I personally don't advice anyone to get a lawyer if is straight forward case like missing documents do it yourself address your point in your letter and add your missing documents trust you coming out with victory by not even going to court. But if you have the money to waste to reapply is your choice but note every ECO will attend to every case on their discretion you might be issued the visa or the new ECO can refuse you for another silly reason, is your call to appeal or reapply.

2. If it was refuse because of crime which comes under Suitability requirement you're most like to refuse again if reapply and go to court if you appeal.

Note: I don't advice people to reapply cause Appeal is cheap and you have 98% of getting your visa. I don't care about time is the visa care about. We survived the past months and years GOD will preserve our lives for the coming months.

I'm a living witness even with my own case I went through Appeal process.

..and if the refusal wasn't overturned and it goes to court?

If it goes to court the fee won't be refunded and it can take up 6months to 12months

Note:Cases veries, there are some case that are straight forward like missing documents(payslips, call logs, pictures,TB&English certificate that was issue b4 the application but wasn't seen on the application by the ECO) can be submitted through the appeal process. Most of these cases don't get to court they usually overturned.
But if is case of not meeting the financial requirement, Not having TB&English certificate at all or ECO said he/she believes the relationship is not genuine and you can't prove otherwise with more pictures, call logs, financial transactions within couples and travel trips then you are going to court to convince the Judge to do the overturning of the refusal decision.

Appeal is not free
You have to pay £140 for appeal and if the refusal decision is overturned by the ECM(Entry Clearance Manager)before it gets to court then the £140 will be refunded my the tribunal.
2. Appeal process takes 1month to 8months. My best friend own took 6weeks and the ECM overturned the decision and he's spousal visa was issued in 2weeks after he submitted his passport.

Is it compulsory for UK visa & Immigration to send one Visa approval email for family visit visa, to know if he/she has being granted a visa or not. because it seems like recently that's what is happening.

Hello.....
Please help me out

Someone I know applied for a visa to the UK for a conference....with company cover
She got a mail saying...

,.....UK Visa and Immigration has now assessed your application and made a decision. Your documents and the decision will either be sent back to the application centre.....where we will contact you by mail to come and collect them, or will be sent thru the courier you used.......frm Teleperformance

Then still today, she got one from the application centre viz:

...your passport and any returned supporting documents have now been sent back to you by courier....etc

It sounds like she was refused, right?

Can someone help me put please?...@justwise...anyone?
Thanks

It doesn't mean she was refused,in most cases they don't tell if the visa was granted or not. I've only notice that most student visas applications are the ones which receives approval email.
When did she apply?
And how many days did it take for her to receive these messages.

@dday101, No i haven't heard anything from them.
I submitted on the 08/10/14 got email that my application was received on 09/10/14 by UKVisa anthat wad immigration, so I sent the UKVisa and immigration an email to track the status of my application since I'm not getting update from Tp on the 26/10/14 and sent me this email on Sunday.

Dear xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry
Service.

We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status (GWFxxxxxxxxxxxx and date of birth
XX/XX/xxxx) and found that the application has been processed and a
decision has been made.

Please note that your passport and documentation could still take some time
to reach you whilst being sent back from the decision making centre and
whilst other administrative formalities are completed. The visa application
centre will be in contact with you regarding the collection or delivery.

If you have purchased a courier service then your documents will be
dispatched to the delivery address you have provided. We appreciate your
patience while you wait to receive your documents.

We strongly recommend not to book prepaid travel and accommodation before
receiving the visa.

For any further details, or should you need to contact us again please
refer to our website at https://ukvi-international.faq-help.com/, select
appropriate country, click next and then select 'E-Mail form' and complete
as instructed. We will aim to come back to you within 1 day.

Kind regards,
Garry Gardiner
