davodyguy:My personal advice will be for you to stick with the bus (from Chatelet) and avoid taking the RER trains at Chatelet during rush hour. Alternatively, you can take the M4 (Metro 4) from Chatelet to Gare du Nord between the hours of (6:30 - 9:30)am and (3:30 - 6:30)pm - this is still rush hour though but the metro is better than RER. This is definitely not a good time for tourists but on a good day, you would have really enjoyed the vast underground train network Paris has. |

davodyguy:Yeah, the suburbs are very quiet. Movement in Paris today is highly limited. Almost all the train stations are closed except the automated ones (M1 and M14) and most of the Trams, so getting a pass won't really be needed. If you intend to go out today with the fam, you can do an Uber or Taxi to Musée du Louvre (Louvre Musuem), then walk to Ponts des Arts (Love Bridge) and Arc de Triomphe as they are closeby. Thereafter, take another Uber to Eiffel Tower...and call it a day. |

Ibukunstar:Almost all the Bachelor degree program in France are in French so you will need to dedicate 1 year to master the language before you commence studies. Do a search for UG programs and see their requirements. For Canada, you can ask on the Canadian Study thread. Bringing your children is a whole different ball game, so i will advise you to cross that bridge when the time comes. |

justwise:Sterling Bank does it through their i-invest. (https://i-investng.com/) Also, almost all the top i-banks in Nigeria have an online platform to invest in T-bills (be you home / abroad). For abroad, you have to notarize your utility bill and passport (if foreign). |

davodyguy:The cash is okay and don't meet the threshold for declaring, so you are good to go. I hope you enjoy your stay in Paris, and be prepared to do a lot of Taxis and Ubers (with slightly higher prices). The strike is really making mobility quite difficult! |

omoalison:Saying she is applying to visit for child delivery does not seem like a valid reason to me, but it is arguable though. It is better not to bring it up at all because it can also mean she is likely to overstay her visa. 'She is coming to visit you and explore France' looks fine, show proof that the two of you are related (birth certificates, pictures, others...), do the letter of return as you stated and also see below extract. Also there is nothing like "too much documents", hence submit anything you think that can show ties to her stay in Nigeria.

jesuisroya:Well, that means you know the basics. Let her apply for a short stay visa.. and you can provide an Attestation D'accueil for her to use alongside her application since she will be staying with you. Wishing you a safe delivery 1 Like |

So strike started today in France and should it continue beyond this week, it might significantly affect movement to and fro Paris. For those travelling this period, do recheck with your airline. |

Brandagencies:Let me try and lift your spirit! Lol You have a good travel history and you are legally married to an EU national (till after Brexit lol) and you guys are travelling together, if i am correct. I don't think you will be denied except you don't meet the following: Your non-EU family member must include the following documents with their visa application: 1. a valid passport – to prove their identity and nationality 2. a document proving family ties with the EU citizen (e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate etc.) and dependency (if required) 3. proof that the EU citizen is already living in the host country (if they are joining them) 4. a declaration that the couple will travel together (if the family member will be accompanying the EU citizen) In very rare cases, an EU country can refuse entry to you or your family members for reasons of "public policy, public security or public health". If this happens, the authorities must prove that you or your family members pose a "genuine, present and sufficiently serious threat" |

I am worried with the way some people here cannot comment without insults. Like i am concerned about why you will come to a faceless forum like Nairaland and start insulting people you have not met and/or will never meet!! If you think the APL or whatever you call it is fake, why not ignore it and move on to other things? Hold on to what you believe and let that work for you. Any more insults/unnecessary mentions will be dealt with accordingly and we will all go for a short break! 7 Likes |

Artexexes:I would want to believe the authenticity of this screenshot because i cross-check the NNPC emails with the ones some people outlined in previous update and it is the same. So congrats to you (if it is real)and i hope others can come and share their testimonies (this i highly doubt though). If it isn't real, then you owe yourself and future monikers a life long ban on this section. Anyways, please delete your screenshot for confidentiality purposes. 1 Like 1 Share |
