Politics / Should Davido Adeleke Run For Senate?? by Debonair01: 5:59pm On Sep 24, 2018
While i was thinking about the Osun election, an interesting tot came to me.... if the PDP candidate is to eventually win, that will leave his senate seat vacant. With the love and support Davido received during the campaign, i think he can easily win that senatorial seat.

I think it will not only be good for our democracy; having a very young and vibrant boy in the senate, but also(if he can handle himself well) cld represent and further the cause of about the only sector of our economy working well.... that is ENTERTAINMENT!!

I also see his emergence as a senator fast tracking the political generational shift we all are yearning for as a nation. One wld naturally see the old timers retiring or give the younger once more courage to run against the old timers. Davido with his popularity and influence can easily win, i think.

I really haven't given the idea a lot of tot.... but come lets discuss the possibility and effect such move cld have on the Nigerian political Landscape.

ONE VERY CRITICAL GROUP THAT CRASHED IT WAS EVERYBODY THAT EARNED EVEN A DIME FROM THE SCHEME.

HOW DO I MEAN? EVERY MONEY ANYBODY EARNED MEANS AN EXACT LOSS TO SMONE ELSE. MAYBE NOT RIGHT AWAY, BUT BEFORE THE END OF THE SCHEME.

MY GREATEST WORRY THO IS, IF THE CHUDDY GUY REALLY MADE UP TO A BILLION NAIRA PROFIT, IT MEANS PEOPLE MUST LOSE ATLEAST 1 BILLION NAIRA, SAME AS EVERY OTHER PERSONS THAT MADE MONEY FROM THE SCHEME.

I ACTUALLY HOPE AND PRAY THE SCHEME DOESN'T RECOVER, SO THAT AT LEAST WE NIGERIANS WLD CUT OUR LOSES AS IT IS, ELSE IF IT DOES BOUNCE BACK, THE BEST THAT WILL HAPPEN WILL BE SM PEOPLE WILL CASH OUT BY FURTHER INCREASING THE LOSS MARGIN AND POSTPONING THE EVIL DAY.

SM PEOPLE MUST DEFINITELY FALL THE ULTIMATE MUGU, NO MAGIC CAN BE DONE TO PREVENT THAT. THE CURRENT MUGUS NOW ARE AS GOOD AS ANY.

Foreign Affairs / Opinion: Mike Pence (vp Elect) Wld Be The Next Usa President by Debonair01: 9:50am On Nov 12, 2016
THIS IS JUST AN OPINION OH, BUT I THINK TRUMP WOULD GET HIMSELF IMPEACHED SOONER THAN LATER

Pence is more experienced, better qualified and has the right temperament for the position. i think the republicans in congress would see to that too.

Just watch his last speech at new-hampshire.

Politics / Re: What Can Be Done About The Power Crisis? by Debonair01: 10:42am On Apr 07, 2016
THIS IS GOING TO BE THE FIRST TIME I WILL VOICE THIS OUT.

THE PROBLEM WITH OUR POWER SECTOR IS SAME AS ALL SECTORS OF THIS COUNTRY. "THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA - YOU AND I". THINK ABOUT IT FOR A MOMENT, WHAT SECTOR HAS EVER WORKED IN NIGERIA? OTHER THAN TELCOMS (WHICH I DONT BELEVE WORKS PROPERLY SEF)

WE AS A PEOPLE HAD/HAV A FAILED NITEL, A DECAYED CIVIL SERVICE, I COMATOSE AGRIC SECTOR, A DEAD STEEL AND MINES... YOU CAN ADD YOURS.

IF WE DO NOT CHANGE AS A PEOPLE... ALL WE CAN ACHIEVE IS COSMETIC SOLUTION THAT CANNOT STAND THE TEST OF TIME. THE WAY WE DO THINGS, THE WAY WE THINK, THE WAY WE MANAGE OUR RESOURCES, I DARE SAY WE ARE DOOMED.

Religion / Re: Katsina Govt To Demolish 99 Year Old ECWA Church by Debonair01: 7:38am On Jan 11, 2015
Its been some time since i commented on Nairaland, mainly because i feel too much foolishness and rash statements are beginning to flood here.

First off.. i am christian, and never being to Kastina state, but let me ask a question,

DO YOU ALL KNOW WHAT "STOP NOTICE" MEANS?

