In my opinion, episode 5 is my best so far. He had to go out of his usual craftiness and resorted to blackmail to rescue himself. Even in the blackmail itself, his craftiness was still glaring.
TV/Movies / Re: Da Vinci's Demons Series (from the producers of Spartacus ) by Darray(m): 5:28pm On May 12, 2013
This series as at date is on its 5th episode and so far it's been worth my while.

Some of us are familiar with so many versions of the story of the genius, Leonardo Da Vinci. Now, this series is an attempt to make art immitate life.

Like Spartacus, it has its own fair share of uncladness and adult scenes, but I dare say that it is bearable, at least for me. Also, it's got a very wide assemblage of quotes that will make you marvel.

The plots, screenplay, effects, twists yadayadayada are also wonderful. And ofcourse, the acting is very good to say the least.

This series has got an ardent follower in me, anybody else watching?
TV/Movies / Da Vinci's Demons Series (from the producers of Spartacus ) by Darray(m): 5:11pm On May 12, 2013
In a world where thought and faith are controlled, one man fights to set knowledge free.

Leonardo Da Vinci is tortured by a gift of superhuman genius. He finds himself in a conflict between truth and lies, religion and reason, past and future. His aspirations are used against him by opposing forces luring him into a game of seduction where those who despise his intellect need him most. His quest for knowledge nearly becomes his undoing, but Da Vinci's genius prevails and he emerges as an unstoppable force that lifts an entire era out of darkness and propels it into light. His story becomes a mirror into our own world, calling us all to join his fight to free the future.
TV/Movies / Re: Game Of Thrones Vs Spartacus by Darray(m): 1:56pm On Apr 07, 2013
After watching each episode of GOT on my phone, I delete. Same fate awaits this night's episode.
But for each episode of WOTD, I keep. Jupiter himself cannot break words otherwise. Episode 9 is already in my archives.

You need to look beyond the raw scenes before allowing the thoughts of Spartacus' essence part from mind.

Anyway, to each his own. cool
TV/Movies / Re: Game Of Thrones Vs Spartacus by Darray(m): 8:25pm On Apr 05, 2013
Crassus:''Greed is, but a word the jealous inflicted on the ambitious''. Can u beat that?

Just one episode of Spartacus got me yearning for more. Infact, I cant wait to download E09 of WOTD.

GOT on the other hand took a lot of persuasion to get me hooked, even after the first episode. Waiting for the S03E02 on Monday. But I must confess, Spartacus sparks up more excitement for me. Need to set hand to purpose for E09 grin

Family / Re: Don't I Have The Right To Be In Labour Room With My Wife? by Darray(m): 8:43pm On Nov 28, 2012
It is cos a lot of unclad women are there. But I still feel there is enough space for the husband during delivery. Most of these so called govt. hospitals(especially teaching hosp) are not only big but very large wit a lot of personnel on ground no matter the time. This is my experience with our 1st baby.

We registered @ a teaching hosp and a private just in case they won't allow me fulfill my live long dream of being there during delivery.Fortunately for me,they wanted to do a research on the effect of the husband's presence during delivery and my wife luckily picked the one that would allow ♍ƺ in.

On the fateful day,I took her there and I stayed wit her from 11am till late in d night when she delivered only excusing them when doctors are on ward rounds. The delivery section @ this particular hosp is also in the same place where the women wait till they're ready to deliver only cordoned off when one of them is ready to do the final push.During my stay there, about two of the women in waiting gave birth right in my presence and ofcourse they were well covered in the delivery section.I was only hearing them but not seeing. But hey!Why would I even care to see them when my woman was having her own contraptions.I was just minding my own biz.

When the baby eventually came,it was heavenly and I was glad it happened in my presence. The experience makes you appreciate women more.It helps the family bond well. And I pray to do it all over again. smiley

@Speedboi:
Why are you saying all these negative things about IB?Same thing on the thread talking about where to spend vacation in IB.

On what basis do you even want to compare IB to Ilorin? You keep saying people patronise open market in IB,u fail to mention that most open market in Ilorin are not even organised as the ones in Ibadan. So,people in Ilorin have learnt to go get most of their things in Supermarts.Even @ that,Ibadan has its own fair share of supermarkets, plenty of them sef.

You also mentioned good roads.Yes,you are right about that. But you can come back to argue that when the infrastructures in Ilorin are half as stretched as Ibadans.

Ilorin is a nice place to stay,so is Ibadan.

That said,I believe malls of The Palms standard are most welcomed in all our cities.
Music/Radio / Re: Blogger Replies Trace Urban, Mocks Loyal Nigerian Artistes. by Darray(m): 8:25am On Oct 27, 2012
Personally, the article is apt and interesting. The blogger only stated an obvious trend over time and the entertainment coy sensing that somebody has awakened the consciousness of its Nigerian viewers felt threatened and did ɑ rebuttal.I make bold to say that the blogger did a good and commendable job.
Anyways,I hardly tune to Trace.Even Channel O that use to be my favorite years ago hardly comes to mind again since they started showing all their boring SA songs.SoundCity does the magic for me.
Just like we have varities in every area of life, same way a blogger has the right to blog on any area of interest. We can't all be Omojuwa(I'm a fan btw) who derives satisfaction by blogging abt the ills of our nation.Again, its not mandatory to comment in every thread just because U̶̲̥̅̊ think 'U̶̲̥̅̊ sabi talk/type','waka pass na option incase u 4get'.

I was there for the delivery of our first daughter some 8weeks ago @ one of the Federal Teaching Hospitals .
The experience is one I've been praying not to miss before I got married and I got my wish granted. In addition, it was against the hospital's culture to allow such, but fortunately for me they were doing this research then to know the effect of the husband's presence during delivery.
That day, I understood the definition of pain.Never knew my wife could be that powerless and defenseless.
Women are to be appreciated and respected.
I pray to be there again next time to wipe the tears,to offer my palms to be tightly squeezed,to give moral support, and assist in pushing with my mouth. smiley

@TerraCotta:
MGHR(MicCom Golf Hotel & Resorts)in the sleepy town of Ada,Osun state is lovely, serene, quiet and ɑ̤̈̊ nice place to relax and explore with Ɣ☺U̶̲̥̅̊я spouse.
Apart from the gym, golf course and other nice stuffs on offer, you can visit tourists sights closeby. This I did when I visited last year. While lodging there,I visited the Osun Groove in Oshogbo,Olumirin Waterfalls,Erin-Ijesha and Ikogosi warm springs,Ekiti(Although the place was in a bad shape then-the Chalets were still under construction and the road leading directly there gave my car belly and shocks some marks). One tourist site on each day I spent at the Resort.

It was ɑ̤̈̊ lovely experience and not expensive.

Obudu is my next stop.Heard such wonderful news about it.

'For all the people that think you must work just because you want to make enough money to rub shoulders with your husbands, good luck. For all the men that will submit to their wife, good luck. And for all those who cannot come down from the fence, good luck. I will be in control of my family, and my wife/kids will enjoy my leadership, they will be wishing to have me as a father/husband in their next life'.

Well said. You are not so invisible after-all.
