The officer told me that if he had known the petitioner was coming he would have asked to see her. Please send an e-mail to us at LagosIVscheduling@state.gov letting us know when the two of you are available. We can see you on a Thursday or Friday (no holidays). Thanks!

Mr/Mrs VO,
The above quote caught my attention. Is there a preference as to who the officers see? I was in lagos and standing outside the embassy while my son was interviewed and he told the officer same yet he was told that he didn't have enough evidence to show he was my only son. Why didn't the officer ask to see me? Whats the difference between my case and the above case you answered to. Could you care to elaborate.
thanks

Dear Mr.....

Please be informed that your expedited immigrant visa interview has been scheduled for October 27, 2014, at 07:00 a.m. Please print the attached interview instruction packe.........

VO,
The present ordeal isn't my idea of expedited. He went to interview with everything more (even to my original pay stubs). All he didn't have was pictures but I was outside and he told the officer. The officer could have sent for me. Abi no be so?
Please can his case be expedited again? Please I beg yr office.
Thanks a lot.

Dear VO,
It was with a heavy heart that I read the email sent to me about collection being scheduled for February 4th 2015. What a wait? Why the wait... very devastated and disappointed. I know I wrote an email requesting for everything I needed to do to help expedite my case as nvc said it was in lagos. I wish I was told to go do the DNA then and by now it'll be a wrap. Cos Its Seems That Practically Everyone That Filed FOR A Child Is asked for DNA. So why not ask upfront.
I understand that some unscrupulous things/pple have happened but the act of some bad ones shouldn't affect all. As I write this I got off the phone with my son who has been crying since he received the email. He has spent 1 year and half at home while all his mates have gone to college. Not because I can't afford to put him college in nigeria but because it doesn't make sense shoving him in and out when his visa is ready.
Sounds like I am throwing a tantrum but I'm sure u understand my plight. This is my one and only child. It hurts. Thank you for all your help and for reading

Dear VO,
I have really had my doubts about using this forum but my son won't let me rest. He said he has chatted here with you and believe you are a real VO. Don't blame my doubts. It's just that a lot happen online/internet these days.
I'm a US citizen, and filed for immigrant visa for my son (my only son and only child) he went for the interview and the consulate was "unable to issue a visa at this time due to insufficient documentation". Interview was on 10/27/14, case number LGS...042. DNA evidence was requested from us, I was in Lagos same time but no where to do same. I have since done the DNA test here in US and I believe it's at the embassy as I write. I understand mails have to be sorted but My questions are:

1. How long will it take before he is called back as time is fast closing up on him receiving benefits under the child citizenship act as he turns 18 December.
2. I was hoping We will celebrate thanksgiving, his birthday and Christmas together.
3. He obtained his police report late August, I hope he won't be asked for another.

I'm sorry if I am asking multiple questions, it's just that I am worried. Thanks a lot for your time!
