Probably you have not been paying bills untill now. The purchasing power of the naira has been eroded. I don't know how I want to explain it to you more than how I explained to that guy.

You earned 10k in 2015 and spends 8k with a savings of 2k, now your salary is increased to 50k, but you need 80k to eat and live the way you do before, then the increase is of no importance. The economy is better off when you earned 10k

That is why I called him an illiterate, that is in response to his harsh words to someone who made a God analysis up there.
point of correction,I'm paying bills,my rent alone 700k per annum plus 121k service charge,4 units of electricity here in Ipaja Lagos is 1k,data, feedings, cost of tf everyday,etc,....I'm a civil servant does not mean that i don't have other stuff I'm into......the bottom line is that,if you a civil servant and earning like 100k,and you are surviving with it,then, the following month, the Government increase ur salary to 150 or 170k...you are now saying or complaining that d 50k increment cannot do anything or d 50k does not have any impact in your life,my brother,i cannot believe that......I swear,I removed 50k in my salary yesterday for next year rent renewal, which I find very difficult to do last Month....

When did a bag of rice become standard volume of purchase for Nigerians? Is there any developed country where a bag of rice is part of a standard household basket of food?
I wonder oooo, when the bag of rice is 7k and d minimum wage is 18k, how many civil servant can afford a big of rice, even non civil servant...

You are an illiterate... The low income earners know well that 40k increment in their salaries is nothing compared to the current inflation.

They know that, they rather received 18k and buy a bag of foreign rice at #8k than receive #70k and buy a bag of same rice at #105k.
You are the illiterate here bro,25%+40k increment in my salary gave me d grace to safe 50k for my next year rent renewal, which i find so difficult to do on my old salary.....I guess you are not a salary eaner.... assuming you a salary eaner and ur last month salary is 100k,then,this month they increase it to 150k,and you said there nothing you can use d 50k to do,bro,ur village peoples are ontop ur matter...

I can not do a monthly payment work
Wether private or federal or state government job

I can't...stupid people...if your salary is 150k still won't be enough to run expenses of now days

Transportation, bag of rice ....even if you buy all the food stuff at home ...no matter what you will still spend up to 10k every week buying things you will use in cooking the food stuff

Where is stay I pay 10k monthly as Nepa bill
10k for Nepa bill,I thought you are a rich man they way you were rant!.....I pay 25 to 30k monthly here in Ipaja, band A,and i am a Government worker....

A big lie. The minimum wage is not reflecting on the September payslip of majority of civil servants on IPPIS pay roll. The lies and confusion surrounding the minimum wage, wage award and 25 -35% increment on selected consolidated salary structures will continue to exis untill when the federal government will do the right thing.
ur username says a lot about you.....for your information,we federal workers did not receive only 40k,25% wage award+ peculiar and 40k was added to all federal workers.....

God bless you for this submission. The 40k added is not up to that amount after deduction of tax.
25% percent was added to all federal Government workers plus peculiar and 40k minimum wage....not only 40k alone..
