The biafra war, left an indelible mark in the lives of Nigerians regardless of region or ethnicity.

Nigerians can relate to her pain, but instead of dwelling on the past the question we should be asking ourselves is what have we learnt from the past and how can we move forward. Fire doesn't quench fire.

I understand the British govt was hypocritical about the civil war, claiming to be neutral but secretly supplying arms to the central govt, a lot of lives were lost from both waring factions. It is truth indeed if there are no enemies within, the enemies outside can do us no harm. Nigeria has always been a business enterprise to the colonizers, (Royal Niger company) so loosing a fraction of it, especially a fraction with oil is not something that the Nigerian govt and the British govt were ready to forfeit.

We need to heal as a nation the deed has been done, this ego-war amongst tribe needs to be discarded. United we stand divided we fall, and guess who still benefits if we fall the colonizers.

I have read some criticism and positive comments regarding the queens reign and death. Well, it is expected, if nobody talks about you then you're nobody.

Why blame her for colonialism?
she wasn't born when Africa was partitioned.
In Nigeria, in 1861 Lagos was already a colony of the British govt, 1900 Southern and Northern protectorate were already established, 1914 amalgamation made Nigeria possible, The queen was born in 1926, so what's her role in colonization?

In 1953 she was crowned queen of England at the age of 25, part of Africa was already under colonization by the British govt, changing the status quo is always a difficult task as she was the ceremonial head of state. what could she have done to end colonization!? Now British rule have ended, how have our beloved leaders changed the status quo.

Heavy lies the head that wears the crown, although colonization have left an indelible mark on Africans, It is time for us to harness our resources, talents to grow as a nation, blame game will on make us stagnant.
May HM soul RIP.

Politics / Re: Tinubu Met, Resolved Muslim-Muslim Ticket Crisis With CAN Leaders - Leadership by Deji08: 8:13am On Sep 05, 2022
The June 12, 1993 Muslim - Muslim tickect was a different case entirely, the country wasn't as polarize along religious divides as we see today.

For the sake of equitable representation, the president and the VP should be from different faith. This is Nigeria an not a modern nation that can differentiate state from the church/mosque.

You know the logic is faulty when u see men taking sex as an achievement.
Politics / Re: Deji Adeyanju: Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso Must Force Alliance To Defeat Tinubu by Deji08: 7:59am On Aug 29, 2022
Well, until we restructure the country and model our system like that of the modern nations I fear no significant change can happen.

The so called activists should renounce his title as an activist cos the way his be subtlely campaigning for Tinubu has clearly shown he is a lap dog for the APC.

he has said big ideas don't win election, what wins is ethnicity, religion, rigging etc. I fear he is correct on this and he is also implying that this is what the ruling party intend to use.
Travel / Re: Untold Truth About Why Immigrants Are Leaving Canada by Deji08: 11:29pm On Aug 27, 2022
Regardless of the situation in Canada, a lot of Nigerians would still pick Canada over Nigeria. (Colonization of the mind).

Judging from your post, I guess insecurity, corruption and racism aren't a major challenge, cos if it was I belief it would have be in the top rank in ur list.

A lot folks go there with over exaggerated expectations at the long run they get disappointed.

If the leaders fail to solve the root cause of our problem then they aren't ready for a significant change.

Restructure the country, strengthen institutions and stop dependending on a single individual to solve decades problem.
Politics / Re: Adewole Adebayo: Abuja Would Have Been Like Ajaokuta If Not For IBB's Vision by Deji08: 1:28pm On Aug 27, 2022
"we should grateful to IBB" for what exactly? for freeing corrupt politicians from prison?

for taking IMF loan despite all the advice giving to him?

for failing to transition to civil rule.

IBB and all the other coup plotters should be apologizing to Nigerians for tempering with our democracy.

Romance / Re: Masturbation, Betting Have Killed Me Help Out by Deji08: 9:55pm On Aug 26, 2022
I hope this will help, you need self-discipline to stop betting,
and when it comes to masturbation u need to indentify ur triggers and avoid them, and it still doesn't guarantee you won't relapse, when u do eventually relapse, don't be hard on ur self just continue from where u stopped.

it's a continuous struggle.

Education / Re: ASUU: Eksu, Uniosun, Kasu Tackle Osodeke Over "Quack Universities" Statement by Deji08: 8:07pm On Aug 26, 2022
It hurts to feel sabotage by those you're fighting for, so the utterrance by the ASUU chairman is from someone that feels pained.

The aforementioned universities feel pained for been called quack but yearly the FG continually abuses them indirectly by failing to honour their demands, instead of demanding an apology from the ASUU chairman, they should be demanding an apology from the FG.

Beyond this ego-war the way forward is for a restructuring of the University system, each university should be responsible for the management and control of their funds. Let them use the money they make to develop themselves and stop depending on the FG.

If the uni doesn't restructure then I fear strike will continue to happen.
