thanks a lot dapsy. pls are we going to drive on the main road or just within the school?

You will drive first within the school and then on the main road but some will drive only on the streets leading to the main road. It all depends on the level of confidence the examiner has in you as a result of how you drove within the school premises.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigerian Breweries Sales Executive Recruitment 2015 by dapsy06: 11:09pm On Apr 27, 2015
Okay guys, for those preparing for the driving test, I will highlight a few keypoints that if adhered to, you wouldn't have any prob.
* Get to the venue early enough so you won't be stressed up.
* Have it at the back of your mind before leaving home that you may not finish until 6pm. That will help you plan and possibly cancel anyother engagement earmarked for the day. With that, you won't be agitated when you spend beyond you planned time at the venue.
* Be confident and bold when you have your interaction with the driving school agent.
* Know your highway code, with that I mean traffic symbol for single carriage, double carriage, no entry e.t.c
* I want to believe you can drive, manual is the main, automatic is a plus. Once in the car, fasten your seat belt and advise the examiner to do same if he hasn't. Ensure to use you trafficators at all turns or overtakes.
* change your gears appropriately when you drive the manual cos they watch out for that. Don't wait to be told before you do. You should know when it's time to do that if you are a good driver.
* Don't over speed, don't attempt to show off. Trust me it could be detrimental. I know about that becos a guy failed becos of that although from the way he drove, you would know he could drive.
* if asked what you do when you first got to your car in the morning, remember to tell them about checking your radiator and also the engine oil level. You may be asked to practicalise that. So learn that if you?e never done it before
* know the process of changing tyre.
* know the meaning of clutch engagement. That might fetch you a bonus mark.
* if you are not comfortable with manual try learn because that's the main thing. If you don't, you may not even be allowed to drive on the main road, you will only drive on the streets and that may just be an indication that they do not have confidence in your manual car driving skill and am sure you know wht that means.
* you don't necessarily need a drivers license although it's a plus. The practical is what scales you thru. Although u need a means of identification.
* know the effect of deflated tyre and a wobbling tyre.
That's all I can remember for now. But pray hard if you can't drive manual at all and be confident. If you don't know how to drive at all, I don't know the advise to give but I would say you should lay your hands on a manual drive car and practice as much as u can and pray for a divine performance on that day.
I wish you all the best. Please I don't usually comment on the forum and as such, I may not reply any question(s) but I know I've equipped you with what will get you through and hope to hear your testimony.
Good night.
Just realised some guys have already gone for the test. Sorry I'm came up with this a bit late but I wish you the best.

Na wa o, the guys on induction have all gone quiet. What's the problem now? Let the house know what's going on, at least today is Saturday, there should be a little spare time for you guys.
Anyways, hope the training is coming up fine? Cheers!

To whom it may concern.

Aristotle once said and I quote ''The worst form of inequality is to try make unequal things equal''

It will be a continuous waste of time trying to make some of you guys to see beyond your knowledge that have been jaundiced.

If after the screen grab, you still think there is no such word, then you had better gone for a frontal lobe upgrade and may God help you.

And for that slubberdegullion cacafeugo who thinks he is smart, you may continue to rant for all I care. Yours is only a case of argumentum ad odium and I don't deal with loblollies.

Had a long day and I need some rest now as I have an early morning chopper to catch.

@softrise, executivegej has given you quiet an impressive info on how the quota system selection is achieved.

Well said! By the way am Male.

On a quick one, weda indicative, subjunctive or conditional, there is not a perfect tense as 'chosed' weda as a future perfect tense, present perfect, continous perfect, imperfect or pluperfect tense.

I see no reason why you would be so mean! We meet to path as we can path to meet once more, it's just some guys sharing here! Dats all.

You conspicuously avoided as if suffering from myopia to see clearly that Hyson sees itself as a partner to NNPC even if you claim otherwise.

Be smart bro, I didn't have to reply that. You don't need common sense to tell you that it's an nnpc interview, nnpc classifies them as a subsidiary. Therefore when faced with such a question, you list them as such. The day you go for hyson interview you can tell them they are partners with nnpc. Got the msg dumb?

Accept it whenever you are corrected.

Choose-Chose-Chosen

The word you referred to 'chosed' didn't scale even Thesaurus dictionary.

Pls accept n move on, we all make mistakes as humans.

My brother or is it sis, I'm very gracious in defeat and would gladly accept when I'm wrong. You just referred to the present, past and past participle of choose. Run down through your note on tenses and you would find what we call a perfect tense.

i dnt really believe in that zoning/quota system because there is no way they cn employ sb dat is nt qualified leaving-out the qualified one's in the name of quota system or wat hv u.

