A lot of factors are involved. Its possible to get residency based on certain types of businesses. DM, i can share details with you
SMGGroup:

Is there any cap to minimal amount to get invest.
Like can a small scale business qualify for the residency
Travel / Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by Dejoe2019: 6:28am On May 17, 2022
Changing a visiting visa to a resident visa is not allowed. But if your aim is to establish a business, then you can do that and your business will give you residency.
SMGGroup:

Can I come to Turkey with a visiting visa, change to resident visa? If possible, how many years extension will they give?
And am I allowed to open my own business as that is my plan?
Maybe this question has been asked before but I am new here. Kind reply

Pretty simple and straightforward if you come with the right visa. Fill some forms in Turkish and pay the processing fees.

Hi guys, please does anyone here know the process of getting the residency after arriving at Turkey?
Travel / Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by Dejoe2019: 7:01pm On Jan 06, 2021
Yes, I am there
feelgoodstuffs:

Thanks for this info. Are you based there?
Travel / Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by Dejoe2019: 5:59am On Jan 06, 2021
I think your choice of accommodation may also depend on what you are coming to do in Istanbul. Are you coming for school or to just hussle? There is accommodation everywhere and anywhere. But if you are coming to husstle, dont even think of a furnished apartment. Your money go finish. And to add to it, its possible you also share accommodation.

feelgoodstuffs:

Pls bro I’ll be arriving in two weeks time, I’ll need furnished or unfurnished apartment, can you help?
Travel / Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by Dejoe2019: 8:44pm On Jan 01, 2021
How long do you intend to stay?
Are you going to be schooling or searching for job? When you say sustain, is it only food, rent and bills? 1m can sustain you for nothing less than 6 months if it's just house, bills and food.

Paramedickelvin:
Please was an average budget or rather how much can I have to sustain myself in Turkey, will a million Naira or 2m be okay....

First you need to explain where exactly you are. Turkey is a big country. Are you in Istanbul , Ankara or another province?
What exactly do you want to buy? Is it clothes, electronics or food items? These will help people answer you.

I think so. If they are not approving, it makes no sense to ask you to come with a PAID ticket.

olamide100:
i called the embassy some minutes ago and was told to come to the embassy with my flight booking and insurance. does that mean my visa is approved .
Travel / Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by Dejoe2019: 5:36am On Nov 10, 2020
Nothing wrong in asking respectfully.
You have a right to know.

Fezzar:
Hello everyone

You can come with your laptop. Its gradually getting very cold now in Istanbul. You can travel with any jacket you have. But believe me, the best jackets are here in Turkey. You would likely not find them in Nigeria as we do not have winter there.

Paramedickelvin:
What should students take along please am I allowed to bring my laptop with me? and as the weather how Cold is it in Turkey especially this Period!? an advise please
Travel / Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by Dejoe2019: 7:25pm On Oct 25, 2020
Why were you earlier denied a resident permit? I hope you understand the reasons, so you dont make the same mistake.. Since you paid your overstay due, you may likely get another opportunity. All the best.

tracin123:

Thank you very much. I got an interview with the Turkish embassy, I did everything myself. I have been to Turkey before and I overstayed up to 9months because I was crying to get a resident Permit. I did pay my overstay dues.

I want to try go back again because my first experience there was great on the areas of buying goods and sending to my wife in Nigeria.

I have my company documents and good statement of account and property, kids birth certificate and their international passport included.

I’m so much tensed about it already and hope I stand a stance in getting it

The instruction on the email is provide a confirm Paid return ticket. Is that difficult to understand or the email he received is different ?

Tell him to follow the instruction if he is still interested in traveling.

Abeks009:

House,

A family member applied for visitor's visa in Abj on Friday Oct 16th and got the same message as @Folarge06. He stated he submitted his booked/confirmed (NOT PAID) ticket during the interview at mzvisa. With this email, is he supposed to go get a PAID ticket or can he resubmit the confirmed ticket he submitted initially at mzvisa? He's unsure of when he will travel to Turkey with everything else going on with Nigeria so he is hesitant to go pay for a ticket.

He did the application by himself without an agent and has some travel history although his current passport does not have any visa stamp from previously visited countries.

Appreciate your insight.

Yes, it is possible and it would be a later date, not earlier. The note in the email to you explains what you need to do.

Folarge06:

Thanks boss
Bro can I change my travel date to a later date other than the one I used for visa application.

My first question is do you have the original one year visa now?

Cokacola:
Greetings house,
Please I’m seeking for advice from experience people in the house here, late last year, I was deported from turkey(port of entry) instanbul airport because and agent scammed and gave me a fake visa, I was snapped and thumbprint at the airport before being deported!! Now, I want to go back with a genuine one year visa, so I’m asking, will I have issues at the airport? And if I was issued a ban, will I be ask to pay a fine or wait till the ban is over??
Travel / Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by Dejoe2019: 12:27pm On Sep 03, 2020
Very difficult at the moment, the only good job available is teaching and many schools are not recruiting at the moment as primary and secondary schools are still online. Only kindergarten students are allowed to receive face to face teaching at the moment . Even then , many parents have refused to send their children to school . You have to make very good plans because this year is going to be tough.
