could this be the problem? Please help don't ignore.

Modified: I tested the water pump now. It's not working. Could it be the fuse/relay. Where is the water pump fuse or relay?
.

Replace water pump.... I see you've sorted the issue.

Business / Re: How Banks Now Defraud People Via ATM Withdrawal by danadam(m): 12:55pm On Nov 18, 2019
myfan:
This is so annoying and I'm so vexed right now. I need well over a hundred thousand naira to tackle academic issues staring me in the face and after much pleadings with a family member, he sent 10k to my account and I had with less than 1k balance in the account. So I went to Union Bank ATM to withdraw the money. On my arrival, I met people queueing up complaining of the machines not dispensing punched amounts. Long story short, I punched for the 10k to come out but rather, the machine brought out 5k and I was charged N65 for the service. I tried again to withdraw the remaining 5k but was told I have reached my maximum withdrawal for the day. 5k maximum withdrawal? Since when? What is going on in this country? The motive here is to have me coming back tomorrow to use the machine again and be charged another N65. This is a trick banks employ now to extort money from people. Please who else has experienced this? This is very bad. I'm so so angry right now.

from you explanation, i couldn't deduce if your card was a union bank card or another bank. if it's another bank card, go to your bank and lodge a complaint. if it's a union bank card, visit the branch or call 012716816 for resolution.
Car Talk / Re: What's Your Experience With The E46 BMW 325i by danadam(m): 8:19am On Oct 23, 2019
lanray88:
I’ve had an e90 (for three years, out of which it barely moved for half the entire duration of ownership) and I’ll confidently tell you that any bmw exceeding the M52/M54 engines aren’t for the faint hearted or shallow pockets. You won’t really be missing much sticking with your e46.

e90 cons -
Water pump (you’d have to buy brand new and that would set you at >100k. Tokumbo at Ladipo is around >40/50k but with no guaranty of long usage.

Camshaft issues, solenoids misbehaving and MAF. Those are a few common issues so in general, I wouldn’t say it’s the most reliable of the bmws.

I presently drive a Lexus GS and if I’m to consider a bmw again, it’d be any of the following :

e36 - reliability and very cheap cost of maintenance.

e53 / x5 (with the M54 engine) - high on fuel but cheap cost of maintenance as well. High ground clearance for our bad roads.

e60 / 5 series (with M54 engine) - low cost of maintenance, sleek, more spacious and beautiful than the e90.

Overall, don’t expect to sell off as fast or a good value so the trick is to buy as low as possible. Hope it helps. Cheers.

Car Talk / Re: Photos of The UNN's First Electric Car In Nigeria by danadam(m): 2:31pm On Jul 09, 2019
AutoReportNG:
Earlier this week, the Director-General of National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) commended the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) for being the first institution to produce an electric car in the country, according to him, he said, “NADDC on Feb. 6, invited UNN, University of Lagos, Usman Dan Fodio University and Metrological Institute and urged them to prepare a paper design on how to produce an electric car in the country.

“The council is happy that UNN is the first to prepare a paper design and produced electrical car that has been unveiled and test-run today in the university.

“We urge other universities and higher institutions in the country to emulate innovation and technology spirit of UNN.”

Aliyu made the commendation in Nsukka on Monday during the unveiling of a five-seater Electric Car, named ‘Lion Ozumba 551′, produced by the Faculty of Engineering in the university.

While many applauded the gesture for this feat, many are asking, where are the pictures and how sure are we that they really produce any car of such magnitude.

AutoReportNG did a background check and we got some exclusives for you, while we are yet to have a total overview of this car, we applaud the students and the management for taking the right direction while we await on UNILAG and others for their own version.

Your rewire/electrician should check it out, probably a blown fuse or something. Replacement should be the last resort.

A toks 2003 Corolla cost 1.8-2m and a 2nd hand value of 1.2-1.4 with a value drop of 400-800k

A toks 2003 Civic cost 1-1.2m and a second hand value of 400-600k with a value drop of 400-800k.

Tell me whats the difference? You Corolla guys cannot be objective for reasons best known to you guys. You think Corolla is the best but other far less expensive cars can be as profitable and require less capital at the same time.

A toks 2003 camry is 1.5-1.6 while a smaller 2003 corolla is 1.8-2m. An accord is 1.4-1.5 toks while Civic is 1-1.2. Cant you see that Corolla is a over priced car and is a waste of monetary value.

Exactly.
Hondas usually look dapper in a coupe.

I have used 2 different generations of civic coupe/hatchback
currently using a BMW E46 coupe
friends, family and colleagues usually ask "why do like comot make i enter"
and i reply them "i just like am, its more finer in my eyes"
i also observed that most people believe that coupe owners money no reach to buy sedan that's why we are driving coupes. cheesy

coupe cars are targeted at teens 18-25 how many Nigerian teen can afford a car at that age.

those who use the coupe are people reliving their missed youth days. once there is little demand for something the price crashes

i don't agree with you
personally, there are certain i will prefer a coupe e.g a honda civic, BMW 3 series, a vw golf. i love them compact.

I was just doing a little survey of my own , though orally , and I discovered that most Nigerians do not like coupe cars?

In fact, used coupe cars are usually sold far lower than their used sibling with 4 doors for most cars although there are exceptions.

Why is this prevalent in Nigeria, especially when you do remember that coupes are usually fun to drive and in some cases have more horses to burn than their 4-door siblings?

Let's share opinions and thoughts on that.

Gazzuzz, Ikenna351, Diportivo, kingreign, Egunmogaji , nurey , valarinz and all other demeanors , please your inputs will be well appreciated.

CC: Marpol , Lalasticlala

Like EgunMogaji mentioned, it's all about preference. i will always have a coupe as long as i have 2 or more cars. a coupe might not be practical if one has only a single car.
