I currently use a made in nigeria inverter 1.5KVA and have been using It for 2 Years now and have not repaired or changed anything it I use a 150 amps 12 volt battery... Its so effective...I actually sold my Generator early this year when I needed cash...whenever dere z 230 Volts Nepa Light...it charges for 5 hours and use it for 10-12hrs...

Bros if you are asking that question, I would strongly suggest that you hand over the installation to a professional.
The battery need to be connected for it to work. There are inverters that need PV and or AC power to work. Your Mercury is not that type.
