Is there anyone that studied chemistry that has been screened?
I got a bsc in chemistry and got screened in Sam Ethan base.2 guys screened me..the official that checked my result quickly told me that I didn't graduate from faculty of education, the one on the keyboard then brought out the paper listing the courses.and said I was correct to have a bsc...because a different faculty will entail bsc edu.after the argument, the same enemy of progress official went on to tell me that even if...I graduated with a 2:2 and they have lots of 2:1.I was then asked my age and height.the enemy of progress official went on to tell me about his masters and when he acquired it.before they finally said I could go...I didn't see if they wrote Q or NQ.so everything depends on your course of study and the official that screens you.

well, so far so good i have done my screening but not without God's favor though and i want to share my experience and also some sort of advice to applicants that are yet to be screened.

well on thurday, the 5th of may was the turn of Enugu state applicants at the Lagos Zone and i was fortunate to be the first person from my state in my zone i paid the price though cos an officer used myself and some other candidates from ekiti and delta states to clean up the jonnah wuyep multipurpose hall; venue for the screening. after that, the FLT LT then asked a chorus question who's a computer expert? not certificate carrying expert that doesn't know anything o, he added, knowing that i fit in i quickly signaled by raising up my hand and he told me 'don't be like the boy that spoikt our system yesterday' i laughed and told him i won't, he then took my self and one other guy from Ekiti to assist him with the screening, he asked me of my state of origin after which i told him he then gave me Enugu state which is of course my state to screen, after putting me through on how to go about the process then of course he asked me to screen my self first grin, well you know the rest na.....lol. so i started screening candidates from my state together with the officer as he was scrutinizing the docs while i was cross checking them on the system. now that brings me to the following observations as regards what will either qualify or disqualify a candidate:

1. WRONG COURSE OF STUDY: please if you know that your course of study wasn't listed please my dear don't waste your time going there. still on that, some candidates were atmy mercy as the officer in charge wasn't too grounded on some of the courses so i had to educate him more E.G they want computer Engineering graduate for infotech, now if you study system engineering which is still thesame thing then due to ignorance from the part of the officers they will just put NQ for you, so i had to explain to them that they are both thesame thing.

2. AGE: yes age, if you are 35+, na God hand your case dey o.

3. PHOTOCOPY OF CREDENTIALS : For God sake, please go with all your originals, don't present any PHOTOCOPY

4. HEIGHT:Please ensure they check your height very well, for male it is 1.68 min. for female 1.65 min, you will see some people smiling and presenting a height that will disqualify them, in most cases, i had to beg them to go back and have their height retaken.

5. NO PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH ON YOUR ATTESTATION FORM:
Yes, believe me or not, the officer disqualified some candidates cos of that.

6. AGE DECLARATION DONE AFTER 2014 If your age declaration is bearing 2015 or 2016, please change it now before going there to avoid stories that touch.

at this point let me allow you guys go through these ones as am still not done. TBC
hmmm..I guess since Enugu was backing d multi purpose hall I can't say u re lying, but for ekiti n delta the only person that was not wearing uniform was wearing a naf official I.d.pls did they tell u when to expect text messages?

These naf officials are silly. They misuse the information given to them by candidates.. Imagine collecting a candidates number from their database and calling the candidate at night that you would like to see her.9ja..bunch of stupid officials.

On the site it was written a squadron leader in the airforce or equivalent in the nigerian military, which puts that Luietenant Colonel from your state in the best position to give u an attestation of good character! The signature will be conflicting that is the form and the attestation letter it might be overlooked at the enlistment centre, but when u get to kaduna mine sister doubt if they will overlook it, try and go back
yes..but it was not stated that it had to be the same person,it also does not state that the person must be from your state...all it said was that it had to be the same calibar of people.never the less I would cross that bridge when I get there.

ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION it is dishearten that some people are using this thread to discorage our galant female asparant from applying in the on going ssc, i dont no the reason behind it, some even claim that they are in the last 2014 ssc recruitment and they are giving false information people like sosulz, i was in kaduna NDA in the last 2014 ssc final interview, three females only were invited and were all droped on medicals ground because they all did not meet the required height as stated in the advert, this is what they told me after they were all droped because i had a chat wit them, and as a mater of fact 2 females that make it to interview in 2013 were all sucessful which i saw them in the camp, advice nigeria army give special consideration to female provided they make it to final selection board because they are always few.
ohh
.Thanks..I'm going to the cafe in d barracks to apply today...I've given up before..because I don't want to stress signing all those forms when at d end I wud be disqualified because I'm a girl...

In 2014 a few females went for the SSC selection board, none went for training and it seems it was on purpose. I was not surprised when I saw the advise given to females on the site saying we are advised to apply under Medical, legal or PR.
really? Is there any advice like that in 2016?so I don't want to waste money getting a licence..n also for those interested apparently to get the firefighting course it must be in group...so organise urselves

For those who studied chemistry and physics that want to apply for the fire fighting part. Pls go to google, type institute of safety professionals of nigeria, get on their site, check on their fire courses. They offer courses on fire fighting. But i will advice that you visit NCAA to get a list of organisations approved to run fire fighting courses. The course last for 3-5 days so you can get your certification even before the selection board. Just go to NCAA...they have offices in all our airports. Good luck.
. I hope this works..I wud try visiting ikeja airport
