Working with a visa category which stipulates visit, medicals etc other than employment, is a ground for arrest and deportation if discovered by security operatives. The culprit should also kiss a future visit to the States, a goodbye.

Except you get married and have kids who may eventually file for you, an immigrant visa back to the U.S. at a future date when they come of age. This is still subject to an over-riding immigration rule.

What if u get married to a citizen before the expiration of your visit?

Hello guys, I have missed a lot here. I just recovered from the jetlag. A few lines of travel transcript won't hurt an ant, I guess.

Flight was scheduled for 8:50pm, July 20,2015. I did arrive the airport 3hrs before departure time. First thing on arriving the airport was to weigh my luggage, unfortunately, all my bags weighed more than the stipulated Kg, one of them weighed 44kg instead of 23kg. I was in disarray and completely paranoid, scared of coughing out $175 for extra luggage. Fortunately, a young man came to my aid. Trust Naija, nothing goes for free but he helped reduced my burden, however, I had to resort to travelling with two different "Ghana must go" bag, like Osufia who travelled to Amelika. That bag eventually served as my hand luggage, when everybody was rolling theirs I was dragging mine, I couldn't help but buy a faze cap to cover my shame.

Now, at the immigration checkpoint, Slimmy05's aunt came to my rescue. Consequently, Nobody searched my bag and I didn't pay a dime of any sort. After checking in my bag, I headed straight to the airplane, there was no time to play with people who went to the airport with me. The airplane left 5 mins before departure time.

We had a stopover in Dubai with a 2hrs 30mins layover time. We left Dubai exactly 9:20am. From Lagos to Dubai was about 7hrs and Dubai to Chicago was double the time from Lagos to Dubai. I had fun with the Indian bloke -Grofder - a Student of Stevenson College in Chicago- who sat beside me. He made the 14hrs in air super interesting. #but that guy can eat for the whole of America#.
We landed Chicago Int'l airport at exactly 2:52pm. Unfortunately, we could not disembark from the aircraft because there was no parking slot for our aircraft, we arrived almost an hour earlier than our arrival time. We had to wait for more than 1hr30mins before we could come down from the airplane. Immediately after that, I headed straight to the toilet, because I never wanted what happened in July 21,1845 to repeat itself. I did the needful and headed for the biggest interview of the day. I was on the queue leading to POE for more than an hour. Eventually, it was my turn to answer some questions;
me: Good evening
CBP officer: How was ur trip
me: cool, thanks
CBP officer: your passport
me: here
CBPO: typing while holding his chin and squinting
CBPO: I can't see any information linked to this Sevis number and also why was this I20 sent since March?
Me: (in my mind, if na joke, oga stop am) Well, my admission was for Spring 2015, I deferred, and that's the updated I20.
CBPO: Oh! I see. What course is that?
Me: Mathematics
CBPO: Your fingers on that, your right first, now ur left. Ok, now look straight to the camara. Thank you.
CBPO: Where did u study in your undergraduate
Me : Nigeria
CBPO: you mean all your life you've been living in Nigeria?
Me : Yeah!
CBPO: impressive, welcome and enjoy your stay in the United state.
Me: Thank you, with a smile.
After leaving his post, I started bouncing like a real American, went straight to claim my luggage.
The rest story ain't for public consumption because I was frustrated and disappointed.

The real hustle is here if you care to know, however, whatever it is, the hustle is worth it.

Thanks to God Almighty. Thanks to my TripAdvisor,Slimmy05.
Nairaland is my virtual home and everyone in here is my real buddy. Let the progress begin! See you guys soon.

*lmao* the transcript is interesting and funny! #if na play, oga stop am* #rotfl....so funny....oyinbo no sabi wetin ur eyes don see...lol, gidi hustle!

VISA APPROVED.....
Hi users. This is my first comment, I actually joined today, although I have been reading and following comments made by other users on this thread.

I went for my F1 student visa interview today, 6.30am at Lagos consulate.
Note : I graduated last year. admitted to a community college. I didn't take any standardized test. Sponsor - my uncle.
My visa was approved today. It all God's doing.
Provided you have a clear study plan, then the interview is no problem.
Will drop transcript later.

Congrats!

Yes that was what I meant. Sometimes agent would advice you not to do it because they wanted it to be easier for them. You definitely need one even if not for the school but for your embassy interview. I have an agent who has a record like that as well but he ended up processing a community school for me. He waisted my time and my resources ofcos if he can give you an I-20 his job is done you can't hold him for anything. So therefore you might still want to talk to you dad over it and let him know how easy the process is.

Thanks for the prompt response!

How long does it take to get the test certs and how much?

Am not suppose to ask which country you wanna travel to ofcos you are in the U.S. Thread lol it's very easy and simple but if you want a safe processing the first step is taking a standardized test.

By standardized test, I think you are referring to toefl or GRE. Yes I mentioned that to the man helping me as well. He said nigeria is english speaking country that there's no need. That if we'll need it he will let me know. What do u suggest?
Travel / Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 7 by daret002(m): 5:56pm On Jul 20, 2015
Hi everyone...

I'm kinda new here, not to form big or anything...I've not traveled out of Nigeria before but I've always want too. So when my dad came up with d idea of me traveling out, I thought it will just be to work there, then he told me I'll be going to school. Since I've not travel before and not conversant with the process of securing a VISA, me and dad went to meet a well known agent to the family this morning and he told me to come with my passport and academic certificates tomorrow that he will look up schools that will admit for december.

So I'm very curious, nervous and expectant! I need advices and probably someone to put me through on d requirements so when the agent talks I will also tell him the information I have.

I have never been more ready (lol...pardon my "english").

I hope to follow this page as much as possible from this time onward. Hope to hear a sounding "welcome" *winks*

It's like this goddey, daret and bebeto are one and the same and/or colleagues. Their stories are shady/false. Check out bebeto's posts and you'll understand.

Yes!...my stories are shady but not false (I have my reasons). Talk about bebeto and goddey, I'm not colleague to neither of them. Talk about the language...I don't seem to understand what u mean by that. I trust my word composition, if you have found any error, point it out as I can be corrected as well.
THANKS!...meanwhile, I'm processing my visa with or without your advice...and I'm sure Gods favor will abound.

So people just go in for an interview not knowing what the agent has filled for them? That's crazy. No wonder some even get banned without knowing.

The agent has help with my other tours...I just want to start d whole process for US dis week. More reason while I'm using d agent is that I don't want any problem along d way.

So as it is, the only place where I come in is during d interview...let me be honest with u, I'm scared as I am now.

I'm fascinated by what people have said about honey. I will also like to emphasize that when u put honey inside water and it sinks down....at times if u do matches test with dsame honey, it may test negative.most consumers of honey doesn't have time to carry out this differs test that's while people decide to have one supplier when it comes to honey.

Its you are in Ibadan and youe decided to get honey in bulk...I may be of help.

But truth be told, its a slap on NIS not to have standard plan for this recruitment exercise. They collect 1,000naira from each applicant and kept mute since?

I hail,

I think we are all mature here. I cannot but relate the jobless society of ours to what's happening on this trend.

I am an applicant here toom I'm in serach of information, most especially the NIS examination date or any othere information that regards it. But I'm surpriced by what I am seeing.

I don't think itss very good for us to use abusive words in here. Nobody needs to remind us that we are adults cos we are already in search of work.

Great Nigerain Youths, I submit.

I can help those insearch of question, but can not send it to mails, I can only copy and paste (as that's s somehow difficult to dowith phones). My contatcs