You can not put a stop notice on a competed building... a demolition notice is put. So the question should be, what work exactly is being done in and around the said church currently. If we are told the full story, only then should any reasonable person make a comment for or against the stop order. What exactly is the notice asking to be stopped?

the first picture above is the wonder bag and the others are all various variants of the clean cook stove. So the general idea is.... u make the food half done, the put ur pot in the wonder bag to cook the rest. sad sad sad sad sad

I dont see myself or anybody that i know that would decide do that just to get food ready. if you see the quantity of fire normally used for cooking, i suppose some can be akin to hell fire.... you will understand that nigerians in the rural areas just generally want to cook quick and get out of the kitchen

ok... y'all be the judge, lets all reason the contract and take like a pool as to if you would use one, or think ur auntie the village would.

THE WONDER BAG, honestly.... i think its a waste of money. For the clean cook stove, i do not see how it differs so much from the saw dust variant already in use in most rural areas today.

please find pictures attached lets discuss...

DO YOU THINK THE PROJECT IS WORTH SPENDING 9.2BILLION NAIRA ON?

She hasn't grown one yet, and i doubt she intends to, given that she enjoys the version she has. But unlike what i am used to from home, she doesn't play hanky pinky with her "goods". When she wants to (which is almost always), she comes out straight and says what/how exactly she wants it. Which still contributes to my weird feelings as well... i suppose

Romance / Weird Feeling: BF/GF Reversed Roles - Lets Hear Your Experience by Debonair01: 8:31am On Nov 24, 2014
So, i am out of the country schooling and just started seeing this girl (non Nigerian). But i have been observing a weird feeling (not sure exactly what it is tho). She drives a car, and she works too so, has her money. Its her country so she knows places to visit and all.

The weird feeling i guess is bore out of the feeling of reversed roles (in the traditional sense of it - i am old school like that.. grin). Back at home, its usually i who does the driving, goes to drop the girl at home, takes the girl out and all as well as the one that always calls (my new gf has free calls, so she does the calling)... even alway insists on paying for most of our outings. Now i am having all this done for me and i am feeling weird. Is this normal?

I remember i used to complain that i spend too much on my girls and all, but now it just hit me that i actually enjoy doing all those things for my women. Do not get me wrong, i like said girl, and do enjoy the attention and all..... but just wondering about the weird feelings.

I do not feel emasculated or anything like that, just feeling weirdly funny, more so as i have always in the past toiled/joked with the idea of having a sugar mummy wink grin . So, my question is, ARE WE MEN GENERALLY WIRED TO BE THE ONE TO TAKE CARE OF OUR WOMEN, OR I AM JUST TOO TRADITIONAL AND/OR OLD SCHOOL TO JUST ENJOY THE ATTENTION?

Was surfing the web and minding my own business (and others too... grin) jejely when i ran into this video by Frank Nweke. I most say i was blown away by his oratory and seeming ideology (tho...always known him as a good orator from his information ministry days), But that i was highly impressed by the video is just putting it lightly.

I am not from the east, but in all honesty, i would have voted for him if i were. So my question is this..... IS HE JUST SWEET TONGUED OR REALLY THE KIND OF YOUNG LEADERS NIGERIANS NEED AT THE MMENT? Fluent, articulative, inspiring, even coming across as highly intelligent (traits i honestly can't attribute to our current oga at the top sad). Guys watch this video and lets hear what you think.

Everyday we must encounter one hate filled thread or something similar lacking neutrality and objectivity.

Never seen these types of threads aimed at ridiculing ones right to religion when Muslim Umma go for yearly beatitude in Mecca

Sorry to ask, are you high or something? what is hate filled about asking a straight forward question. Either you dont understand politics or what some people can do to get what they want or u just playing stupid.

I dont know GEJ personally, or where he stands with regards to things as this.... but the way my mind works is.... when anyone do anything out of their ordinary routine, i always get to ask questions so as to be well prepared for the eventuality of what their true intentions might be.

Everything about this present trip was/is a deviation from the GEJ i have gotten to observe for the past couple of years. From the way he was dressed to his delegation there.

If it happens to be an innocent "seeking the face of God" then good for him....and i wish him well. But if its a play at gullible nigerians, i guess he has succeeded, atlas with you.
Politics / Gej On Pilgrimage: Coincidence Or Scripted Out Plan by Debonair01: 12:31pm On Oct 27, 2014
The past couple of days have seen GEJs pictures praying in Israel flood the net. Not very different from him kneeling to be prayed on, shortly before last election. My question then is..... Is GEJ just a very religious and prayerful fellow, or is he subliminally playing on the psyche of Nigeria christians?

Without fear of sounding like a broken record, i fear the later is the case. But then again, it could just be coincidence and he is just a religious guy.

Lets hear from you guys.... what do you think?

Disclaimer: I am not member of any political party, but i tend to have a bias against the present administration, reason being it has performed below par (Just my opinion). I am also a Christian, but dnt really care, one way or another in terms of religion when it comes to politics/leadership (strongly Pro - Church/state separation)