You should prepare very hard to be the best in your state if you want to join NNPC. You've reached the stage where people are taken based on the quota for their state. Its now a race between you and other candidates from your state, so if it is 2 candidates per state, try to be amongst the 2. It's been like that for decades cos that's the only way some states won't feel marginalized. If you are from places like the north east, you stand a better chance. I would say you should pray for favour as well because just one person on that panel can be the difference between you getting the job and you coming back for information on this thread next year. I wish you the best.

@scrypt, thanks for ur comment, you earn my respect for that but pls permit me to make one last comment on this.

@Sombaby, I really wouldn't want to join issues with you but your point would have made sense to me if there was any phrase in my first post that stated that name you called. I was simply referring to everybody or anybody that does that and even after your comment, I began to wonder if ur reply was based on the fact that you were also guilty of such or you were just expressing your own opinion. Now I know the catalyst. That been said, I gave your UGLY friend an opportunity to come plain with her point in my first post to her and rather than take a more honourable path, she decided to throw a jab at me. If she actually understood my comment, she wouldn't go that way or maybe she just chosed to take a confrontational position. Anyway, I want to believe you don't want to go on that same lane 'cos I didn't set out to run anybody down in particular and I take serious exception to anybody striking directly at me. I would pardon ur utterances 'cos I can see you simply didn't understand where I was coming from but next time I may not be that benevolent. Thanks.

@ softrise, for me I have a b.eng in elect/elect and subsequently an msc in subsea instrumentation and control. I also have a good knowledge of ROV operation so I can easily fit into NPDC or IDSL....... so if you have another training in addendum to mech eng, you can take a decision based on all what you have at the table but the first thing is putting up a great performance in your interview, where you fit in is only applicable when you get into nnpc. God bless you.

I guess you figured out what Philistine means as it appeared in your post. There is more to where that word came from.

Ooh! You are still there? Too bad I thought you only suffer from acute dementia, didn't know presbyopia is another condition you are been plagued with or maybe you simply ignored the modified response that followed due to your myopic sensitivity.

mechanical engineering, so in which if the NNPC Subsidiaries do you think i can fit in?

Sorry for a late response. I would say you can fit into most of their subsidiaries. However, your best fit is most likely one of the refineries. I'm sure you are aware of the upgrades been carried out by our engineers on some of the refineries and it is still ongoing and I'm sure they need quite a number of engineers in that area. That been said, I don't know what you applies for but if it was GT, u need not bother yourself on that. They will post u themselves and also train you. Except you already have a specialised training, that's only when you can think of making choices.... just like an ET.

Good communication skill requires good listening skill. You listened to my earlier post but not good enough. You wanted me to come direct and mention you, I don't do such except you deserve it.
So I was never direct when I said "if you are one of them, you already got the message". Pay attention to the conditional word "if". With you unwarranted rebuttal, you are definitely one of them.
Dude, I will take ya advice and go back to school, buh am going to get what will make you marvel each time I get promoted but you dont get it.

Talking about communication skills, you should be awed by how I was able to communicate with you without mentioning you. It goes to say I have excellent communication skill.
I will advise you quit your attack on me or regret ever doing so. Don't unleash the other me.

An attribute of smart people is being able to read between the lines and if after reading the first line of my msg to you in my previous post, you still think you have a good communication skill then you probably are suffering from acute dementia. Never you ever direct your unscrupulous statement at me 'cos I don't take prisoners. I will give it back to you in equal measure or even more.

Now that you sounded a bit more direct, I think you either don't understand the meaning of communication in language or you simply like jabbering. If the former happens to be your case then you had better gone back to school 'cos the labour force is looking for people with good communication skills which I believe you should have learnt in school; uni, poly or whatever you attended.

A lot of you feel intimidated already. Believe it or not he is damn intelligent, his quality of posts and analysis is second to none. If I were you, I would tap into his wealth of knowledge and do further research.

Enough of this you speak big grammar and sound that to appear intelligent bullshit.

I like it when people engage in intellectual discuss for the purpose of learning or impacting knowledge. However, I find it disdainful if people see such a platform as an avenue to show an order of superiority in vocabulary. I believe such people should do well to express their vocabulary expertise in literary works rather than on fellow forum members and trust me, it's a lucrative business.
Furthermore, I'm sure it has been made clear by NNPC that they have 6 joint venture partners and hyson and duke are definitely not amongst the six. However, hyson and duke oil are listed as subsidiaries. Having said that, I would like to state, the fact that they are subsidiaries doesn't mean they are owned by NNPC or that NNPC is their parent company. However, been a subsidiary puts them under the control of NNPC.
Also, NNPC joint venture partnerships doesn't have a written rule that NNPC stake has to be 60%. It varies based on contractual terms with NNPC been the majority stake holder usually in a range above 50%.
Therefore people of God, for the sake of those that will be invited for interviews because anything can change between now and when they decide to continue with the process, let us stick to the information given by NNPC on their website. Doing otherwise won't make you smarter trust me.
