It's quite dishearten that over my three years of existence on this thread, I haven't seen such high refusal rate as this during this period of time (September and October). My candid advice to applicants who have tried study permit twice or thrice and still got rejected of their visas, is to explore other options of migrating to Canada like the EXPRESS ENTRY, AIPP, PNP'S etc.... The time you will spend waiting for a study permit over and over and been denied on several trials is enough to prepare you to attain a great score for an IELTS exam, evaluate your transcipts via WES, obtain your work reference letters from past and previous employers, create an active profile, receive an invitation to apply and subsequently file for your Permanent Residency Application. The truth of the whole thing is that so many applicants aren't well informed about other programs and it's requirements that can successfully land them in Canada. The time is now, start browsing through the internet and take advantage of other exciting immigration programs too..... Come to think of it, do you know with a permanent residency visa you're entitled to several benefits which includes -


1 – YOU CAN LIVE AND WORK ANYWHERE IN CANADA
You will have the legal right to live and work anywhere in the country! If you start off in Montreal but you find a better job in Toronto, you will have every right to move. Permanent residents aren’t tied to a specific employer or a specific province unless you migrated through the PNP routes.

From experience , HR often keep list of all candidates for the role, they interview the top performing ones, and hold on to the list of candidate, they proceed to send a "regret" mail when their preferred candidates have accepted their offer.,else they can begin the process with the second best list in their candidate pool.

If you haven't been called since the August or July simulation test...it may not be a good sign..

Some people got mail two weeks after the simulation in Aug and have gone two steps into the interview process with mtn..

@Dare, all the best bro. One thing I know that cannot be taken from MTN is INTEGRITY. The company's level of professional integrity is just unquestionable and incomparable. Hence, those of us who are yet to be called should remain hopeful. I still believe!

Good to hear this. For you to have been called, it means you passed the Simulation test and you have had some time of work experience doing a similar thing you have applied to MTNN for.

Now the Interview is going to be about testing your HEAD[HOW SMART YOU ARE], EMOTIONS[HOW YOU HANDLE ISSUES] and HAND [SKILL].... there about. They want to know how you have worked in the past, the experiences you had [good and bad] and how you handled issues.

The way forward to this kind of interview is to give them as much examples/case as you've had.

As such, there isn't much to prepare for. Its a kind of interview where "you cannot give what you do not have", nothing to cram, its just about your work life so far... To help them see if you are a fit for them.

I pray for the very best for you and every other person in this. Go and enjoy God's favour.

Thanks,Techserve, i did not see your post before the interview, but all the same i just try my best, the interview is thought provoking, is mostly for experienced people who will always have example to back up their claims. My brother, if you are inexperience, nothing for you. I also realized that the selection by dragnet after passing the exam is also based on relevant experience, you must currently be doing some thing related to the role in question. some people passed the assessment but were not recommended. why i said this is because out of four us interviewed, three were already contract staff with MTN doing similar job, i was the only person from another sister GSM company also doing similar job. if you received call from MTN on your preferred location, don't loose hope. They will definitely call you.
I received call from MTN and later dragnet Solution. They invited me today for interview at Ibadan. prayer is what i need now

Today i got and invite from MTN for a Competency Base interview at their Regional office Ring Road, Ibadan. pls kindly let us know the format of the interview. Your response will help other members on this platform greatly.

The invite is through mails, if they wait and you do not acknowledge receipt of the mail, they will call you ,usual number is 0803200++++ no be 180 o

My brother let hope for the best, i actually applied for Account Partners, Enterprise Sales. Lagos, Akure and North East. The MTN lady called me on my preferred location and i said Lagos, she said if there is no space in Lagos , do i prefer Akure and i said yes. since then i have not heard anything. To me for MTN to call me at all, my name must have been submitted to them. i am still very hopeful , the positions are quite many so no one can say precisely the batch they are working on. let be optimistic and prayerful.

I should think the process is on going. Let us not loose hope. I was contacted by MTN on my prefered location too. I am sure those interviewed applied before us. I did my exam on 29th july 2 017. I am not loosing hope yet.

The news is that, its still ongoing and NO 1 has been contacted yet..

And so i was advised to be patient and stay calm.
