@ bountimore, i was not asked anything at the airport , the process went like this, first you will be giving a landing card on the plane which you have to fill ,then on getting to the airport you as well as other non EU passport holders will av to go through another entry seperate from the UK and EU passportholders, you will be on a queue and wait to be called after which i was asked for my passport(in my case) and asked if i liv here or not and i said am new, the immigration officer then told me to put my finger on the finger scanner to check my identity match with what i supplied in nigeria, afterwhich she stamped my entry, thats alll, so simple in my own case but cant say what will happen in other people's case, so its not sumtin that tough,

am grateful to God for journey mercy from nigeria down to manchester, got to the UK this morning and want to relief those guys that have gotten their visas by telling them there is nothing like showing your maintainance funds at the point of entry, i had a very wonderful experience from naija to manchester without any itch, so nobody should be scared, the only place i had lil issues was in naija,our immigration officers demanded bribe from one check point to the very last checkpoint but i made sure i didnt fall for it, i would advise we all keep our educational documents we used in applying for the visa in a hand luggage and not the main bag cos the corupt nigerian immigration officers will want to play on your intelligence if they see you dont have it at hand, please we should all liv as soon as possible cos they just suspended all visa applications till further notice and might want to take more strict measures wen its mid september cos there will be many students travelling at that time, i wish every body best of luck,and for the people still awaiting;i hope the suspension will not affect your application, all the best

@ skiii, brother i no fit laff wen i see ur post o, lol, me n bountimore have all reason to be anxious, we are humans ,our application too d longest and we both had mistakes wit our application, in my case ,i use the old application form, what made the anxiety get higher was when we saw post of guys that applied after us saying they have collected their visa, i thought mine was jinxed by the underworld at a point in tym, lol, we thank God for making it positive at last anyway cos it wud av been a sad case if it went the other way,

hello peeps, got sum relieving news for we still waiting for our reply, called VFS today n was told by one of their agent that d processing time is 20working days on the average due to the peak period we submitted our applications, mine is now 21days so am hoping to hear from them soonest, fellows lets just hope we get to hear gud news soon, thanks,

@ all, Pls all nairalanders, there is a new twist to this application tin.i just got a call from my bank that the embassy wants to verify my account n make sure all funds are still intact, thank God every fund is still intact, wat i now get to know now is that. 1, the application period is now 20working day and the reason for dis is to make sure all funds are in your account after you apply, 2.they now cross check every document you supply so pls don't supply fake documents cos they will detect, wish all of us still waitin best of lucks,
